Description

The area is a dusty expanse of cracked concrete. Weeds sprout up through the cracks, and decaying trees, not indigenous to the area, waste away along the perimeter. At the eastern edge along the tree line stands a recently constructed Ferris wheel.

The Ferris Wheel

Approximately 90 feet high, this ride was constructed in 2009 by Mulligan Stew and is made from motors, rebar, scrap metal, wood and electrical wiring scavenged from a nearby warehouse, factory, and junkyard. The cars of the Ferris wheel are made from the bodies of a fleet of taxis that had been parked at Mudford Auto Repair. A power line runs underground into the sewer system, where Mulligan has built a platform for a generator. These sewer tunnels have proven to be mostly unknown to and inaccessible by zombies, thereby lessening the risk of the gennie being destroyed. A wooden sign indicates that the name of the ride is “The Giant Wheel,” having been named after a much larger Ferris wheel located at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Mulligan built the wheel for the occasion of his first date with Reba Hatfield. The Ferris wheel is now open for all citizens of Malton to enjoy.
