Me and three friends from the OCU are no longer MIA. We have returned but with a new ethos. Good to see you got into a respectable group after the OCU disbanded as sorts. I will be desigining a website and rebuilding a forum for activity with my team. We are not a group but more just a squad who work together and work with other groups. I am just awaiting revival at Bhore Monument and then I will be living in Vinetown again to reclaim some of the territory we lost in the last battle. My main page is having a template align issue, but it only concerns a section for one of my alts; A Pantomime Horse. I think it stems from the template for 10mfh. If I take that one out, the others align as I want them (centered), but when I put it back...kerflooey! I can't see anything in the template design to cause the kerflooeyness. Not in love with the suburb clean-up policies. Some groups are actively meta-gaming outside of the Wiki. If I hadn't randomly clicked on the discussion page for some OTHER group that PK'ed me, I would never have known a purge was in process. As part of your purge, did you track down the meta-gaming sites listed for each group, then register and post there? No? That might be considered impolite. Hello; I'm Charles Degaulle and I have joined the UD community and started using the Wiki. Thank you for your interest in helping me to figure out some of the ways that I can use this community based website to learn more about the Wiki and about the UD community. I have just joined the community like I said, and with my normal workday I can only visit these pages a few times a week. I do like the idea of finding a group of people that I can talk to that want to visit and share ideas about the Wiki and UD in general so here's what I would like to ask you. 1. Since I joined I have noted on my User talk page a few statements about my feelings and some ideas I would like to explore in the UD community. I have already gotten a few responses from... 1. A community member named "Michael Read", who posted a general welcome and gave me a very handy Quick Ref. table that I haven't moved because of it's usefulness at the top of my User Talk - Discussion Page and my newness at not knowing yet how to or where I would want to move it yet. When I read through the Suggestions and Editing I got an idea how to organize the information better by creating a "Sub-page" for placing the information that I want to work on for later. How do I create a sub-page for organizing the information that I want to save? When I read through the User Quick ref table that I got from community member Michael Read I tried to create a subpage by typing my User Page header with the flag shown on the user ref guide into my User page but it didn't create a separate page. I'll bet I just typed the User page ref with the flag into the wrong area. Do I type the User Page -flag into the Search box to create a subpage? 2. You kindly asked if I wanted any help with learning how to use and /or get organized. Yes, I want to ask for some information about what I saw when I logged on, and saw that I had a new message from a community member named "Jen". I clicked onto the link and I saw a view in my User Discussion Page that showed some of my previous comments listed in a table, with a "Split View" and another table beside it that included the lines that I had typed and a Green colored highlight beside the "Plus" icon. The highlighted area shows the comments that were added as a comment (or a reply) to my discussion. How do I preserve the comments if I want keep them? Are the comments saved by the Wiki editor without any other steps, or do I need to take some steps to preserve them? btw, I was delighted to get a response from the member and I wanted to thank him for sharing his thoughts. I want to understand a little more about this feature so that I can be sure to preserve the information and be able to thank the member for his comments or to reply to his interest. What area in the Suggestions would best help me to navigate safely to the "Save" and the "reply" features? Note-Background only-No question here I got a response to my idea about a Chronicle for Malton that describes some of the groups and factions fighting it out inside of the city. There are already a half-dozen or so chronicles that are dated from about 2005 up until about 2007 that do the same job but I haven't had enough time yet to read through them all. That's probably only a research topic that can be disposed of after I read through them. Having placed this kind of information into a subpage I can then keep up with the progress of reading through the History to be able to make my own observation that's more current. A Group Inactive and Group Active! - subcategories of Group Active? - Each template automatically adds the page to the appropriate category so that you don't have to double check every single link. I also think you should add the instructions to change the ? to an ! in the {{Group Active?}} so that the group automatically fixes the template and saves you guys some work.
