As such, Malls are frequently used as safehouses and fortresses by survivors. Zombies often check inside (when they can get in), and organized zombie groups sometimes lay siege to them. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Characters with the Shopping skill can loot specific stores. Those without will find these items at random: Bookstore: books, poetry books. Drugstore: first aid kits. Gun Store: pistols, pistol clips, shotguns, shotgun shells. Hardware Store: crowbars, fire axes, flare guns, spray cans, knives, portable generators, toolboxes. Liquor Store: beer, wine. Sporting Goods: baseball bats, Binoculars, cricket bats, fencing foils, golf clubs, hockey sticks, pool cues, ski poles, tennis rackets. Tech Store: GPS units, mobile phones, radios, radio transmitters. Malls are large buildings, and are barricaded as such.

Woodroffe Mall is a four-block shopping mall in the north-west of the suburb of Tollyton.

The Woodroffe Mall is located near to the dangerous centre of Malton, and as such has never been able to generate as strong a community and defence as other malls. Although well served by Police Stations and Hospitals, Woodroffe's nearest NecroTech building, the Rayfield Building [66,67] is 4 blocks away and cannot be easily reached by free running from the mall. The easiest NecroTech building to reach is the Fram Building [64,71], 8 blocks south in Wray Heights. Despite this, the revive point at Errington Crescent [66,66] is usually operating well and is able to keep the mall going.

The Redemptionists have declared the site a place of pilgrimage, in remembrance of Lisa Harper.

October 2008

24 October Everyone's dead, but there's only a couple of zombies. One corner isn't ransacked.

21 October I just went by the mall, about 11 zeds now inside. I didn't want to check inside as I was getting low on AP, but I didn't see anyone actually "living" inside. outlaw2448

3 September The combination of survivor activity and zombies fanning out to other targets paved the way for the members of Bastion High to finish what everyone else started by eliminating the last zombie within the mall and getting the barricades up to VSB all around.
