Probability Chart

If you are visiting this page with questions regarding the Guides:Kill Probability article, put them here. I'll try to answer in layman's terms, so if you're not a mathematician, fear not! --Phoenixshade 12:48, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

The Image

Image:Probmath2.PNG. I think that most versions of MediaWiki have TeX installed. I know that there are usually options in preferences that allow people to display things as symbols (should their font allow it), or default to TeX produced images, etc.

If it's not too much trouble (and if it is enabled on the UDWiki), would you be willing to rewrite that in TeX? –Xoid MTFU! 01:17, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't believe that TeX is enabled on the UDwiki... or I simply misinterpreted it's use. I attempted to include the equation without resorting to an image unsuccessfully. I will try to do so again in the near future, as soon as some RL issues are out of the way. Using symbols is out of the question, as to my knowledge there are no font-based solutions that allow me to display the ratio portions of the equation correctly. If I'm mistaken, let me know... or better yet, if you have a bit more experience with TeX than I do, feel free to take a whack at it. Thanks for the feedback. — Phoenixshade TJ!TUD 21:22, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Flame Wars and Other Nonsense

This Edit

Here. It was XP loss at the time. If you want to state that it is no longer, do so, but don't change what was said. –Xoid MTFU! 03:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Here's a tip: don't mouth off when you got caught modifying someone's comment. Most people would've just reported you to vandal banning instead.
"I seriously considered revamping half the drek on that FAQ." — . . .who hasn't?
"If you want it to read like a discussion board, maybe you should state so clearly." — There is something called "commonsense", try to use it. Editing someone else's comment, especially when it's been replied to, is like ramming words down their throat. The reply was timestamped; you can't honestly say you weren't revising history.
"Keep your "U!" for those who are truly n00bs." — Project UnWelcome is parody. If you're too thick to tell, you've got bigger things to worry about than your attitude problem. Regardless, you are a n00b. Your bringing up U! is proof of that, hell, your entire whinefest on my talk page is proof of that.

Vandal banning? Over something that insignificant?? Good God, man, it's just grand for you to talk about someone else's attitude. I've read enough of your posts to know that if U! is parody, then you need an entry-level discourse on what the word means. Your responses to various posts shows that you take it pretty seriously. Maybe after you graduate and have to deal with people in the real world, someone will knock you back a couple of notches. Your own attitude bears the stamp of college freshman.
As for my "n00b" status, I'll admit that my experience with wikis is relatively young... but I've had a home computer of some type at all times since the TRS-80 Model III in 1979. I started participating in the BBS community in 1983. I've had internet access continuously since 1990. My guess is that you haven't even been alive that long.

Yes, over something that insignificant. Most users do not have the time to check someone's contributions in depth and we've got a sordid history of people trying to mask subtle vandalism in between legitimate edits. Note that I've never said I didn't have an attitude problem — it's something I openly acknowledge. Bear in mind that even if U! didn't exist that I'd still react in the same way; I don't tolerate fools easily. Never have, never will.
Here's something to think about; bitching about something when I leave a short and to the point message on your talk page? That riles me up. If you wanted a nice reaction you shouldn't have baited me.
One final thing; bringing age into the equation? How quaint. Irrelevant, just like everything from the last sentence of the first paragraph. (Neither age nor your years spent with computers make a scrap of difference — if you read the definition of n00b you'd know why. Or maybe you're just conveniently ignoring it? Who knows…) Since you're curious, I'll answer your question. If you clarify something — "…haven't even been alive that long…" — you mentioned numerous dates there. Which one were you referring to? –Xoid MTFU! 04:15, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Bah! I tire of this; I have better things to do than to argue with some boob on an insignificant corner of the Internet. Just because you know a thing or two about wikis, web design, programming, etc. doesn't mean you can't be a troll. If you're attention hungry for a reaction, look elsewhere. I'm done.

Krebbs

Ended up here under your user space which id more typical for in-game char pages. You could make a link to from User:Phoenixshade to get to it easier. Enjoy. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 08:39, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
