The Dead Walker

Yeah, as you can see I've grouped the suspiciously close UD IDs. This is pretty blatant. I'm gonna ask the MCM if they have any more profiles – I know they got hit in Eastonwood a couple weeks ago. - DevOhm 18:11, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

No, but I think I might start taking some shots. Luckily they're all grouped in Ackland Mall right now, so it's easy to keep track of them. I'll add them to my contacts list. Shame that Kevan doesn't care for abuse reports. I guess I could report them to the Resens liste, but player-based anti-zerg measures are sorta redundant against zombies. - DevOhm 18:14, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Doing a bunch a round. Said on the talk page I'd fill in the blanks that were left so we could get moving again, rather than chasing up holes. Shame to see it stop dead. Nothing to be done! 23:22, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

The Spanish Inquisition. (Okay, the Floridian Inquisition, but whatever)

Ross, I've got an overwhelming multitude of questions for you... guess I'll just get to it.

But before I do, a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and thanks for the autograph. I'm almost sorry you died, especially since I thought killing you was my group's job, and the feral who whacked you never got the recognition I'd intended for your vanquisher.

So on to the list:

1. Are you still working on your city concept? It seems to be stalling a bit, and dependent upon contributions.

2. We're pretty much just making a wiki map, right? Is there some other format that would be more helpful to Kevan if he wanted to implement this, or would he be forced to read every square's details and code them individually?

3. Have you actually talked to Kevan about this? Is he supportive of it?

4. You realize the map you've created so far is about 80% open space (I'm estimating), right? I've worked out a few details based on Borehamwood.... there it's about 50% open space as far as I can tell... I'm hoping to emulate it for overall building content. I have some specific numbers based on Duke Garland's map, but I'm not emulating those, just a few overall details.

5. Am I taking this way too seriously?

6. What about billboards, inside and outside messages, newspapers, phone masts, and anything else that I may have forgotten? Are we just leaving those to Kevan, or adding them in as we go along?

7. Should I have asked question 5 after question 6?

8. Seriously, and completely off-topic, what do you think of the massive zerging, use of traitor zombies, password sharing and forum spying the survivors in Borehamwood have been engaging in? There's been some speculation about your position on the matter. Do you even care? Consider them legit tactics? Abhor and revile such behavior? Ignore it all and go microwave a burrito anytime anyone asks you about it (Are you even lucky enough to have burritos in Britain? Am I right in assuming you're in Britain?)? Will you even answer such questions now that you're officially dead? Are you still playing as Day 1? As a zombie or traitor zombie?

Sorry for the inquisition, but I've been meaning to ask you some stuff and it just sort of built up for a long time.... I finally got around to it. I hope you don't take any of it the wrong way, I probably could have seemed less obnoxious if I'd asked each question as they came up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Necrofeelinya (talkcontribs) at 19:26, 7 January 2010.

Torquemada Responds about the Burritos

Okay, this is why I should have mentioned things sooner. I now have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

First, who's Amy? Unless she's a hard drinking Michigan girl who works for a crazy-assed Scientologist dentist, I don't think I know her.

Second, if you don't like burritos, you must be some sort of weird perverted psychopath. Or British, because burritos aren't particularly conducive to the climate. But that's your only excuse. Except that maybe you aren't using enough hot sauce, or the wrong kinds of hot sauce.

Third, if all your alts are lying down, I figure that means you're done with BH. Sad, but thanks for the (not unexpected) straight answer.

Fourth, yes, you did a quite a bit for the zombies of BH, and I didn't accuse you of sharing passwords, zerging, etc. yourself. But you must know it's gone on, and I've been told by survivors that it's their practice. I'm just wondering about your position on it. I've never really explored the general attitudes toward the unwritten rules, and now I've been given some opinions, it seems many accepted rules have been flagrantly broken, if they're really commonly adhered to at all. Did you see that feeb Nemesis MK2's taunt about forum spying on us? It happened immediately after your demise.

Fifth, feeding us random 'caded locations? Not bad form at all. I actually appreciated it, though you can tell from the fact that I never invited you to join our group that I didn't trust you. Like I said, I was wondering if you were still active in BH, because I thought we could use more zombies. Sad you're done.

Sixth, I appreciate the offer, but no thank you on the Monroeville alts. I have probably a good 30-50 I've mostly forgotten the passwords for myself... I just kept creating new ones as they died.

Seventh, I'm glad to hear you're still working on Unimplementia.

Eighth, I guess that means you haven't mentioned it to Kevan yet. Well, I kind of expected that. I'll keep working on my project for now anyway. Although I'm getting way too involved in it, making it take much longer than it should. I'm occasionally assigning historically meaningful names to territories so people can Google them and find weird things out. Not so many yet, but if I keep up, eventually all the buildings and monuments in the city. There's a lot to choose from.

And yes, if you want you can "steal" Gulfpratt. I've already designed what I think is a better one though. I keep the details on my PC instead of the wiki. I only preview them on the wiki so I know they look right. I've actually gotten a little bit done, though not in 10x10 sections one at a time. I really think it'd be better if it were sprung on people without their knowing the map beforehand as usual. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Necrofeelinya (talkcontribs) at 20:34, 7 January 2010.

  • Not to interfere in what youre inventing here, but just wanted you to know that both Monroeville and Borehamwood were created because of advertising campaigns for "Diary of the Dead" and "Dead Set" accordingly. In other words, Kevan got paid for creating them. --~~~~ [talk] 09:40, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Yep. But its for fun really, but you never know. On the list of "Reasons not to make a new city" Having to design the fucker might well be one of them. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:57, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Zombie Pandemic again

Hey, have you noticed any locations that have ammo as free items? I've found one for .45 caliber bullets at 42,6; but no others... kind of weird, it was an otherwise uninteresting unmarked block and I don't know if it was finite (though I picked up a hundred of the buggers and it's still there). I'd really like to get my hands on a 5.56 cache :P --Bob Boberton TF / DW Littlemudkipsig.gif 03:46, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

28,9 also has free .45 bullets in unlimited supply. Haven't seen any other calibre for free though. Nothing to be done! 04:12, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Good Day

I've been pointed in this direction by the good Mr. Misanthropy for some coding help. My wikifu is very rusty, but I'm sure I've never seen a code for a scroll box on this wiki.

Does such a code exist?
Thank you for your time,

Vanitas Mori 20:38, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
It looks like you want to steal some code from Linkthewindow (who in turn stole it from someone else, haha). Mainly, it looks like you want a div section with a given size (height/width) and then "overflow:scroll" added in. Code Thieves forever! --Bob Boberton TF / DW Littlemudkipsig.gif 20:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

<div style="height: 100px; width:300px; border: thin solid black; overflow:scroll; background: #FFFFFF; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"> </div>

Case Information

I'll have another read of the case to see if there's anything which could do with removing, but for now, and with the arbitration case rolling, I think it should remain in place as is. Thanks mate. --Papa Moloch 03:17, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

I think that the decision should be entirely yours, mate. If someone wants to take it as a step-by-step guide in how to avoid accusation then they will have to wade through a lot of information in order to do so, but at the same time it's also an excellent guide for people who want to know how to spot zergs, so the article is of service either way. The main objective (getting the information out there and the Blackhawk Nation/Zerger listed as a cheat) has been accomplished and he won't get off the list without satisfying me that he has separated his alts and will keep them thus, so if you want to be rid of it then go ahead, but if you want to keep it all then also feel free to do so. Nice work on the case: It's arguably of the best I have ever seen. --Papa Moloch 21:34, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
That's definitely enough evidence against the account in question. If you copy and paste it to the ZL reporting thread I'll add the character in the next update. Nice spot. --Papa Moloch 00:42, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Am I missing something?

Is there some random reason you can think of as to why SA reverted the posting of the case I made on Arbies? [[2]]

I don't see anything on the page at a glance that says that only a SysOp can do it, so a little confused why it happened at all. --Maverick Talk - OBR Praise Knowledge! 404 18:30, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Re: Praise Whatever

Matter of fact, I didn't know the AoM had a conflict with BHN. The only PK group I recall beating down the BHN was the Flowers of Disease, and no zerging was seen in that conflict. About 3 years ago or so, the Angels hit Santlerville - hard - and gained the hatred of someone who created a about half a dozen or more zerg alts. Sonysucksisanasshat, BlurredBrain2isatard, etc. They're still active from time to time, and were generally attributed to Finis Valorum/Max Veers, the zerger who griefed Santlerville before getting steamrolled by just about every faction in the game. When I saw the AngelsofMercy Zerger, it immediately pinged the memory of the zerg in Santlerville...but on second glance, it looks like this BHN zerg was made 2 years after the original batch. Not sure if they're related...but seeing as I never heard of the AoM fighting the BHN (or even being active around the same time as the BHN existed), I figured they were one and the same. --DTPraise KnowledgePK 23:21, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Re: Leniency

I see it as you having drawn logical conclusions from evidence you've spent time compiling, and him flinging kneejerk accusations to draw the heat from him. As such, the onus is on him to back it up with evidence like you have, otherwise you're 110% in the clear. Unless Mav happens to be one of Chev's alts (ha!) then there's no way you'll realistically be asked to provide any of the concessions you've offered. You've got the strongest position imaginable in this situation, man. Nothing to be done! 18:22, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding your question about me editing the Power Station in DentonSide. I have no group there, but I think the wiki is a bit empty at the moment. There are no pictures of the plant as it is now, and no pictures of the interior.

My group and I ntoiced that there are a lot of suburb blocks that are rather empty,... and basically stubs,.... We're looking to expand as many as we can. I think something like this would really go to show individuals how much is really controlled by people, wether it be knowingly so, or otherwise. New City Question

Hey, Ross. Alright, so after spending a day coding and prepping one side of a town I've been working on, I found out I must have coded it wrong as when I went to preview it, instead of the table of buildings and such, I got a mess of text that was my coding.

How do you want the submissions to be formatted?

Also, do you have any objections to a town consisting of West, East, South, and then a mountain connecting to it? --TheBardofAwesome 05:05, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

No objections to any of it. If you post the raw text, i can work out whats wrong with the formatting!--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 09:30, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Alright, here's the block of it.
Alright dude, no rush. Thanks for the help. Also, I know that this isn't generally your thing, but if you or anyone you know are anywhere near Osmondville/Penny Heights, would you mind going to the cemetery by St. Aloysius's Church and reviving me? I've been waiting for my guy to be revived and instead people use me for target practice, heal me, and then whack at me some more.

I mean, it's amusing to see people abusing my guy like this, but because I have a strict no attacking survivors policy as a zombie, it's a pain in the ass to not being able to defend yourself.

Anyway, thanks for the help and I look forward to the revision.--TheBardofAwesome 02:44, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Notes Oak Stump Books is like the bookstore inside a mall. Grizzly Monument is a Revivification Point. Curtis Five is pretty much a mimic of a sporting goods store (Big 5). Brian's Gas and Wash is a gas station. Jackson Cemetery is a Revivification Point.

This is just a note that I'm working on both West Jackson, Clark Mountain, and possibly South Jackson. Yeah, I'm enjoying this.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what format to use, so I just went by what I know, with some help from the source coding of other districts. Thanks for the help Ross. I'll use the reformatted town as a basis for other parts. --TheBardofAwesome 14:03, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Hello again Ross. I was looking at the new city and saw an empty template that had the topmost row with info including Mount Clark, woodland, and Clark Road (South). Is this the section of town that I posted above?--TheBardofAwesome 13:56, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
it is. Will finish it tomorrow. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:23, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Red Links

I'm responsible for 94 of them. I'm getting to it. Sowwy. I can help with others though. Nothing to be done! 16:14, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Are you using Wanted pages to find them? It's certainly an interesting premise, but what will you do with pages like the Bureaucrat promotion pages that don't exist yet?--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 16:15, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Aren't most of the admin pages left uncreated most of the time? Also if you're starting from the low end, anything following the formula RDD/<Surburb> Map is my doing, I'm working my way through them gradually. Nothing to be done! 16:19, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
They are, but the crat election space for next month has already been made.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 16:20, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Thats how I find them. As for future pages, Leave them as they are. Its kind of why you cant just blitz them likewise. Any suggestion pages that don't exist need to be left, as they are part of an ongoing project of Boxy's. Likewide RDD's we can leave for now. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 16:21, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Are userspace links fair game, though? Since they're at the users discretion, surely editting them is some kind of breach of policy? Dunno, it IS just housekeeping, but it seems like a grey area to me.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 16:23, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I feel its a definite good faith edit, designed to remove unwanted empty links from the wiki. When was the last time you saw someone taken to VB for a spelling correction? And If we're only focussing on the pages with one link for now, the majority of them will only be linked to deletions anyway. You just remove the brackets and theirs still a record of the page name, just not linkified. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 16:26, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Rotter's Relief Suburb Wiki Page

Hello there, it's been a while.

I'm here to ask for a little favour, if you may.

RR has opened a new clinic over at Ruddlebank,in the Panes Building. I wonder if you could help me with the tweaks and what-nots?

Thanks a lot and sorry for imposing on you.
