Slowly but steadily, survivors are retaking critical facilities and growing in number, due in large part to the exodus of MOB to Kempsterbank. While no estimate as to when the suburb is fully functional can be made, the symbolic turning point of the reclamation will be when the Mall stands barricaded and fully lit. --Wayson 06:25, 15 July 2009 (BST)

July 14th

The last few days have seen the suburb lie quiet, the only sound being occasional groans from the sated zombie hordes. With the fall of Clapton, organized resistance has ceased, and almost no human life remains within the suburb's boundaries. Survivor remnants are at this time attempting to rally their forces and reclaim isolated buildings, with mixed results. Disaster relief for all humans is urgently required in the form of needles, faks, and ammo resupply. --Wayson 04:31, 14 July 2009 (BST)

July 11th

A combined zombie force exceeding 50 standing individuals occupies the NE sector of the mall. They now have complete access to the entire mall and continue to battle the remaining defenders. The situation looks bleak at this time for the survivors. There will be additional updates soon. --FLZombie 00:26, 11 July 2009 (BST)

Pole Mall is ruined. Many survivors fled to Clapton Stadium, and remain there until they gather strength to evacuate the suburb. Zombies are already beginning to pound on their barricades. The defenders of this suburb are trying to organize a counterattack, but with the round the clock zombie strikes, it is difficult to find a safe haven.--FLZombie 13:48, 11 July 2009 (BST)

Clapton stadium is being destroyed by zombies, only 1 section still intact, 20 survivors left. NT's in the area are no longer operational, request help.--Simmitynl 18:00, 11 July 2009 (BST)

External Military: "... can see around a hundred and fifty on the streets of West Grayside ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... most of the buildings are ruined ..." Laitaine 12:00, 10 July 2009 (BST)

At exactly midnight, a small group of MOB zombies penetrated the barricades in the northeastern sector of Pole Mall. Sleeping survivors found themselves in the clutches of almost two dozen zombies. Survivors that were on watch did what they could to alert surrounding humans, but in the subsequent hours, a stream of zombies from the surrounding blocks shambled in and continued the gory task of disemboweling and tearing survivors apart, as well as dragging out the seriously wounded. At this time, the northeast sector of the mall seems lost. Wounded individuals that managed to survive the initial encounter have been evacuated and are getting medical care in the western sector of the mall, which still remains lit. --FLZombie 12:00, 10 July 2009 (BST)

July 9th

Three quarters of the suburb is in ruins at this time. The Stadium, the Mall, and the immediate surrounding structures stand out as a survivor redoubt against the ravenous zombie horde that increasingly eyes them with a fervorous gaze. An attack against these fortifications seems imminent, and survivors brace themselves for a furious battle. --FLZombie 01:27, 9 July 2009 (BST)

July 7th

As MOB slowly advances into West Grayside, they leave a swath of death and destruction. At this time, at least half of the suburb is in ruins. It seems obvious, given MOB's history, that they are probably planning to take the mall at some point. Do not sleep - or they will break in and find you. --FLZombie 00:35, 8 July 2009 (BST)

Local survivors combined to remove the last remaining zombies from Pole Mall tonight. Currently, a handful of of brave souls -- including members of the SOS Brigade, the South Malton Watch and yours truly -- are maintaining a dangerous and somewhat lonely vigil in the mall, hoping to stay alive long enough to get the Orange Juliuses flowing again... --WanYao 01:34, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Pole Mall has been taken by the Phoenix Security Services, but there are still 15 zeds outside the SE corner and a couple outside other corners, which are all VHB-EHB with moderate break-ins. So flock in, survivors, occupy and hold the corners evenly. Currently none of the corners are powered either.

Clapton Stadium is also back up but without lights or occupants, so is Purt Walk FS and Younghusband Arms, but Club Tremlett and its surrounding buildings are still ruined. --SomethingIsHappening 00:33, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

November 17th

Just completed a complete outdoor scout of West Grayside. Of 57 buildings 48 are ruined. Another 4 are open leaving only 5 with any barricades. 145 Zombies were outside, though that includes 61 at revive points. Assuming at least one in each ruined building, that means around 150 hostile zombies total. --ZaqWer 20:47, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

It seems that parts of Clapton Stadium are being reclaimed, but Pole Mall and the vast majority of the suburb remains in ruins. --Darth Elsij 23:05, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

November 16th

The zombie group De-vivification Experts of Malton claim responsibility for taking over Pole Mall and Clapton Stadium. This group has apparently spread south and most of the western half West Grayside is now in ruins. As the eastern half also remains largely in ruins, this neighborhood now warrants the status of Very Dangerous. --ZaqWer 16:07, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

November 13th

Pole Mall appears to have been attacked by a separate large faction of zombies numbering over 50. At this time, two sectors of Pole Mall are Open and it will likely fall. The eastern half of West Grayside appears to still have the same hostile force, so this represents a doubling of hostile zombies in the last 24 hours. --ZaqWer 15:37, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Egbert is lost again, but myself and 2 others made it out and hope to work on a plan for retaking it and that sector of West Grayside soon. Rylan Masters 22:25, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

November 12th

Although there are many ruined buildings, more than half of buildings in this suburb are barricaded. Revive queues are long, mostly 20 - 30. Survivors might consider moving to another neighborhood for faster service. Total zombie count may appear high due to the revive queues, but actual hostile zombies appears to be only around 50. As of now, Copeland NT is up and running and EHB with minimal threat. The majority of zombies are in the SE sector. Reducing threat level from VeryDanger to Danger to more accurately reflect this situation. --ZaqWer 16:02, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I was surprised to see that we got Copeland powered. Toplef and Dampney are repaired and caded to VHB, but has a strong lack of survivor presence. We might need to get some meatshields. Overall, I can say things are looking good for survivors, they haven't even touched Pole Mall yet. Apocalyptic doom 22:25, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

September 13th

Pole Mall has just been retaken by zombies from MOB and friendly ferals. The area is crawling with zombies at this time. It is unsafe for the casual interloper as well, as they are frequently checking for survivor activity. MOB has apparently decided to stay a while in West Grayside, given the abundance of survivors in the area and the sheer tenacity that they have displayed in recapturing key structures - despite which long revival queues are beginning to be seen in some of their RPs. The suburb is appropriately classified as very dangerous. For all combat-hardened zombie hunters as well as hungry zombie zealots alike, this suburb offers much activity. Others should steer clear of the area, as fierce fighting is still raging everywhere. Rumor has it that zombies are baiting survivors into recapturing structures that they later take and ruin with all souls inside converted to Barhah. What was looking initially like a raid through this town has turned into a gore fest that may take a while in petering out.--FLZombie 22:17, 13 September 2008 (BST)

September 11th

The unpredictable nature of ravenous zombies is the only certain thing in West Grayside. As has been reported several times before, the situation continues to be quite fluid on the ground. Additional structures in the southeast of the suburb have been ruined, including Creedy Way Police Dept, the Bailie Arms, Bythesea Auto Repair, and Gaywood Auto Repair were attacked. No survivors are left inside.--FLZombie 04:21, 12 September 2008 (BST)

External Military report (25.96 MHz): "... can see over a hundred on the streets of West Grayside ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... several buildings with power ... heavy structural damage ... some survivor activity in Pole Mall ... the Copeland Building is looking wrecked ..." (22 hours and 3 minutes ago) --WanYao 12:10, 11 September 2008 (BST)

According to the most recent status updates for Pole Mall, the zombies have the upper hand again. With the situation on the ground often changing in a matter or hours, all parties are advised to heed only first-hand evidence, or the recent scouting reports of allies and other trusted sources, before making strategic and tactical decisions. --WanYao 12:10, 11 September 2008 (BST)

September 9th

NEWS FLASH: Cheers could be heard erupting from the three quadrants of Pole Mall just moments ago, as the last of the MOB zombies inside succumbed to a handful of brave zombie hunters. At this time, they are busy repairing the damage and cleaning up the mess left behind. The mall will hopefully be in business again very soon. The moment to return to reclaim West Grayside might have arrived.--FLZombie 02:58, 10 September 2008 (BST)

September 8th

Survivors have feverishly tried to regain control of Pole Mall, but quick reaction forces from the Militant Order of Barhah repeatedly pounce on them every time the buildings are repaired. Elsewhere in West Grayside, pressure continues on NT, Police and Fire Dept operations, with survivor numbers steadily dwindling as the battle for control of this suburb steadily rages. The situation is very fluid in this suburb at this time, but things may take a turn for the worse very soon if survivor action is not successful at dislodging MOB from key areas. At this time, survivors that require a stable and active NT might be hard pressed to get quick help in this suburb due to the constant harassment by zombies and the feral cloud surrounding MOB.--FLZombie 00:19, 10 September 2008 (BST)

September 7th

As was previously noted, MOB zombies have finally commenced their assault on the mall. All of the groans heard in the this part of West Grayside are coming from Pole Mall. The Northwest and Northeastern quadrants of the mall has been ruined already, despite coordinated attacks from the valiant defending survivors. It seems at this time that the battle is lost for the remaining men and women in this mall. --FLZombie 04:30, 7 September 2008 (BST)

UPDATE: Pole mall has fallen to almost 70 zombies. Even though several PKers were seen in the mall, it seems that they too were devoured by MOB. The zombies seem to be preparing for additional strikes in the vicinity.--FLZombie 18:14, 7 September 2008 (BST)

September 5th

Many brave sleeping souls were pounded on and bitten when the MOB broke into Egbert Hospital today. As I type my report they are being eaten and there is nothing I can do about it because of exhaustion. All I know for sure is that there are 7 zeds inside. I escaped passing over many dead bodies littering the floors with visceral muck. Also, I managed to identify Grogh inside at the last second before I was bitten and had to retreat several blocks away. The words that echo in my head were probably the last words spoken to the souls in Egbert "Wake up D*@n*t". As for the suburb, it is surrounded with many zeds and has various ruined buildings. Survivors tread lightly and be warned, it's dangerous outside ---Rylan Masters 02:31, 5 September 2008 (BST)

September 3rd

Reports are coming in of additional sightings of zombies from the Militant Order of Barhah. It has now been confirmed that they have entered the suburb from East Grayside, through the eastern border - suburb that was ruined in short order. Scouting parties have nibbled at Dampney Grove Police Department, Hodgkinson Row Fire Station, Mowlam Bank, Wiltshire Towers, Dimmock Auto Repair, and other places - but mostly limited to the eastern border. Survivors are strongly cautioned to avoid entering the area, since MOB apparently has decided to devour West Grayside.-- FLZ (MOB)

A lot of buildings have been barricaded to beyond what they should be for this siege people are talking about. A clear over reaction to the four zombies that found their way into the area, more than likely just going to the revive point. Currently the area is in high alert and is resulting in the deaths of several lower level players. Resulting in MORE zombies and higher alerts. If anyone in charge of those barricades reads this you need to lower them. When I went through Ridleybank there was no concentration of zombies coming Greyside's way. LOWER the barricades, you are doing more harm then good. NOTE: The info on Grayside's current situation was provided by UD player Oldramen. An apparent attempt by survivors to establish a small foothold in West Grayside -- including the barricading of some resource buildings and several non-descript safehouses -- has been thwarted. Which revive point? There are at least two well known and commonly used RPs -- the cemetery SW-ish of Pole, and Bunstone Alley. The hightest level of specificity possible is desirable in news reporting! ;) --WanYao 17:00, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Most of the zombies appear to have left, at least in the central area of town. Most resource buildings are secured and powered, and the Bunstone Alley and a cemetery 52,83 revive points are clear. November 26th

With Pole Mall, as well as the Copeland and Topleaf NTs and surrounding buildings secured and powered, things are looking better for the local survivor population. The south-central region is only tenously held by survivors, and there are still many zombies in the suburb -- but progress is steady. Danger level downgraded to Dangerous. --WanYao 21:47, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

The fight for West Grayside continues. The zombies haven't all left, but survivors are hitting back. 2/3 of Pole Mall is currently zombie-free, with only 5 zombies currently in the SE corner, although most surrounding buildings are not yet secure. --WanYao 07:50, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Update: Pole Mall has been completely secured, repaired, barricaded and repowered. --Crush 18:49, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

As the suburb falls further into despair people have emerged to revive and revives are soon gaining speed with the cluttered amount of zombies leaving and pole has shown advances in the zombie-free project overall west grayside is doing very well except for the fact of ruined buildings.--Austin 17:54, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

It is looks like the dooms day night, the area is riuned, but in the remaning of the buildings, we are still fighting until our hours come... Everybody, who still here, and still resisting the horde, dont give up. There are others too, who are up to fight, others, who dont going to give up ;) So, lets show them, how a real human fight, and yes, if must, then let show them, how a real human die... A relative peace has lasted a while here, outside travel and resting is even survivable but not recommended. As well as having a secure mall, West Grayside now has many buildings with running power, transmitters, and extensive art collections from a variety of museums from across south Malton. west grayside is safe again! there are almost no zombies in the whole suburb!--Cort firefighter 06:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

November 1st

What a great way to start off to November. A large number of people were murdered today inside Pole Mall, including myself by a couple of lowlifes. West Grayside is under a serious threat by PKers and with the possibility of The Second Big Bash approaching. The odds of suburb survival are looking low. --Jorne 21:42, 1 November 2007 EST

The mass murders in Pole Mall appear to have been perpetrated by a large and highly-organised group of killers, many identifying themselves with popular Latin American tradition of Día de los Muertos. It is also notable that Halloween, as it is called in North America, is in fact based on the ancient festival of Samhain, in which livestock were ritually slaughtered to cull the weak from the herd. --WanYao 05:48, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

All survivor groups are invited, yes even PKers, and we ask that you do not engage in any pking while the party is going on from October 30 - November 1. If you engage in such activity, you will be asked to leave the stadium and take your business other places. This is meant to be fun for all. Bounty Hunters be warned also. There will be live performances once each day by the NecroM Band, covering: the Rolling Stones, DevilDriver, and System of a Down. Medical services will be on hand in case a drunken fight gets out of hand. Zombies that wish to engage in the bash will be asked to have a revive first, then you will be allowed inside. If you zombahs are persistent and try to take down our 'cades, we will be forced to give you a brain bullet for your troubles. You can reach the staff on our talk page. -- Necrotech Mobile

Pole Mall is powered and 'caded. Even Clapton is 3/4 powered -- broadcasting footy games, mayhap? Both NTs are also safe and powered. Danger level updated to Safe. --WanYao 15:04, 23 October 2007 (BST)

October 22nd

The Copeland and Topleaf NT buildings, as well as the other nearby strucures, are 'caded, powered and survivor-occupied. There are no standing zombies in the immediate area, and a NecroNet scan shows only a handful in the entire suburb. However, there are twenty bodies in front of the Topleaf and I'm sure not all are dead survivors... Nonetheless, West Grayside is looking pretty safe again... The main danger right now seems to be from the self-titled "RadioSurvivor Street Team". Not affiliated with Radio Survivor, the "street team" is, in fact, murdering civilians in Pole Mall in an attempt to force out information on Uncle Zeddie's true identity and whereabouts. --WanYao 14:41, 22 October 2007 (BST)

We aren't doomed or being doomed, but there are 38 zeds at the revive point. Does this mean it's a horde or just a bunch of survivors wanting to be revivificated? Mark Colbert

September 18th

It looks like we are being doomed, more and more zed attacking the safehouses where the survivors hiding, and now, with falling of the Police station and the both NT building we running out from ammo, and revive. The north area of the suburb is under siege, but the south still safe... but who knows how long. There is a chance uif we will fall if someone not come and start running the revive points, because more then 50 zed need reviving in the suburb, but watch out, my scan show there is many Rotten between them, so be careful. I wish good luck for everyone who still keep the forth up and running. If the zeds wanna play hard, we will play hard, and kick they **** out from here :) --HunButcher 14:48, 18 September 2007 (BST)

The West Grayside Watch is running revives in Bunstone Alley. They're not going fast, but they're going. Also, I've been in the heaviest hit central part of the suburb for almost a week straight... And frankly there aren't that high zombie numbers, not really -- enough to make that area dangerous, and to consistently break the NTs every time we re-take them? Yes... However, the south and south-west of West Grayside are just fine. And Pole Mall is up and powered.
It's not "doom and gloom" we're not all gonna die... How's about: do not sleep in TRPs; do not allow zombies to Scent Trail you -- especially to a safehouse full of comrades; and, most importantly, try to get people to work with you in teams. Small groups are scattered throughout the area, and 35 zeds are at the Bunstone Alley revive point. Nonethess, members of the community and the West Grayside Watch took back the Topleaf NT and locals are still holding Dempney at this time...

Meanwhile, the south of the suburb is almost completely zed-free, as the horde seems to be concentrating on Pole Mall and the area near the suburb's two NT buildings. It seems pole mall will fall, with 106 zombies in the now ruined NW corner. However, the mall lasted 12 days against LUE which is a record to my knowledge.--Mayor FittingTalk RR 07:59, 9 September 2007 (BST)
While that would be something if true, it is in fact a lie. The first proper LUE attack, that is to say one involving more than 20 or so zombies, occurred yesterday. The mall is on the verge of collapse today, the only real achievement by Pole was that the sheer weight of numbers prevented a ransack with the first attack. Shaggy123 12:32, 9 September 2007 (BST)
Here are the facts... last week mobs of over 30 zombies entered Pole Mall on several occasions over several nights -- and were expelled every time. Numerous LUE members were involved in these attacks, we have the proof. That may not have been the entire horde, but rather a vanguard force -- as this reporter argued in private at the time -- but it almost certainly appears that LUE members spearheaded those attacks... And numerous LUE members have been present in the area of W Grayside and Kempsterbank for some time, in spite of what LUE leadership may try to say otherwise. --WanYao 12:43, 9 September 2007 (BST)
No one is disputing the fact that a small number of LUEsers were attacking the mall last week. However as the events of the last two days have ably demonstrated, to characterize that as anything significant does the actual LUE siege a great injustice.--Shaggy123 13:05, 9 September 2007 (BST)
I am in complete agreement regarding the final siege, Shaggy. Only yesterday did LUE finally hit Pole with full force -- the attack we've been anticipating with both excitement and dread... However, the early attacks were anything but "insignificant," and there were more than a "small number" or LUEsers present. The attacks typically consisting of over 70 standing zombies, and occurred more than once a day -- so please don't do our defence at that time an injustice. Nonethless, I salute your success in the "siege proper" last night, it was almost flawless in its efficiency and brutality... BARHAH! to you. :) --WanYao 13:21, 9 September 2007 (BST)
The first few days of attacks after being repelled from Marven consisted only of about 30 zombies max, closer to 19 on attack, once per day. There were never 70 active zombies attacking Pole at that time. Dracoster 04:45, 10 September 2007 (BST)

Alright, this is ridiculous.. Calling people "liars"... Not graciously accepting victory, nor the defeated opponents congratulations... How classy... Well, anyway...

I went outside Pole (only once, didn't think to take a picture, dang) to check numbers during one of the first breaches and I saw over 70 standing zombies, though they may not have all been active. Sooo, am I going to call me a LIAR again? We'll see...

Now, just to prove that there were more than "19 or 20 zombies," here are a few screenshots, taken on various days during the initial "micro-seige". It's assumed that in a siege, not every zombie involved in attacking the barricades is able to make inside the mall -- if I'm wrong, I will stand corrected.

Obviously, many ferals were involved in the attacks... but the raw numbers are there... for all to see, and judge for themselves. Obviously, it wasn't a huge attack. No one said it was. But for the very small number of defenders in the NW tile early on, repelling the attack was an accomplishment.

Anyway, to conclude.. it's funny... I acknowledged all along that the end of August attack was minor and not the full horde. I also tried to graciously compliment LUE on their succesful final assault... Yet... well... 'nuff said... I will not clutter the wiki with this any more. --WanYao 07:11, 10 September 2007 (BST)

Currently, the streets near and outside the Younghusband are clear of zed activity. Meanwhile, survivors are seen here cheeerfully enjoying a pint or several inside the Younghusband Arms... and all appears normal inside Pole Mall as well. A bunch of guys in Dampney started asking about these level 1 survivors just standing up. I have the impression that these guys are multi accounts set up by zeds that seiged us previously. They're using a simple zombie strategy. Start out as humans, hurt each other, charge ap, enter a VSB building, get to an important one, kill each other, stand up, and break stuff as zeds. It makes sense right now sense I'm seeing a lot of level 1 survivors that are hurt, strangely at 46 hp. We gotta stay on the lookout. - Apocalyptic Doom, West Grayside Watch

Go read wiki news. There have been approx 12000+ new players and every suburb is seeing this same thing, and anyway if zombies were going to parachut level 1 survivors would be the worst thing they could use to do it. --karek 17:13, 19 June 2007 (BST)

I just want to point out to unaffiliated users like me who work on barricades and were extremely puzzled by the sudden major change in the Barricade Plan and the large number of unbarricaded buildings, that if you scroll down to the very bottom of the chart, beyond the color legend, you will see that "unbarricaded" means that the building can be barricaded to whatever level the occupants desire. It does not mean that the buildings must be unbarricaded, as I first thought when I looked at the plan---since I knew the color code I did not scroll down to the very bottom and thus my confusion.--Grinnella 15:38, 14 June 2007 (BST)

- Re: If we are getting rid of a strict enforcement, the barricade policy should be updated by residents of specific buildings to reflect the levels that they themselves will keep the barricades of their homes at. If this casual barricade policy is followed, (i.e. residents maintain barricades of their home-buildings and post details here) then visitors and citizens of West Grayside will be less likely to get trapped outside. I can state with 99% accuracy that Gass Plaza will remain fully barricaded, and that Demons will maintain St. Timothy's as a clinic and entry point (VSB +2), and its adjacent graveyard as a revive point, as such I have updated the barricade policy to reflect our dedication to the safety of West Grayside's citizens. Please be safe! ~'~,Emily Briar`~,, 18:39, 15 June 2007 (BST)
- Re: I second the statement that Gass Plaza will remain fully barricaded, but that St. Timothy's will remain as an entrance into the extremely barricaded buildings for the long forseeable future. --Kiablade 19:31, 17 June 2007 (BST)
- Re:I just want to clarify that I wasn't thinking of the plan as "casual" or "getting rid of strict enforcement". I am operating with the idea that the buildings marked on the map as EHB and VSB will have barricades that are strictly enforced. I (and others I'm sure) will be checking fewer buildings and will be able to use my time more efficiently. It seemed impossible to me to maintain the proper levels in every building. This way I can just quickly check the EHB and VSB ones on the map and I have a much better chance of keeping them that way. If they can be kept that way, newcomers will be able to look at the map and really be able to find a safe haven. It would indeed be nice if groups intend to maintain a certain level in certain buildings for them to notify people and it helps spread the responsibility for barricading around. I think I really like the new plan. It seems more realistic.--Grinnella 05:12, 21 June 2007 (BST)

June 12th

Please note that the Gass Plaza Railway station will be EHB at all times; do not attempt entry at Gass Plaza, you will be zombie food. Suggested alternate entry points are at St. Timothy's to the northeast and Sprake Cinema to the south. --Emily Briar 02:19, 12 June 2007 (BST)

Supporters rampaged through the stadium last night, with ten confirmed deaths and a host of rioting. The Commission declared the event a total success, with special commendations going to What's Happened (4Kills), Zumm Zero (3Kills) and newcomer PKworld (1Kill confirmed). Good supporting play from Shiv Jones and a spectacular save off the line by defensive specialist Gondo Gondo rounded off the night's activities. The DEM labeled Clapton's fans the "worst in the world", a claim the delegates strongly refute.

-The Suburb is safe from zombies and the WGW is currentley discussing a mission to help out the suburb of Scarletwood from a recent zombie attack. We would leave some dedicated revivers behind to maintain the revive point at Bunstone Alley at 56,83.--Mayor Fitting 18:45, 7 June 2007 (BST)

Opening ceremony underway, flares are up and reports are coming in of major crowd trouble. The Commission has killed eight suspected Estonian supporters in the stadium, before co-Chairman Zumm Zero got hit by a scooter thrown off the arena's top tier. PKworld beheaded a fellow Commission member in the ensuing pandemonium, which will most certainly make the late night highlight reel.

Members of the Malton Euro 2008 Commission have arrived at Clapton Stadium to inspect the new venue. Early reports suggest that key delegates Zumm Zero and What's Happened are pleased with the new stadium and are looking forward to kick-off.

The Malton Euro 2008 Commission is currently in The Younghusband Arms celebrating a 3-0 victory. Euro qualification is a step closer.

Now, if you mean BEFORE that, then yes, I most likely killed you while you were 'Happily standing in Pole Mall'. I propose that we institute a policy of allowing no more than 15 standing zeds allowed in the Cemetery located at (52,83). I'm all for the Sacred Ground Policy but the cemetery is so close to Pole Mall that it allows the zombies to safely amass then come, bash down the 'cades, chew us up, then retreat to an area of absolute safety all within a span of 50AP. They can wait in groups of 15 for a revive and once those 15 are revived then 15 more can stand up and get their turn. -- DudicusMaximus

March 19th

Many zombies near Pole Mall at the cemetery, some of them rotters. However, keep the barricades at YoungHusband Arms at VS, it needs to be open to allow an entry point into the mall. -- Clora 9:58 CST, 19 March 2007

Be vigilant around the Beare Library. There are 15 to 20 ghouls currently situated in and around that particular area. -- Staubach 18:10 GMT, 17 March 2007

The Zombies have become a major problem and they are charging the PD and Hospitals, I was killed and am now awaiting a revival in another city. There are way to many zeds for the weak resistance that we tried to put up. West Grayside will soon be lost, they are at Dampney PD, help if you can! -- (Unknown Reporter)

My friends and I (a total of five of us) were at the Sprake Cinema- 50, 85 and it got broken into yesterday, and there were about 15 zombies 1 block south of it and several other zombies spread out in the near area. I ledt in search of a new safe house and found the St Timothy's Church- 51, 83. Which I was told has about 20 zombies 1 block east of it. Two of the original five are now at the Younghusband Arms-53, 82. Thers quite alot of people here I think we're goning to hold up here and wait for the others. My group only has level 1's in it, but we're willing to help. If you have any ideas, just let us know. -- (Unknown Reporter)

Please stop overbarricading too much safehouses like the Barter Road Fire Station. It is hard enough to find a safe place as it is. -- (Unknown Reporter)

A new zombie group, Army of the Dead, has moved into the suburb from Kinch Heights. -- (Unknown Reporter)

March 12th

Ok, if anyone needs a revive DON'T come to West Grayside. Idiocy is rampant and you're more likely to be killed 12+ times in a row than be revived. All Wiki users should try to "educate" these noobs either by talking to them or killing them. --Hhal 12:11, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Ironically, most of the revives seem to instead be going towards combat-reviving / random-reviving zombies. This suburb's occupants seem to have some really messed-up priorities--perhaps a nice "spring-cleaning" would help! ;) --Huey P Long 23:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Grayside Demons revive point is being actively used as...a revive point. Currently the Demons are trying to revive all zombies that are there, to stop the pk-ing on Sacred Ground. --Kiablade 01:44, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

March 10th

There are a lot of people in WG that ignore the revive point messages. I warn them when I can, But several of them are troublemakers and their alts that have terrorized the area for some time, including otto the prophet, and cedric (eastborn?), also, there's a large pk'er problem in the mall area, and some of those lovely individuals hunt the revive points too. -M4x

March 6th

Revive points are extremely... well to put it concisely, shit. I've stood in queue at Bunstone Alley and watched random survivors gun down 3 other zeds who were waiting for revived, and was gunned down twice myself. Though the suburb is marked as green, green should mean survivors needing a revive get one, and don't have to spend time being repeatedly farmed by people who don't know any better. Two of the following are among those in question gunning down survivors awaiting revives: http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=755967 http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=715451 -Valore 09:32, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Recently, the Knights of the Temple of the Shrike have been saying that they are going to take over pole mall, and that they will kill anyone who does not leave. This is confirmed by their page in the wiki (hidden in the first paragraph). While this threat may not cause much damage to the mall, it is still advised that all survivors with free running vacate the mall to surrounding, non-resource buildings, and that all survivors without free running explain how they got into the mall to begin with. More information will be posted as it is gathered. --Saluton 15:05, 22 February 2007 (UTC) Our web page was vandalized and has since been restored these rantings are by a flse Knight. -- Rivemanstx the Bear

Wow, long time no update! Anyway things are moving along nicely in [West Grayside] and it is still a very safe place to be. However there has been a large increase in zombie activity in [East Grayside]. We have picked up a few more members as well. Working with the [Grayside Demons] at their revive point and running our own revives are fast to come. --Mayor Fitting 20:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

The problem with Pkers is great as a player in the Young Husband Arms was murdered today. To escape I have henceforce moved to the Topleaf building anyway to keep in safety. Pkers are a hazard to Malton and I will watch for them at the Arms when I am better equipped. --Apocalyptic Doom 3:31, 5 February 2007

The Topleaf NT building is at VSB, and no standing, scanned zombies are within range of it. The other NT building, Copeland, is at EHB, and shows one standing, scanned zombie within range, at a hospital in East Grayside. There have been no recent attacks on Pole Mall, other than PKers and GKers (which are becoming far, far too common), and hence it appears that the rumors of a zombie attack are, at best, false, and, at worst, are being propagated by zombies in an attempt to demoralize survivors. --Saluton 15:03, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

February 4th

The zombie outbreak has been devastating. Buildings have been infiltrated over and over again, and even worse, the [NT] Topleaf Building was infiltrated. IT has been fixed for the moment but nothing prevents the attack from comingup again. A Necrotech building is useless overrun by zombies. I will leave my post at the Young Husband Arms and insure that the [NT] buildings are safe. - Apocalyptic Doom, 4:15, 4 February 2007

December

December 25th

You heard the thrum of a helicopter flying over the building i wonder what this means ?

December 9th

SE West Grayside and surrounding area is bereft of zombie activity; many survivors (mostly new) are resting at street level. Barricading in the area is still fairly high considering the level of activity, and steps are being taken to pull barricades down from unnecessary levels.

December 1st

The south corner of Pole Mall was infiltrated by several religious fanatics of The Maltonian Inquisition several survivors were killed.

November

November 14th

For any realtors out there, this land is severly undervalued at the moment. The Mall in the Northwest corner is securely in Survivor hands with no zombies in its immediate area. Any organized group coming in now could probably easily take back the rest of the suburb.

November 11th

With many zombie having been drawn away by larger battles in the north, Pole Mall is back securely in Survivor hands. The rest of the suburb is till in bad shape but not as bad as before

October

There are 33 zombies in and around Pole Mall last time I checked and about 12 in the neighborhood surrounding it, things are gonna get worse quick. Quagmister

The mall is currently clear and barricaded. --Bake Hayes 02:31, 23 October 2006 (BST)

October 19th

The mall is still under attack. A handful of zombies manage to break in every now and then. Only a corner of the mall is being bravely defended by a few surivors. Barricades currently at HB. Does anyone know how many zeds are outside the mall? Cletus88

October 17th

The mall is holding but we need survivors to defend the mall and maintain barricades. Barricades currently at HB or EHB. Try not to use up all your APs at once, check in every so often. Cletus88

October 16th

Well, we are still fighting to get the zombies out of the mall, any help would be much appreciated from any outsiders that may read this page, because we obviosly can't keep them out on are own. I mean I don't see why not, there aren't that many freaking zombies freaking attacking the GOD DAMN mall!!! Yet 20 to 30 FREAKING zombies keep over running us, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!! So, if anybody reads this page from another suburb I would be most greatfull for any help you could send are way. darkward

October 12th

The horde is now 22 zeds (NW corner of Pole Mall) with 20-25 dead bodies, with 2 strays outside of the NE corner. Barricades back up to HB, but who knows for how long. Cletus88
27 Zombies are attacking the mall. The time is 17:06 (+12GMT). The zeds seem to be breaking through and dragging out weaker survivors. Considering making a run to a Necrotech lab in another suburb as otherwise we're just waiting on the inevitable. scracha

October 9th

There are again Zombies ouside the mall, the time right now is 6:43am (PST), 10 hours ago the zombies broke into the upper left side of the mall. from what I was told upon waking up was that 1 Zed had been killed and one surviver had been dragged out onto the streets. The barricades are back up to extremly heavily barricaded, but there are at least 30 Zombies out side. I would recommend that inexperienced survivors in the mall should relocate to a safer area, before you leave though it would be of great help if you could barricade if needed or kill zombies on your way out. Hopfully other survivers will keep this page updated so all survivers can check the statis of the mall with out putting them selves in harms way. Also if you are a player who is going to stick around, the purt walk fire station above the mall is down to strongly barricade so you can use that as an entry point. darkward

Update: 20 Zombies are attacking the mall as I am writing this. The time is 8:35 (PST), upper left part of the mall is down to lightly barricaded. I told anybody I could in the mall. I am now out of energy, if anybody can come help please do, it would be much appreciated. darkward

October 7th

As of 6:15am the upper left side of the mall has been raised to very heavily barricaded but the right side, both top and bottem are still infested with zombies. clapton stadium is clear and some corners of it are up to strongly barricaded. darkward 6:20am, 7 October 2006 (PST)

Zombies are in the mall again I as one of the victims want to be revived.--Zombie Spray 11:48, 5 October 2006 (BST)

Zombies have infested every part of clapton stadium as well. darkward 10:27pm, 5 October 2006 (PST)

While the mall is empty of survivors, there are no zombies inside, and many corners are baricaded. Revive points are also functioning fairly well. YbborT 03:58, 7 October 2006 (BST)

October 4th

Evolved humans have reclaimed all corners of the Pole Mall. Harmans are encouraged to seek shelter elsewhere, to avoid prosecution for squatting, loitering, and theft of private property as stated in the Appelflappen Code Of Conduct. Further violations will be prosecuted with extreme prejudice and the eating of cats.

October 3rd

Zombies have breached the south side of the mall when I panicked a screamed at the north side "ZOMBIES THERE IN!!!" I managed to kill 3 or 4 zombies before talking refuge in the stadium and fell asleep.--Zombie Spray 02:30, 3 October 2006 (BST)

Update: The zombies are gone. All clear.

The NT Building, Copeland [56, 82], is currently wide open with a horde of 25 zombies, and many of the surrounding buildings have been breached, by a total of around 50 zombies.

A bloodbath at Pole Mall!! The Shacknews Horde assaulted the mall late in the evening and caused an astonishing amount of damage! Further updates as events unfold!

Update: The Northwest quadrant of Pole Mall has been broken into, and ransacked by a horde of zombies numbering over 50. At this time the Northeast and Southeast quadrants of the mall remain in survivor hands. Anyone in the mall or near the premises are advised to organize a counterassualt or evacuate the area. Due to zombie attacks in the suburb being localized thus far to Pole Mall, both NecroTech facilities, and the occasional police station, the color code for the suburb will remain at Dangerous.
Update: The Northwest quadrant of Pole Mall has been restored to zombie control. We've restored control to the Northwest portion of the Pole Mall and the rest will return to our control shortly. If you are harman, I would recommend relocating to a less precarious postion. Anyone in the mall or near the premises are advised to retreat to a safe suburb or barricaded location. Our reclamations are limited to the Malls, Necrotech locations, and law enforcement and fire department locations, I would recommend relocating to another safe suburb.

October 2nd

The Horde that has been plaguing the area materialized at dusk again, this time outside of Pole Mall. The mall was under no serious threat from the Horde, as attested by the pile of bodies laying outside, but many of the bodies outside look quite a bit fresher than the majority. As of this report, there even appear to be remains left inside the mall. --DanteSck

October 1st

The horde has ransacked and invaded the buildings to the east of the mall (Copeland building, Holly Crescent PD). It's only a matter of time. Cletus88 *UPDATE* The danger level of the neighborhood has been changed to reflect the increased presence of Zeds in the area.

There is a horde 50 zombies outside 'the Yonghusband Arms' watch your barricades!---Zombie Spray 07:55, 30 September 2006 (BST)

September 24th

My zombie wandered through here earlier today, and in the interests of fairness, I feel that I should remind all humans not to sleep in totally un-barricaded buildings. Closing the doors is only going to stop zombies without memories of life, and only until one WITH MoL wanders by. As a side note, thanks for the lunch, Harmanz. --Kaminobob 07:42, 25 September 2006 (BST)

September 19th

Looks like the zombie activity is heading towards Pole Mall. Zeds broke into Holly Crescent PD but barricades are up to VS, looks like any survivors have left the building. Cletus88

September 15th

All looks clear, most zombie activity seems to be taking place about 8 blocks east and 2 north of Pole Mall. Cletus88

September 7th

Looks like there was a break in at Holly Crescent PD. Put the barricades back up to VS+2 and healed a few people. Also noticed someone has barricaded Purt Walk FD (entry point to Pole Mall) up EHB, only managed to take it down to HB. The stadium is empty and 'cades are at EHB or HB. Is anyone reading this or am I wasting my time? Cletus88

September 5th

Pole Mall and the stadium are HB or EHB. I believe there was a minor break in at Younghusband but was taken care of by someone (sorry forgot to take note) and barricaded back up to VS+2. Barricades look to be in good condition in the surrounding area. I don't think I've ventured outside in awhile, will try to do that tomorrow. Cletus88

August

August 30th

A Zed managed to break in at Club Tremlett, barricaded back up to VS, took 20 hp off of him before I had to retreat. Healed some revivers over at the Copeland building. The stadium looked pretty empty but everything was still barricaded up to EHB or HB. Cletus88

August 29th

Though Pole Mall is currently safe, there are still buildings without barricades at southern West Grayside. We are working now on them to downgrade the danger level. --Doc Groucho 10:50, 29 August 2006 (BST)
I checked the buildings around Pole Mall, entry points VS+2, everything else is still HB or EHB. Put the 'cades back up to HB for the east side of the stadium. All seems to be well. Cletus88

August 26th

Wow, long time between posts for me. I've finally made my way back to West Grayside and the safety of Pole Mall. Thanks to those who revived me at Mackie Street (that revivication site works great).

I noticed a few stray zombies around the Copeland building (56,82) and surrounding area. No groupings larger than 2. Everything in the area seems to be barricaded to HB or EHB. Will do my best to heal those in need. Cletus88

June

June 29th

Football FM is back on the air. Tune in to 26.21 for updates and reports by the Malton World Cup Committee live from Clapton Stadium and Pole Mall.

June 28th

FIFA has deployed the elite STARS Hooligans unit to Clapton Stadium to assist in crowd control and ensure a smooth game on Saturday. The Malton World Cup Committee welcomes this dedicated unit of soldiers, and is looking forward to kicking some zombie heads round the stadium in celebration of the event.

June 26th

The Malton World Cup Committee feel a need to respond to Zero T's posting about West Grayside and those 'bl00dy soccer players' as was so elequently put. How about putting your shotgun/pistol where your mouth is instead of wasting time posting stupid statements (for one, 3 billion people across over 50 nations call it football, so why do you insist on saying soccer?). Those 'bl00dy soccer players' have been in West Grayside for the best part of 4 weeks now, come rain or shine, zombie horde or not, trying to keep Clapton Stadium, Pole Mall and the surrounding area zombie free so we can enjoy the World Cup in peace! It is a huge undertaking and we have been asking for help for sometime, our resolve to keep the area zombie free is great, but our numbers are relatively small. So when some random wannabe speaks up about retaking Pole Mall now there are 5 zombies occupying instead of the usual horde of 20+ we have to ask: if you are so committed to West Grayside, where were you last week, the week before, or the week before that????? Maybe if a bit of solidarity was shown when the numbers were against us we could have done some more damage. So Zero T, if you want to make a difference, and start getting WG back, hoist up your skirt, grab your nuts and get yourself over to Clapton Stadium (which we cleared of zombies and barricaded, thank you) and from there we can get Pole Mall up and running (!!) and who knows, move onto surrounding areas. In our experience, the only thing worse than a zombie moaning is a breather whining!!

June 24th

The Big Bash has moved on to the Buckley mall in Buttonville, God help them. Pole mall is all but deserted. If there is anyone left alive who cares about West Grayside, besides the bloody soccer players, then it may be time to retake the mall and the suburb. Sadly, that's a pretty big if.

June 23rd

Members of the Malton World Cup Committee laughed off suggestions of unfair play from the Undeadites as they took Clapton Stadium for some light training. Pointing to the fact that the z-boys regularly tried to field 20+ players despite strict FIFA regulations calling for a maximum of 11, MWCC members dismissed the undeads comments as pure bad sportsmanship. "Quite simply, we divided down the number of confirmed kills per side with the number of players and came up with a fair result," said an official for the tournemant. "As for the horde leaving on its own accord, thats open to debate, but we wish them all the best in their future ransacking endeavours."

Undeadites spokes-zombies point out that most of the 20+ zombies gathered in the stadium were not part of the Undeadites team. Some confusion appears to have arisen. Zombies fear that they must all look alike to survivors. Grumbles of discrimination are heard among the zombie populace who has asked that the survivors now call them the "differently-living" rather than the undead.

June 22nd

Malton World Cup Committee players are enjoying some down time before the next stage of the World Cup kicks off on Sunday at Clapton Stadium. Fans of the Undeadites have been rioting in the suburbs of Stanbury Village and Buttonville since they were unceremoniously dumped out of the competition in the group stages, blaming everything from betting scandals and refereeing decisions to timetable irregularities. "All we're hearing are unfounded and bitter excuses," said one source close to the MWCC, "but the fact of the matter is that they didn't have the pace, the flare or the experience to compete in such a quality competition."

Undeadites coaches respond to the MWCC insinuations that they were disqualified. The horde left on its own accord due to the aforementioned reasons. The Undeadites do not believe that the MWCC will deem any game a zombie victory despite the number of goals and casualties scored by the undead. The MWCC will argue that the loss was due to poor performance, but the zombie experience indicates that the scoring was biased in the survivors favor. We encourage other hordes to hold a match with the MWCC and determine if our findings are accurate.

June 20th

Malton World Cup Committee1-0 Undead
The MWCC fielded a mixed side in this token fixture, with Zumm sitting the game out due to a yellow card and ev2 being replaced by Brando One in the side due to a slight calf injury. What's Happened was replaced just after half-time and Shiv Jones was replaced in the 80th minute as the MWCC headed to an uneventful victory.
+++Undeadite update+++'
After 2 losses, the Undeadites have realised their chances of making it through to the next stage of the World Cup had passed. The zombies coach has been sacked, and the team will now join Saudi Arabia as the worst team in the tournemant.

June 19th

The Undeadites opt to pull out of West Grayside and Game 3 of the World Cup. The horde feels that they should not participate due to the controversy surrounding the prior games as well as the alledge book-making operation. West Grayside, Clapton Stadium, and Pole Mall breath a collective sigh of relief as they have one less horde in the area. However, the Big Bash is another matter entirely.

June 17th

While the home town boys are busy winning the World Cup, it's up to the rest of us to deal with these undead soccer hooligans. They have gotten completely out of hand. It may not be possible to hold the mall, so police have set up a defensive corridor centered on the Dampney PD. The corridor starts at the Topleaf Building (55,84) and extends east to Wiltshire Towers (59,84), then NE to St. Odie's hospital at (60,83). Within this corridor we have syringes, ammo, fuel, and first aid kits. All buildings in this corridor should be barricaded to EHB at all times. If we can hold this corridor, we can stage a counterattack on the mall. Right now... it's not looking too good. Zero T 13:21, 17 June 2006 (BST)

June 16th

Malton World Cup Committee win 3-1.
Unbelievable scenes at the stadium last night. Rumours of disharmony in the Undeadites camp were proved founded when the z-boys turned out late for the kick off. Malton World Cup Committee's Strikers What's Happened (3kills) and Shiv Jones (4kills) were rampant the whole match, but the game goes to right winger and newcomer Gondo Gondo, who, despite not having much first team experience, stepped in and scored three clean kills. Central defender Zumm Zero hit one and played an exceptional role in keeping the undead out, while goalkeeper ev2 was untroubled all game, even finding time to conduct in-game interviews (See last nights live stadium broadcast). Shiv Jones summed up the game for Soccer FM 26.21 - "We weren't at our best, but we got the win and thats all that counts. We know there's better to come, we know we can play better and its a matter of going back to camp and preparing for Tuesday's game". The captain What's Happened, who was later sighted drinking it up in the The Younghusband Arms, hailed Gondo Gondo as the 'future': "What can I say, he's terrific. He's got the whole package; speed, firepower, his defence needs working on but that'll come with experience. Tonight he was in the thick of it and pulled their defence apart. He's the future of this team no doubt." The team is back in camp, resting, before next Tuesday's game, set for 1700GMT, at Clapton Stadium.

June 15th

Halftime update from Clapton Stadium: Undeadites 4, Malton World Cup Committee 0. Despite valiant efforts by What's Happened, Gondo Gondo, Shiv Jones and ev2, they were unable to withstand the Undeadites amazing first half effort. Zumm Zero also made a brief appearance but may have been sidelined for unknown reasons. Undeadite fullback Joe Fabulous, whose head was almost completely ripped off during the play, attributed the stunning first half score to a combination of leadership by captains Alurakan and Orangutang, teamwork, and shiny new soccer cleats looted from Pole Mall. Especially notable performances were turned in by Undeadites rookies Labatte and Pete of the Dead.

June 14th

Clapton Stadiums filling up, the players from the Malton World Cup Committee have arrived in a local hotel and are currently resting before the big game at 1700GMT tomorrow. What's Happened, speaking to Soccer FM after the final training session, commented 'It's going to be a bloodbath', while golden boot candidate, Shiv Jones, sporting new signature shoes was quick to support What's comment: "We're going out to rip some heads off. Coach expects a dominant performance, and the fans deserve no less." The Undeadites were unavailable for comment.

Soccer FM 26.21 will be broadcasting the game live from the stadium tomorrow.

June 12th

Contrary to earlier reports the tournament's leading striker Shiv Jones was at the stadium and playing in the opening day (netting two glorious goals). Holding midfielder Gondo Gondo was in fact the afforementioned Malton World Cup Committee squad member left behind due to a calf strain which kept him out the event. He is undergoing physio and is assured of a place at Thursday's game.

Update: Kick-off for the second game has been scheduled for 1700 GMT on June 15. The mighty Malton World Cup Committee (with returning striker What's Happened now clean and a match-fit Gondo Gondo) face off against the hometown 'zamba boys' Undeadites and their legions of followers. Pundits expect a tense, but exciting game after the events of the opening match.
Update: Undeadite team coaches are preparing thier star players for the upcoming match. During the prior games team uniforms and playing shoes were damaged which prompted a foray into Pole Mall for new equipment and uniforms. Upon seeing potential rivals shopping in the same store a riot errupting resulting in several injuries. The Undeadites were granted a citation for violence by local law enforcement. Fortunately, no arrests were made and the 'zamba boys' are expected to make the match. The lack of arrests is attibuted to their ravenous appetites. Their discerning tastes call for the brains of law enforcement personnel.

June 10th

The scandal-plagued Malton World Cup Committee is vehemently denying eyewitness reports that starting midfielder Shiv Jones was nowhere near Clapton Stadium during game one and was, in fact, hiding inside a warehouse in northern Buttonville during the event. While MWCC fans assert that the modest and talented Mr. Jones was a dominant force in yesterday's game, authorities are now seeking to question Mr. Jones regarding his apparent ability to be in two places at once. Phone calls made to Mr. Jones' press agent have not been returned.

+++WHAT'S HAPPENED PRESS RELEASE+++
Having been caught in flagerant violation of the rules What's Happened has issued a full appology to fans.

"I would like to take this opportunity to appologise to my teammates, family and fans who have travelled to see us play. I didn't realise this was in direct violation of FIFA rules and will not participate in rule breaking again, cheating is a very serious matter that I would not knowingly participate in'.

The Malton World Cup Committee has since ruled that although he will not suffer a 1 match ban, his 2 kills will be stricken from the record, thereby declaring the opening game a 3-3 draw. Next match 15.06.06.

June 9th

Opening ceremony took place without a hitch, fireworks went up and the tournament is underway!!!! Stands are full and the Malton World Cup Committee celerbated the opening day with a splendid 5-2 victory over the Undeadites zombie horde. Leading scorer and central striker What's Happened hit two (including one in the opening five minutes), central midfielder Shiv Jones hit two and Malton's world defensive player of the year hit a decisive header to round off the win. Players are reported to be pleased with the result, with What's Happened quoted as saying "Great start, their defense was a bit shambolic and their movement at times was a little stiff. I think the opening goal put them on their back foot and we capitalised from there." Zumm said "You know, errm, well it was a great game. We had the upper hand, and, you know, we took it to them. Great opponents, great support and we look forward to our next game later in the week."

Update: ZombieMcAllen glances about the stadium in puzzlement at the score board. Zombie throngs line the bleaches tearing out seats, urinating on the vendor stands, and generally running amok. They appear intent on consuming the referees. While ZombieMcallen acknowledges having been brushed by what's happened, it was while what's happened was wearing a zombie uniform. In frustration, his argument with the referees gets out of hand as he eats one of their brains.

June 8th

The results of the Malton World Cup Committee's medical scans are in and the prognosis is good. Our players are now over 300% ready for the opening game, and practicing our celebration dance move, dubbed 'The Zombie' (see pic). Reports from inside the tournament favourite and main rival Undeadites camp are that a number of the players are injured following pre-tournament celebrations. Its coming home.

June 6th

The Gass Plaza Railway Station is now in zombie claws. While a few survivors managed to run most were massacred when the Undeadites, still rowdy from their episode in Clapton Stadium, continued their celebrations. A few members of the Pitman Pitbulls have their vacation cut short as they shamble out of the transit station.

June 5th

The railway station is the last human stronghold near the defeated Pole Mall and Clapton Stadium. The smart ones would do well to get the hell out of there. West Grayside is in dire straits.

June 2nd

Seems the zombie hooligans have sacked the town. There are a couple of human hideouts, but nothing resembling a resistance force. I geuss the game has been cancelled...

Update:The game has definitely not been cancelled. The Malton World Cup Committee will be occupying the stadium for the kick off of the World Cup, guaranteed! Due to members being on holiday for the week, we are currently re-organising our game plan and timetable for the occupation. We have just set up Soccer FM, and will be broadcasting results and analysis during the World Cup -- the frequency is 26.21. Hang in there supporters, the World Cup is coming, and so are we.

A number of ferals along with a few Undeadites occupy Clapton Stadium and declare it harman-free. Barhah has come to the Malton World Cup. - 26/5/06 4:23am GMT - ZombieMcAllen

May 22nd

Game of two halves. The Malton World Cup Committee has retaken Clapton Stadium, rebarricaded it and are having a kick around on the pitch as we speak. The Younghusband Arms has also been safely barricaded for supporters and the nearby Pole Mall, which is currently under siege, is holding out quite comfortably - 22/5/06 15:30pm GMT - goldbuddha

May 19th

With 21 days to go, training is underway, the stadium has been finished and the pitch laid. Despite a couple of random hooligan incidents (where the offending parties were forcibly removed from the stadium), and 5 zombies queuing outside for tickets (We operate a strict no ticket, no entry policy – only people with official tournament tickets, with the ‘free running’ logo printed on them, will be allowed inside), we are currently organizing 2 friendly matches to warm us up for the World Cup proper.
The dates are:
Tuesday 30th May, 2006
Saturday 3rd June, 2006
Opponents are yet to be announced, but we strongly suspect the zombies occupying Pole Mall will be our first opponents on 30th May. The aim of the friendly is to pick a square occupied by a reasonable amount of zombies (probably determined the day before and communicated to all), attack and destroy said zombies during the day using all arrays of skills and abilities. Anything less than total annihilation will be deemed a loss. Remember this is a friendly so play fair, make sure you remain injury free and remember to shake hands and swap shirts afterwards. Please post kills (goals) and any other information - assists, tackles, revives - on our site, which will go towards us selecting the all-tournament squad.

---Urgent---
For any group wishing to participate in the Malton World Cup competition, entry is now open. To register please email: maltonworldcup@hotmail.co.uk The deadline for entry is 1st June. Any single players looking to join in please drop us a line and we will find an appropriate team (assuming your great great grandmother has 1/100th of that nationality in her anscestory). - goldbuddha

May 17th

World Cup Countdown Day 2: the numbers occupying Clapton Stadium grows. Apart from members of the Malton World Cup Committee, we have an additional 10 supporters, all ready to participate in our daily kick around. Zombies have been cleared from the direct area by MWCC members and all parts of the stadium are extremely heavily barricaded. Come down and lend your support. Your country needs you!!! - goldbuddha

May 16th

The Malton World Cup Committee has occupied Clapton Stadium. Preperations are under way for the world cup, the stadium will be complete on time (it is currently heavily barricaded and above in all 4 squares) and the tournament will go ahead as planned. Come and help in the pre tourney celebrations, safety in numbers!!

May 15th

World Cup Fever. As you may or may not be aware, the football (soccer) World Cup is about to begin and we, the Malton World Cup Committee, plan to celebrate at Malton's spiritual home of football, Clapton Stadium. We are already in West Grayside preparing for the event -- clearing zombies, renovating the stadium etcetc -- and invite you to come along and join in. All help will be appreciated. We plan to barricade the buildings, set up generators for the sattelite link, have a firework display for the off and go on victory rampages over the tournament, so come down and enjoy the World Cup in style. Malton World Cup Committee (formerly Dept Q)

May 12th

As of this week and today, the order to retreat has been issued by the Malton Confederacy for ALL survivors in the area. All military and civilian units are ordered to retreat back towards positions in East Grayside suburb and await for reinforcements from Scarletwood. Your decision to remain in West Grayside will be respected but be forewarned: NO REINFORCEMENTS OR ANY RELIEF FORCES WILL ARRIVE AT YOUR POSITION FROM THE EAST.

May 10th

Haidons Hunters base 'Club Haidon' has been overrun most if not all members failed to escape in time. Requesting a safe area to be revived at as Mackie St is not currently a safe revive zone. --Hinora

May 5th

Clapton Stadium and Pole Mall are completely overrun. Over 100 zombies in each building and I estimate that about 200 zombies are outside. Pole Mall has been ransacked and it offers so further resources as such. Unless an extensive coordinated effort is inacted, Pole Mall and Clapton Stadium can safely be deemed lost. --Ruffel 20:40, 5 May 2006 (BST)

May 4th

As you may already know, the mall is/will be under zombie control. The NW corner has about 20 zombies inside and 80 outside, as well as having several groups wandering around in nearby squares. There are a handful of survivors in the remaining 2 sections of the mall. To the survivors: WAKE UP and get the hell outta there! I unfortunately died yesterday, I used my last few AP to barricade but to no avail. Will try to provide as much intel as possible while I head to the next suburb for a revive. Mrh! --Cletus88

Update: 55 zombies at MacKie street revive point, with recent neighborhood activity I wouldnt be suprised if some were not at all interested in being revived, so dont stay long, and make sure you have plenty of AP left to jump into a barricaded building, cause there are small groups of zombies in almost every building/street. --Thetoob 05:42, 5 May 2006 (BST)

May 2nd

There are a total of 89 zombies converged on Pole Mall, the NW corner has 84 zeds, barricaded down to quite strongly barricaded. I Would recomend not staying in the mall.--Mayor Fitting 00:35, 3 May 2006 (BST)

POLE MALL HAS BEEN BREACHED! My zed is at a warehosue 1 block east and 2 blocks north of the NW corner of Pole Mall(the one with 84 zeds at it) and now i saw this...

You heard a loud and distant groaning 1 block to the west and 2 blocks to the south. (05-03 00:33 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:33 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:33 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:40 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:40 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:40 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:53 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:54 BST) ...and again. (05-03 00:55 BST) ...and again. Meaning that it was heard 6 blocks away by all feral zombies, i dont know how many are inside cuz i took a head shot, and now i dont have enought AP to take a peek in.--Mayor Fitting 03:19, 3 May 2006 (BST)

April

April 30th

There is a noticeable increase in zombie activity. Pole mall is frequently attacked and occasionally breached. Luckily the attacks are coordinated by small groups which have been fended off by the few survivors who are paying attention. Necrotech buildings and PDs are also under attack and are not safe havens for survivors. The zombie population is growing despite efforts to revive the infected. --Cletus88

April 25th

Pole Mall has been breached by 15 zombies in the NW section. The Topleaf building (Necrotech) has also been infiltrated by 3 zombies, 1 survivor. --Cletus88

Update: Holly Crescent PD breached. 7 Zombies around the area. --LeGrady

April 24th

All survivors are to attack PH members on sight, they have been in a deadlock war with the Special Tactics And Rescue Squad and the coalition, which has ravaged many safehouses across three suburbs.

April 23rd

PH Pking Cultists are in the area, please foward all PK's to the Southern Alliance member Virus002 with a Screenshot and link to their profile. We are now keeping a database on these Zerging Cheaters.

April 20th

There about a 12 zeds wandering around central West Grayside. The revive line at Mackie Street is still at 16. The cemetary just south of Pole Mall is probably a better location to wait for a revive. Also Pole Mall and the adjacent stadium has come under minor attacks. Cletus88

The attack is from the De-vivification Experts of Malton, an organized zombie group, which is bad, very bad. We might need more help if it spirals out of control.--Mayor Fitting 01:48, 21 April 2006 (BST)

April 15th

Is there any formal way to request revives at the Mackie St. point or any way to send a profile link to interested revive teams? (Or if you have a syringe handy, you can get the link out of my profile.) Shambling from cemetery to cemetery and picking up headshots is a pain for someone without zombie movement skills.--HungryHobo

Or I could just wait here for 5 minutes. That is all the time it took for Esteban Morales to lovingly inject me with his happy 'stand up and live again' juice. Thanks a million! Fastest revive point I have ever had the pleasure of standing in!--HungryHobo 20:35, 15 April 2006 (BST)

To ease the work of revivers, players in a similar situation should request a revive via DEM's RevReq tool.

There are a about 6 zeds AP from West Grayside in East Grayside. 4 of them are outside club lipton, which is empty and the other 2 at the library south of the club. --Mayor Fitting 23:25, 19 April 2006 (BST)

April 13th

There are about 20 zombies waiting for revives at Mackie St. There are a few rotters in the mix, also there are a few waiting to attack survivors and those who get revived. Cletus88

April 11th

There has been some moderate zombie activity in the North East part of the suburb around the Lihou Auto Repair area. As of now it just seems like a bunch of feral zombies sticking around the area after the RRF Excursion. --Mayor Fitting 21:17, 11 April 2006 (BST)

April 10th

Southern Alliance, vows to aid in the Grayside Suburb area over a period of time our exact presence in West Grayside will be temporairly Halted untill East Grayside is at a better condition.

April 8th

I'm noticing increased zombie activity in central West Grayside. Maybe 12 spread out from the Farrington Building (55,87) to Barter Road Fire Station (55,83). They seem to be unorganized for the time being. Cletus88

April 5th

The 501st Armed Division is about to begin it's attack on Clapton Stadium to finish Opperation Downfall

Is the Mackie Street revive active? Apparently it is, thanks quwerty!Cletus88

Be on the look out for humans with zombie skills there opening the doors and leting the zombies in. we need to open a enter point so the people outside in to a safe house and not to use all your ap to get back inside i say we make it at machia or Lihou Auto Repuir.Kyle Condon

February 2, 2006: Buildings still getting barricaded past Very Strong. Resource buildings are being cut off from players without Free Running. Either people don't get it or this is a sabotage effort by zombie spies. - 2/2/06 12:20pm EST - doc detroit

January 12th

The southeast area of the city right now is fairly clear. Zeds occassionally pressing Creedy 'Way PD. *PLEASE* Adhere to not barricading resource buildings over Very Strong, because many people have recently fallen prey to wandering Zeds because they got locked out of their former safehouse at night. Also, in the Southeast DPHC is attempting to help these players locked outside by healing as we go by. Any help in this effort is appreciated. --Sandusky 14:25, 12 Jan 2006 (GMT)
