20080701 Yummy!

Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 10:44, 1 July 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type
Balance change.

Suggestion scope
Low-level zombies.

Suggestion description
Any zombie heals when biting a critically injured survivor (<12HP). Health gained is equal to damage done, just like Digestion.

Digestion does not stack with this effect.

This will help lower level zombies as higher level ones will already have Digestion, and so they won't be affected. It's also more for the ferals, as zombies within hordes will get less of a chance to attack the critically injured too.

It's a bit of a bottom-feeder change, but low level zombies (particularly people who didn't start off as zombies) could use a hand, as they have practically no means of healing aside from dying and death cults.

  9. Keep - Good for babas is good for Malton. --Papa Moloch 19:21, 1 July 2008 (BST)
  10. Keep - Makes enough sense, I guess. Dying survivors are going to be bloody and tender, digesting the yummy harman meats wouldn't be as important to healing as the lovely blood marinade. Babah zambahz need love. --Zombie in Pajamas 19:54, 1 July 2008 (BST)
  11. Keep - While the suggester does spam a lot of crap, that is no reason to not vote keep this suggestion. It does have some merit for low level zombabies. --Emot-siren.gif LABIA on the INTERNET Emot-siren.gif Dunell Hills Corpseman The Malton Globetrotters#24 - You rated this wiki '1'! 13. Keep - Sure why not.--Jamie Cantwel3 TalkAll glory to the Hypnotoad! 09:29, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  14. KEEP(ish) Will very rarely be useful and reduces the already meagre usefulness of digestion making it hardly worth the effort of programming. However I can't see it doing any harm and it is very in genre so that just about tips it into keep. Oh and in answer to the people saying zed HP are not important... they are to me and i should think to every zed that bothered to obtain a flak vest!--Honestmistake 10:00, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  15. Keep - I will never have a problem helping low-level zombies. --Atticus 05:42, 4 July 2008 (BST)
  16. Keep - New Zombies are continually killed, and this would slightly reduce that, but I'm for helping new zombies, they get enough crap as it is.--drawde DORISRRRRFRI! 16:33, 4 July 2008 (BST)
  17. Keep Because it would have made the monroeville headshot permament death orgy last a little longer, or at least helped out the hordes. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 16:46, 4 July 2008 (BST)
  18. Keep Clearly, none of the kill voters have played a low-level zombie for a long amount of time. And by low-level, I mean COMPLETELY DEVOID OF ZOMBIE SKILLS. It makes more sense to buy something that allows you to increase your EXP-gaining rate by two (vigour mortis) than to get the skill that makes HP 'not matter' at the beginning. --Howard Bentley 17:15, 4 July 2008 (BST)
  19. Keep Anyone who has ever played a low level zombie knows how difficult it is to stay alive for any period of time outside of a horde. Would provide a better balance. --HighlandZHunter 16:04, 6 July 2008 (BST)
  20. Keep - Playing as a n00b feral is hard. And Digestion is there to make infection harder to get. =P --BoboTalkClown

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - The usefulness of Digestion is marginal enough as it is. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 18:36, 1 July 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - As midianian. --WanYao 19:44, 1 July 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - this is basically something so that zombies can get limited Digestion without even working for it. --Lt.G Deathnut freelance 22:36, 1 July 2008 (BST)
  4. Kill - This idea is utterly unnecessary.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  02:40, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  5. Kill - Dying is not a big deal for zombies. Neither are zombie hit points. --Pgunn 05:49, 2 July 2008 (BST)
RE - correction, it's not a big deal for zombies with ankle grab. --HighlandZHunter 16:09, 6 July 2008 (BST)Non-author RE struck~.  Billy Club Thorton  T!  RR  05:28, 14 July 2008 (BST)
What HighlandZHunter said will likely get struck, but he has a point. New zombies take 10AP to stand up, as they won't have Ankle Grab, and might not have enough XP to buy it straight off. That's 10AP+ lost upon every death, which is 10AP less to spend wildly swinging (and subsequently missing) survivors and barricades. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 02:53, 7 July 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill-the only way this is useful, is in a RT fight. not needed.--Themonkeyman11 05:56, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  7. kill - another bad idea --Scotw 06:10, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  8. Kill - changed vote. It's useless. DanceDanceRevolution 07:14, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  9. Kill - Same as kill vote 3. Health isn't important to Zombies - Zig13 - 2/07/2008 at 09:27(BST)
  10. Kill - Same as everyone above me. --Officer Dick Trickle 22:13, 2 July 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - I don't think it would do much help. --ZsL 00:54, 3 July 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - As the guy above me, and I don't see how much healing zombies need. They just stand up after death.--Kolechovski 19:37, 3 July 2008 (BST)
  13. Kill - Sorry, but there is absolutely now way to flavour text this. Why do the last hp count, but not all of them? This also seriously devalues digestion. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 16:49, 4 July 2008 (BST)
Ahem. The zombies have adapted to their surroundings, and to their food source. They can now digest the bone marrow and blood-soaked flesh of injured victims for sustenance. That do it for you? --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 11:07, 5 July 2008 (BST)
Re - No. It doesnt make sense. The sole reason for the existance of zombies is to eat people. Thus adapting to thier food? No... doesnt fly. It would almost fly for digestion, but we already have that. Why does the victim have to be extremely wounded to be digested? it makes so little sense i wonder if you have even a single neuron occupying your cranial cavity. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 12:53, 5 July 2008 (BST)
Oh, OK then. I thought it was worth a shot. If anyone else can come up with suitable flavour text, then put it on the Discussion page, m'kay? --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 13:57, 5 July 2008 (BST)
  14. Kill - shrug, just die and stand back up. Also as Midianian.--xoxo 03:50, 6 July 2008 (BST)
  15. Kill - Ridiculous but I don't wanna vote spam.. --  13:54, 7 July 2008 (BST)
  16. Kill Or, instead of implementing this large, confusing change, buy Digestion.DaveBF 21:37, 8 July 2008 (BST)
It's far more strategically sound for someone to buy Vigour Mortis than it is for Digestion as their first zombie skill. Remember, that I'm aiming this at survivors without any zombie skills, not new characters starting as zombies, as the 'corpse' zombie class already has Vigour Mortis. Without it, you have 10% bite and 25% claw attack chances, and weapons are no better either. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 03:28, 9 July 2008 (BST)
  17. Kill - It just doesn't make sense though.--Kolechovski 23:12, 8 July 2008 (BST)
  18. Kill Low Level Zombies having it tough and a lack of fun things to do are the only things keeping the Zombie Count under ten thousand.-- Techercizer (Food) (TSoE) 07:02, 12 July 2008 (BST)
  19. Kill If you are a low enough level zombie that you don't have digestion why would you waste AP trying to hit with a bite with this hideous RNG? It just doesn't seem necessary. --– Nubis NWO 17:13, 6 July 2008 (BST)
True, however one must also consider the fact that most survivor-turned-zombies have piss-poor accuracy, and as such would more than likely get the skill to increase this accuracy first-off, as the only way to earn XP as a zombie is through attacking things. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 02:38, 7 July 2008 (BST)
    Kill -- Ioncannon11 17:38, 6 July 2008 (BST) Unjustified vote struck. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 12:22, 15 July 2008 (BST)
  20. Kill Mainly as kill vote 1, but most of what is said above is true. COMPLETLY POINTLESS! --Irounds 01:36, 14 July 2008 (BST)
