A better way to strike

Just letting you know that I've created a new template, {{Strike}}, that should allow us to strike comments and other things in a superior way to how we normally strike things. Once the wiki is updated and we can use templates inside of other templates, this will be even handier (e.g., we can use it on the suggestions page). Here's an example of it in action: while right now we strike things, it's even better to strike them in style. Also, you might want to get rid of the "The General is Watching" on this page. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 21:03, 29 July 2006 (BST)

Nice idea, mind if I copy it on other wikis? And, yeah, you're right, I do need to remove that thing from the top of the page.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 08:52, 30 July 2006 (BST)
Don't mind at all. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 09:01, 30 July 2006 (BST)

Important Message

There are important developments regarding the Coalition for Fair Tactics. You have been selected to act on an Assembly of Representatives for combatting large-scale unfair tactics. Please review this page in its entirety. –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 10:38, 1 August 2006 (BST)

The General - a non-PLEB member edited/vandalized our wiki site. I'll send you an e-mail. Amanda J 23:56, 28 August 2006 (EST)

Fixed the template, eh?

Yeah. Sure. Cyberbob  Talk  12:57, 3 August 2006 (BST)

I did. but I broke it again.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 12:58, 3 August 2006 (BST)
No you didn't. You never fixed it. Look at the diff comparison here. Cyberbob  Talk  13:02, 3 August 2006 (BST)
The suggestor broke the template, and I fixed that.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:03, 3 August 2006 (BST)
No. You. Didn't. Look here. See that little | you added after suggest_votes=? That broke it. Cyberbob  Talk  13:05, 3 August 2006 (BST)
Well, it worked.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:11, 3 August 2006 (BST)
Only after I removed it. Cyberbob  Talk  13:15, 3 August 2006 (BST)
Didn't look like it when I made the edit.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:15, 3 August 2006 (BST)
Well, maybe you should have tried actually, you know, typing something in there to check. I only noticed when I voted, and my vote wasn't appearing. Cyberbob  Talk  13:19, 3 August 2006 (BST)
Ok, point taken.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:20, 3 August 2006 (BST)

General fixed the missing suggest_votes= parameter, but placed the extra pipe character which means that votes between the two comments tag wouldn't display, as the pipe was before them. Cyberbob fixed that by removing the pipe. End of story. --Brizth M T 13:21, 3 August 2006 (BST)

The General is watching

I think you should change your advice to newbies page, it breaks this policy. Just letting you know before anything happens to you. - Jedaz 07:50, 29 August 2006 (BST)

Thanks, i'd forgotten to remove it on all pages.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 07:53, 29 August 2006 (BST)

Warning

Okay, refering to the recruitment page, Im a noob and dont know much about the wiki. I was trying to fix sumthing, I asked cyberbob240 for help, and he helped, end of story. Sorry for the confusion. Best of Wishes--User:amc

Hey, this is concerning my spam warning... I had a sleceted group of people for that. I was just trying to speed things up, not spam. Any way this can be sorted out? --A1C JerryASSPKASAT 10:15, 29 August 2006 (BST)

Ah, sorry, misunderstanding. Warning struck.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 10:18, 29 August 2006 (BST)

Thanks. --A1C JerryASSPKASAT 10:25, 29 August 2006 (BST)

I was sorry to see you call me biased.

I feel I've always been very even handed in my dealings on the wiki. I'm not sure why people occasionaly accuse me of bias as they never provide specific reasons why. What specificaly makes me biased in your opinion? I genuinely want to know so I can adress any unfairness on my part.Jjames 04:20, 31 August 2006 (BST)

Amazing, anyone?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 10:41, 31 August 2006 (BST)
I don't see anything amazing in Jjames' comment. Cyberbob  Talk  10:56, 31 August 2006 (BST)
You know jolly well what I meant. I was talking about the user "Amazing". Now, unless you have anything helpful to say, get off my talk page.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 11:04, 31 August 2006 (BST)
Wait. There's a user called "Amazing" on the wiki? Cyberbob  Talk  11:07, 31 August 2006 (BST)
Yes, and you bloody well know that there is.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 11:08, 31 August 2006 (BST)
Only because the bastard keeps circumventing his bans. –Xoid STFU! 11:10, 31 August 2006 (BST)

How many times am I going to have to say this before it finally sinks in? I. Don't. Know. Anyone. Who. Goes. By. The. Name. Amazing. Cyberbob  Talk  11:14, 31 August 2006 (BST)
I don't remember him... and I'm pretty sure I'd remember someone with a name like that. Cyberbob  Talk  11:11, 31 August 2006 (BST)

Just cut it out, you're not funny.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:52, 31 August 2006 (BST)
General, I respectfully asked you to back up ypur accusations against me and you accused me of being Amazing. That is both baseless and unfair, not to mention insulting. Amazing was never as polite as me in any of his incarnations, nor as calm. Ironically, Amazing serves as an example of my lack of bias. When I was dragged into arbitration by him for knowing scinfaxi, I was able to calmly reach an agreement with him to make peace. I only asked for you to support your claims against me. I don't think it's much to ask when you insult some one to be able to give specific reasons why. Perhaps you are the one biased against me.Jjames 17:33, 31 August 2006 (BST)
I was actually refering to your conduct towards Amazing, I do not believe that you are Amazing.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 18:48, 31 August 2006 (BST)
Well that's plain silly. How is voting against banning him, clearing Scinfaxi's comments on the Crossman grove pd to avoid an edit war with Amazing, making peace after he attacked and insulted me just for knowing amazing, negotiating a ceasefire with him, not insulting him while he was here or after he left biased. Was I too nice to Amazing? Or are you just accusing me of bias because I know scinfaxi and they hated each other? Because that sounds biased to me. I am tired of being insulted based on what seems to be nothing more than a personal dislike some people have of me. I have no problem with people questioning or criticizing my behavior, but I take offense when they won't even do me the courtesy of backing it up with specifics or facts.Jjames 04:18, 1 September 2006 (BST)
Yes, maybe it is personal dislike as well. But I do not believe that you are fit to judge on vandal banning cases. Swear away from ruling on any cases concerning Amazing, the CDF, Scifaxi, or associates, and I may change my vote.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:46, 2 September 2006 (BST)
I would neve rule on cases concerning Amazing (who is banned so I don't know how I could anyway), CDF, Scinfaxi, or associates. I believe I would be unbiased in even these cases, but it is just as important to avoid the appearance of impropriety as it is to avoid impropriety itself.Jjames 16:18, 3 September 2006 (BST)
Ok, as long as you give me your word that that is true.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 19:27, 6 September 2006 (BST)

Re: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/User_talk:Roysten_Crow

Why can you show a blood covered zombie face, but not show a blood covered zombie face?

The images I uploaded are all from classic zombie films. If people are offended by images of zombies, maybe they shouldn't be looking at a zombie apocalypse game? User:Roysten Crow/Sig 11:12, 18 September 2006 (BST)

They are playing a text based apolalypse game. Not a pornographic movie.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 08:21, 19 September 2006 (BST)
Could you please drop the case againt The Apocalypse Horde ? I have made several changes to their page in order to make they less offensive for the wiki. As you might notice by Roysten Crow messages, he just dont know enough of wiki editing to make something good out of all he wants to place there. Since i am helping them, you could drop the case and just tell what you think that still needs to be changed. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 03:30, 20 September 2006 (BST)

It's good to see...

That you're just as unabusive of power elsewhere as you are on this wiki. Cyberbob  Talk  11:00, 19 September 2006 (BST)

Can you seriously tell me that you were planning on doing anyting apart from cause disruption and gather evidence?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 13:51, 19 September 2006 (BST)
I wasn't there to cause disruption at all. Merely to gain evidence. Thanks for making the assumption, though. Like I said: not abusive of power at all. No sir. Cyberbob  Talk  14:18, 19 September 2006 (BST)
I haven't read much of the Scroll Wars wiki, only lil' excerpts here and there that I've been harassed into reading by various parties *cough*Cyberbob*cough*Bob Hammero*cough*, but this caught my eye:
From the Scroll Wars Wiki:
Nevermind, I see you just added the tags. -- ♠ Mo mod 15:29, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
The General banned him for being a nuisance more or less. I doubt he would have actually contributed anything positive anyway. - JedazΣT ΞD 17:28, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
For being a nuisance? Yet I get fucking flak over banning Amazing for the same, for a mere two hours no less, and a misconbitration case? Seriously. Then you have the gall to say you aren't abusing your power over there? Fuck you. With razor wire and broken glass. –Xoid STFU! 05:10, 20 September 2006 (BST)

Another nugget of gold, I see:
From your SW wiki talk page:
Could I be banned as well? I have no plans to contribute and would rather gar-run-tee that this name is never used by anyone else.

Thankyou, --Karlsbad 19:38, 19 September 2006 (PDT)

Yes you could be, its Mo's wiki, he can do whatever he wants with it. The Devil 21:08, 19 September 2006 (PDT)
If you really want to be banned, then yeah. But i'm not going to ban you of my own accord.--The General Mod 00:15, 20 September 2006 (PDT)
Where was all that moral fibre when you banned me of your own accord? Karlsbad was just as plainly not going to contribute anything, and he asked for it to boot. Nice to see your own brand of consistency at work here. Cyberbob  Talk  09:20, 20 September 2006 (BST)
Karlsbad hasn't been a dick, you were being a dick.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 10:31, 20 September 2006 (BST)
But I was finished being a dick. I wasn't (and aren't) going to continue annoying people. Cyberbob  Talk  10:35, 20 September 2006 (BST)

Where?

I quote:
I would strongly suggest that you immediately rescind the allegations you have made to the effect that I am:

1. Utilising, or providing an 'Open Proxy'

2. A so-called sockpuppet of another user, namely 'Maxwell Hammer'

You base allegation #1 on, so far as I can see, no evidence whatsoever and allegation #2 on very tenuous evidence indeed.

The fact that I edited another user's page to correct a spelling mistake proves only one thing, namely that I edited the page.

As I am readily identifiable to a considerable number of people in person by the ReeToric moniker, which also forms part of an email address previously and currently used on my resume amongst other documents created by myself, I caution you that you may under English Law, be liable for any injury thus caused to me, financial or otherwise.

As such allegations may damage my personal reputation in a number of ways, including but not limited exclusively to, the possibility that any application for employment and subsequent offer thereof may be subject to prejudice because of your remarks, you will immediately upon receipt of this message:

A: Reinstate my access to this wiki.

B: Publish a permanent apology to me in a conspicuous position on your user page which shall remain there for as long as this wiki exists, in any form.

Incidentally, one posting of mine on this wiki has already made it into google's cache.

http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:urAe2RBfm0QJ:wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/User_talk:Gilant+ReeToric&hl=en&gl=uk&ct=clnk&cd=10

I suggest you act quickly before your allegations about me find their way in there too.

You had better get this sorted out very quickly.

Thanks for providing me with an auditable document which also quite possibly libels one of the largest telecom companies in Europe.

I am not attempting to intimidate you, I am giving you warning that I will pursue this matter if you do not remove any and all remarks which infer dishonesty on my part.

I suggest you act on this immediately.

Not to mention what was said on Gage and Xoid's talk pages implying legal action if the remarks were not striken (which we all know is crap). Conndrakamod T CFT 10:35, 27 October 2006 (BST)

I've recieved a number of emails from him (I stupidly replied; bringing on more) also threatening legal action. I can supply them for evidence, if needed. Cyberbob  Talk  10:37, 27 October 2006 (BST)

I'd also suggest that in future if anyone threatens you with legal action that you take them seriously instead of behaving as you did. Had you complied with my initial request, a lot of other people's time need not have been wasted. The days of the internet being above the law are long over. Thanks are to those who acted with the maturity their stated ages imply --ReeToric 10:59, 27 October 2006 (BST)
Not Impersonation, atempted Intimidation.
