You are inside a transit bus moving in a carpark outside Caiger Mall. The seating is stained and the windows are barred and splashed with blood. Also with you are Volker (60HP), Ross (55HP), Franklin Aichon (50HP), Axel (60HP), Jen (50HP), Izzy (50HP) and Tammy (40HP).
The engine is running and in mostly good condition. The gas tank is full.
Somebody has spraypainted abandon onto a seat.
There is another vehicle here.
- The two-vehicle convoy has moved some indeterminate distance away from where you last where. Looking out, you see a monument depicting a man on a rearing horse, pointing out in the distant at some indistinct and entirely ambiguous something. It would be left to the observer, it seems, to decide what the man sees, and why he points. Does he point because he sees pleasant things, or does he see something terrible approaching, and seeks to warn others? But it's up to you.
The streets are otherwise clogged with dead cars and strange secrets hidden underneath the mess left by violence and fear. Both buses creep and meander through the obstacle course, crunching odd bits of metal, possessions and junk.
