New Arkham is a suburb of Malton, located at the south-western corner of the city.

Although the large number of Necrotech buildings make New Arkham useful for scientists, the absence of police departments makes the area unattractive for survivors specializing in firearms skills. Because New Arkham is a long distance away from the mall, survivors here are at a significant resource disadvantage - survivors sometimes move out after acquiring Bargain Hunting. Even before the outbreak it was considered boring. Most people had simple office jobs. After children grew up, they usually left to find some place less dull. The only thing that New Arkham was ever famous for was that it was the youngest suburb in Malton, it was 37 years old at the time of the outbreak and is now preparing for 40th birthday celebrations.

Scurvy Scroungers took control of the three banks in northwest New Arkham and launched a counter attack, reclaiming the Mitchener NT. ----Ebineezer Shifton 20:07, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Newcomers to south New Arkham: Although Curtis Building [7,98] is designated VSB (Free Running entrance) on our Barricade Plan, it is designed to give access to Harford, Denty, and Wreford NecroTech Buildings. When those buildings are open and ruined, adjacent buildings might be Extremely Heavily Barricaded. This provides a staging area to mount reclamation projects (as well as a safe escape for panicked citizens). Please leave extra AP to find safe harbor, and take advantage of Ruined buildings to enter Free Run networks. --Tycho44 W! 20:49, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Group activities: Zombie group Scurvy Scroungers maintain their large nightly vigil in the deeply ruined Mitchener NecroTech Building at [1,95] and are also blamed for sieges on the other New Arkham NecroTechs. The Tebbet Building at [1,97] remains in human hands and nearby buildings have been repaired, thanks to efforts by many Survivor groups including Legions of the OctoPope and Last Hope and the Free Tebbet Campaign. --Tycho44 W! 20:49, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

This information is incorrect--Mitchner NT has been repaired some time ago by various coordinated survivors.--Foster 18:22, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

The Mercenary Group Last Hope has chosen New Arkham to be one of their new permanent bases. More buildings are being cleared out and repaired and staying that way. Last Hope is a strategic based group and are trying to get every necro-tech employee to use their DNA extractors so that the zeds will show up on the Necro-Net. --Super holt 2*LH* 20:59, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Many buildings in New Arkham are in a state of ruin, including half its four NTs. Zombie numbers are not extraordinarily high, but several buildings are nonetheless in a state desultory siege. The suburb is still rather dangerous. --WanYao 05:35, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Buildings here are being repaired and barricaded slowly but surely. The zombies in the area are disorganized and just standing around. As Jack Gillow said, we could use more survivors to help repair buildings. --Maxvance 01:44, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

December 22th

The Wagner Building is back up and Quite Strongly barricaded. A few zombies are hanging around and a few are still idling in buildings, but the Southeast corner of New Arkham seems pretty clear of zombies, though many buildings are still ruined. Independants are clearing out the suburb slowly, and any help is appreciated. --Jack Gillow 19:51, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

The suburb is still very dangerous, although in recent days myself and a number of other independent survivors have managed to re-build many of the suburb's less important buildings for use as safe-houses. To my knowledge all four NTs remain dead at this time, although unless a large number of zombies arrive from elsewhere this will not be the case for long, as survivors are beginning to trickle back into the area. -- CITIZEN VI 03:21, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

December 12th

All TRPs are ruined, as are the majority of non-descripts. Several of the last few remaining "safhouses" have been breached and zombies outnumber survivors in these buildings. Very Dangerous. --WanYao 07:19, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
