  • Over the course of the first month, most of the game mechanics are systematically put into place. Skills, Items, Classes, and game mechanics such as Multi Abuse counter-measures and Hit Limit are introduced.
Early- to Mid-July
  • Prior to the advent of UD Forums, the survivorgroup The Council of Leaders is formed after calls for some organized resistance against the zombies in the city.
Mid- to Late-July
  • The first maps of Malton are pieced together.
  • Bounty hunting emerges and several PKer lists and a system of bounties for them is formed. Work on these list originally began in Yahoo! groups but later were transferred to forums.

  • The Unofficial UD Forums is lauched around this date. While unofficial, and not run by Kevan, they were considered to be the main forums for UD, and were often referred to simply as the forums.
