Just a quick check...

Did you want this page to link to RDD or Talk:RDD. I only ask because it's a talk, so I thought you may have been aiming for the talk. :P --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:58, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Not a problem, just noticed it on RC, so thought I should check.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 23:27, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Red Links

Nice. Im starting with those with one link. Most likely to be mispellings or speedy deletion links. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 16:16, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Thaed

Hi,... I don't really know Thaed that well,... but I don't ever recall him having posted such personal information on his User mainspace like what can be seen in this revision.... and I agree with Red Hawk that it seems fairly odd that he'd be blanking pages like that. I'm wondering if his account's been hacked, and if there is some way we could investigate that at all... what do you think? I'm going to hit up a couple other Sysop/Wiki Mod's on this too... so if you want to contact me via my talk page about it, or post in the relative subsection of my talk page, that would be cool.... -Poodle of DoomM! Is my signature a problem?

I use the four tildes when signing posts, put my sig as my nickname. I just noticed that it was posting the full character count of my signature code plus what ever I added on the recent changes page. Am I doing it wrong? Or am I just being ignorant? Or is there an easier, cleaner way to sign? Just curious. Thanks. MikhailI don't have to be careful, I've got a gun.Kalashnikov разговор 06:16, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

*barges in* I think it's probably an issue with the fact that your signature is being substituted into the pages where you place it, rather than being included, as far as I can tell (i.e. when substituting, it's no different than copy/pasting the code for your sig and putting it where the tildes are, whereas with including, it's like putting a placeholder where the tildes are, and telling the wiki to grab the sig later). If you check here, it mentions putting in nosubst in the Nickname field of your preferences. Did you do that? If not, that would probably explain why. The subst statement makes your signature get included, and the wiki inserts it by default in the Nickname field, even if you didn't type it in. To get around it, we add in nosubst, which changes it from being substituted to included.
Anyway, it's not a problem either way. The advantage of having it included is that if you change your signature later, all previous uses of it change as well. If it's substituted, then they stay as they were at that time. The disadvantage of including it is that it puts slightly more strain on the wiki and it also can break with pages that have loads of templates or very large templates. Sweet, thanks. I noticed the mess of code people would have to wade through after I post danger reports or on talk pages, as above. Figured it was something that 'crats would have to report or clean up. I guess I was asking Misanthropy because it was his code that I bastardized. Anyways, thanks for barging in and helping me out yet again. It's appreciated. You should get a cake or a medal for being so durn'd helpful on the wiki, or maybe some kind of code equivalent. I don't know if it get's much better than those cookie templates. MikhailI don't have to be careful, I've got a gun.Kalashnikov разговор 01:51, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Being helpful around here gets you punished with a promotion. :P Aichon 02:53, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Aich. Any more helpful and I might have to vote for you in the next crat election from your promotion. Tongue :P Nothing to be done! 12:57, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Lumberjacks png file

What did you do with The Lumberjacks.png when you deleted our Penny Heights group listing? Can you put it back? Spend a few months in the wild managing the forest of zombies and the administration goes all postal! --Piker Pete 23:55, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, restore the png if you can. The Lumberjacks have been active; just don't pay much attention to the meta-game. --Piker Pete 00:05, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Images that are deleted are gone for good, Mis, unlike articles and the like. They can't be restored, unfortunately, and yep, it looks like theirs was deleted as a scheduled deletion for images that are unused. Aichon 00:46, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

If it was deleted by me within the last two months there, it'll still be saved onto my computer. I save all unused images I delete, but I don't know which image you mean. -- 04:33, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
