Thanks. Also, it won't space out at the bottom now. I really like it. :D Scroll Bars FTW!!--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 16:57, 12 September 2010 (BST)

fantastic, well done. I assume you just did it by leaving divs open at the bottom, kewl. -- LEMON #1 17:16, 12 September 2010 (BST)

Yup. Let's have a test of the scroll feature...--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 17:21, 12 September 2010 (BST)

Can I break it? Like the DiL wiki?

You can break nothing. And I didn't break DiL, it was a complete coincidence. :P --Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 19:03, 12 September 2010 (BST)

Now if only you can change the colors of the scroll bars... --Axe Hack 19:10, 12 September 2010 (BST)

well, right now I'm on safari, so they're blue and they sync up really nicely with the colours.--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 19:12, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Well what about those using Firefox and only see those plain white ones? --Axe Hack 19:16, 12 September 2010 (BST)
One more thing. Too many scroll bars on a single page tend to drive me crazy. Your userpage is now at the top of my disliked pages list. =P --Axe Hack 19:24, 12 September 2010 (BST)

UserpageYonnK.PNG --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:01, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Pic. Maybe you have extensions installed that change its behavior? Or maybe I do? Or maybe Axe is right (he probably is). But if it's broken in Chrome (which it is), then it should be broken in Safari too, since Chrome's rendering engine is WebKit, just like Safari's. Aichon 21:02, 12 September 2010 (BST)
I have no extensions and I've checked on both widescreen and normal screens. :P --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:04, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Axe is right, and widescreen doesn't matter if it's not wide enough, which apparently yours isn't. Once it gets around 12-1300px wide, your page breaks since you have a fluid width for it. Just fix the width of your main container for the page at 1076px and you'll be fine. Otherwise, if users have larger resolutions, it either goes off the top of the page or the divs start to overlap each other. Aichon 21:06, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Done.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:08, 12 September 2010 (BST)
As extra added info, the size of this screen appears to be 680px by 1250px.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:12, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Mine is 1900x1080, but when I shrink the window down to a size approximating yours, I see how it's all supposed to look, which is much different than it did look, since the scrollboxes had all gone in a row, rather than above, below, and to the side. Anyway, the 1076 trick worked (once I fixed it for you :P ). Aichon 21:23, 12 September 2010 (BST)
You know, if I were drunk, I may just VB you for that. ;P Nah, I'll do it the day before the next history purge.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:26, 12 September 2010 (BST)
I'd return the favor with a VB case for breaking the policy about content outside of the page area. After that, I'd just say I was correcting a vandal edit on your part. ;) Aichon 21:30, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Also, the scrollbox doesn't handle lots of indentations too well, does it? Aichon 21:30, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Then that'll teach people to be concise. :P--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:37, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Also, did you know that if someone uses a </div> it'll really screw with your page? Aichon 20:53, 12 September 2010 (BST)
I wanna test that, but I won't say when... >=D --Axe Hack 20:58, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Your signature seems to have broken his page too. I can scroll way beyond the bottom of the main container for the page, and there's hidden text in it with links to the stuff in your sig. Quite weird. Aichon 21:32, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Did it? Everything looks fine from Firefox. --Axe Hack 21:34, 12 September 2010 (BST)
I don't think his sig is what's causing the massive space at the bottom, but I can't find what is. I noticed it on my main page earlier, and axe's sig isn't on there.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:37, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Don't tempt it. I know you have open edits on your news section... ;) --Axe Hack 21:45, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Ah, but I'll pre-empt it second before with a message saying they are forbidden. You cannot risk it. Hahahahaha!--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 21:47, 12 September 2010 (BST)
It's his sig all right, just as its Misanthropy's on the main page. Apparently it's an issue with the way that the old ClickInternal code works (no idea if the current ClickInternal breaks with this). If you break the link to the archived news on the front page, you'll see that the extra space goes away, as do the hidden links to Misanthropy's stuff. My best guess for what's happening is that it's displaying the divs with the links in whatever place they would normally display if you didn't have the separate scrollbar, hence why they're growing the page downwards. It's likely the result of using position:absolute with them. Aichon 23:37, 12 September 2010 (BST)
Ah, i see. Is it going to do anything destructive? If not, then it doesn't really bother me.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 23:40, 12 September 2010 (BST)
I doubt it will cause issues, other than aesthetic and a little bit of usability stuff. Shouldn't be a problem if you're okay with it, I think. I might poke around the ClickInternal code some more to see if it can be made to work with pages like yours, but I doubt it can be, since it depends on that position:absolute to do what it does. Perhaps if your page had a closing div it would work, but that's understandably not an option. Aichon 23:44, 12 September 2010 (BST)

PSP

Your scroll bar is an inconvinence to those browsing via PSP and some smart phones (like the BlackBerry Pearl). Just sayin'. --Axe Hack 23:49, 12 September 2010 (BST)

Don't specify a template if you mean a general formatting - "Users whose sigs contain
coding..." would be a better disclaimer. Grr! Argh! *shaking fist* MisanthRopy Let mayhem reign! 18:40, 15 September 2010 (BST)
div coding doesn't break it, it's the absolute positioning used pretty much exclusively by that template.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 18:43, 15 September 2010 (BST)
