About the nailgun

I've been thinking about your comment in the Suggestion:Discussion (as well as jiang's comment) - When you ask if it could make barracades stronger, do you mean would it allow people without construction to erect barracades (like up to lightly or quite strongly), or do you mean would it let a person erect 2 levels instead of 1 per AP (but they'd still need construction)? Or do you mean something else? Because in the event that it does get peer reviewed, I'd like to make another suggestion which might implement this idea as well --Tselita 22:26, 7 May 2008 (BST)

Yeh no one said that

Yeah, no one told me it was a dupe. I had it there for days and there was a lot of discussion. One person brought up a past peer reviewed vote but it had some significant differences to the one I made. The odd thing is it seems both of these past suggestions passed overwhelmingly, but have yet to be implemented. I hope they are soon. If you want, check out Talk:Discussion, I have 2 other suggestions in there as well. One of which will probably go to Suggetions in a day or two.--Tselita 18:32, 3 April 2008 (BST)

Actually I just read the 'dupe' original, and I still don't think it's a dupe. Different intent (seeing when overcading occurs and by who vs monitoring barracade changes up -and- down...which would cause more spam), different goal (stopping overcaders vs stopping death cultists from helping zombies outside break in), slightly different method, and only one direction (vsb++ to HB, not both ways). If you'd like, lets discuss? --Tselita 22:52, 3 April 2008 (BST)

Re: Your Vote on Headshot/Infection

You probably missed this due to the terrible formating, but he is indeed proposing that infection be made permanent --Gene Splicer 10:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

The Highton Building

Yeah, I tried to fix it but I didn't know how to. I'll be a little slower on the delete key next time. --Kingofallpie 19:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Building Status Updates

I've been digging all over, and I can't find how to update the building status. Neot General Hospital has fallen and is listed as safe. Can you point me to clear instructions? --Toner Low 03:30, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Location block edits

I just noticed them. Keep it up! --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 02:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

dont mention it. actually, it just began with me getting frustrated with wrong/broken links in my hometown of North Blythville, and then it just exploded into fixing everything. and since you are not yelling at me i guess i am doing a decent job for a new guy. --Scotw 02:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah good to see a regular user doing a heap of LB edits. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 12:19, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

i am not going to lie to you, it took me a few minutes to figure out what LB edits were. if anybody has any other mindless tasks for me ill be glad to help out. thanx for the encouragement --Scotw 12:27, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Don't tempt us... there are some really mind numbing tasks out there ;) Yeah, nice job. Hope you're using the disambiguation page category, and "whatlinkshere" to find "broken" links to location pages -- boxy talki 14:10 19 January 2008 (BST)

The link in the "Needs a location block" template that goes to the page that will generate the block is throwing out SQL errors. You probably don't have anything to do with that, but I thought you might want to know. --– Nubis NWO 01:14, 7 June 2008 (BST)

I didn't mean you shouldn't add that. I'm just saying that it might take longer to get those blocks put in since that part isn't working. I don't want you to think people are ignoring your request for the blocks. It's just that it will have to be done by hand until whomever set that up is contacted and fixes it. Adding that template is actually very helpful in the fact that we can look at all the "what links here" on the template page and see what we need to fix. Keep it up! --– Nubis NWO 01:22, 7 June 2008 (BST)

hey!

thanks for all the maintenance work on the list! If you wanna discuss new locations, check out the talk page--Jed 13:59, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

RE: Number Groups

Thanks for the encouragement! I'll be sure to re-submit it as soon as the 24 hour period is up. I can't believe some moron sysop removed it just because I put some examples in. Grr. --Hhal 20:45, 10 February 2008 (UTC) EDIT: Just in case you were interested, the revised version is ready in my sandbox. --Hhal 21:02, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Number Groups v2.1

I'm happy to say I finally got a version that wasn't removed. Check here for the newest version. --Hhal 18:36, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Reply

Yeah, there's nothing I can do about it. Your best bet is A/D. There's a good enough chance that it'll get deleted. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:43, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

No AHLG, the chance is far less than being "good". CK has already been through the A/D process, & it has resulted only in the whiners being made to look the fools they are. However, because the wiki-lawyery ended up contributing to the overall gain in CK membership, please ScotW, feel free to resubmit. Really, you have our support. :) We'd love the publicity, & really appreciate the lulz. Cheers! --Canker Sore|CK | GC | ZHU | MEM | 22:06, 21 February 2008
CK is much better established group, it has content, sub-pages and group members. The Nazi group on the otherhand, has little to no content and is probably offensive to a lot of people. If the group was allowed to stay and go inactive, there would probably be a decent chance that it would be deleted in the future. No guarantees though, the wiki is still in a anti-group deletion phase after crit 13 was abolished.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:20, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
I somehow reversed the order of those links in my brain & read it as comparing the CK page to a nazi page, rather than the other way around (although that is a rather unfair comparison as well). So my apologies all around. Feel free to vandalize my talk page as retribution. ;) --Canker Sore|CK | GC | ZHU | MEM | 00:37, 22 February 2008

NT status

(reposted from my talk page) I'm using The Dead's private aggregate clan data. You must have noticed we're pretty organized. Clan leaders have decided that we should share some of the data with everyone else. I not only know what everyone else has seen, but also when they saw it, so I'm not putting old data up. I only put the "Unknown" tag when our data is more than 10 days old, or has conflicting information. Iunnrais 20:52, 25 April 2008 (BST)

Hey thanks for being cool about it. BALLS TO THE WHALLS!!!! --Toejam 16:44, 17 May 2008 (BST)

Phone Mast Talk

You update the mast status in the SW area quiet often, care to drop by the The Mast Talk page and give a quick opinion on a template change? -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 15:46, 23 May 2008 (BST)

Danger Report Categories

Just to say, when I ran the bot-assited update on all the danger reports I didn't bother to keep the suburb categories at the time and as such all of them got wiped. However, I'll probably be running it again in the near future, so it's not too vital to go over them all and fix them, they'll get replaced in the next run through because it seems people actually want them.

Sorry about screwing some of your work on the North Blythville reports over.

-- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 18:10, 28 May 2008 (BST)

i just added the categories to the danger reports that i updated, i had no intention of doing them all. as for screwing some of my work up, i have no idea what you are referring to, but i am sure that you were improving the wiki, so i cant be upset with your work. plus i think the north blythville stuff was my first attempt at creating pages, so i am sure they had numerous errors for you to fix --Scotw 18:20, 28 May 2008 (BST)

Suggestion

If you think that my suggestion is so, to use the plebian term, "shitty," then why don't you come up with a better one yourself? --Specialist290 21:18, 4 June 2008 (BST)

Duly noted. I'd like to apologize if I seemed a little harsh, but I've been under a fair bit of stress lately, and people not reading suggestions before voting on them is one of my pet peeves. It seems we got started off on the wrong foot... --Specialist290 21:32, 4 June 2008 (BST) (P.S. And yeah, I agree that actually being able to dodge bullets would be ridiculous, but I was using that as a sort of "springboard" to jump off from. I'll probably revise it to make it more "lore-correct" and less unbelievable later...)

Location Styles

Hey Scotty, shouldn't we be splitting up pages like this one, rather than adding to them - like the location style guide says? Or are you just map blocking them now and splitting them into separate pages later? I just dunno about adding to pages that are obsolete under the new system. But you're more experienced with that stuff so I'm sure you've got a good reason.--Nallan (Talk) 06:49, 12 June 2008 (BST)

eventually pages like that will be split up and all locations should have their own individual page. dont worry about adding information to pages that will become obsolete, anybody who splits up pages should take all of the information off of the existing page when they make a new page. --Scotw 01:30, 13 June 2008 (BST)
