{{User:The Rooster/Sandpit/8|RugerSecuritySix.jpg|300px|Double action revolvers were standard issue for many police forces 30 years ago. While modern urban police use semi-automatics almost exclusively, revolvers remain popular with security guards and with rural police. This model can fire both .357 magnum and .38 spl ammunition.}}

Kludgetastic. The template here has similar code to specifying a right thumbnail for images. It's main purpose was to provide the same output but without using solid white borders to provide spacing (yay for the genius that is main.css). So you can now call a thumbnail on a background other than white without the nasty border. You must set a width unlike the thumb which decides the size for you, but you can use that to control the size of the thumbnail which is a bonus feature.

The only noticeable difference is the alt text when mousing over the little frame in the top right of the area where the caption goes. The alt text is the title of the page rather than "Enlarge". The link still leads to the image's wiki page though (just like the image itself, which causes me to wonder why bother with it anyway)
