July 2008

July 24th

There are around 65 zeds in the SW corner of Ackland Mall, when I was there today. The lights are still on. Some of the surrounding buildings are ruined, with a few zombies wondering around. I am unsure of the conditions inside. -- Samiam112 10:23 (GMT), 24 2008

July 10th

There are 29 zeds inside the NE corner of Ackland Mall, according to this fellow. He encourages his comrades with allegiance to the undead to feast heartily upon the gray matter of those inside who consider breathing oxygen integral to their continued survival.--10:16, 10 July 2008 (BST)

As of now, only the SW Corner remains standing. -- Mordac the Refuser 16:16, 10 July 2008 (BST)
The mall is completely ruined thanks to the Ridleybank Resistance Front and many other of my fellow undead comrades. The whole building will be ruined within the hour or so...This is a bad day for survivors and a good day for those zombas that feasted upon the bra!nz of those tasty survivors that were helpless against the oncoming horde. I ate heavily and so did many other of my fellow comrades. VIVA LA ZOMBAS! --Barney Hellfax 18:53, 10 July 2008 (BST)
The whole mall is now officially ruined. -- Mordac the Refuser 19:31, 10 July 2008 (BST)

July 8th

Mall shoppers are warned that 60+ zombies have gathered outside the barricades. While no official action has been taken, survivors might like to stock up on syringes for a fight, or get ready to evacuate the suburb. Zombies might want to get ready for a meal, or get ready to chase some fast food. --Russell Oakley 01:43, 9 July 2008 (BST)

July 3rd

Ackland Mall is announced as the venue of this year's Punk Fest. --HighlandZHunter 14:39, 3 July 2008 (BST)

July 1th

Lights are out inside the mall, courtesy of what looks like zombie spies. Considering that the surrounding area is crawling with the undead and that attacks on barricades have resumed, it seems that Ackland may be in for another fight. Curly the Stooge 9:15, 1 July 2008 (CST)

June 2008

June 10th

"Fight for our home, yo!" might become the ironic and humorous commentary of this battle (it was spraypainted on one of the walls inside Ackland Mall by a survivor refusing to retreat). The effort by AMS and the Crimson Clan to evacuate the Mall failed miserably despite the fact that the Mallgoers had two full days to make good an escape to a more defensible position. Confusion was spread on the radio waves by death-cultists and by survivors who simply had no idea what a LUE assault is like. In the end, the majority remained obediently in mall and were eaten as they slept. The battle was over before it had even begun. Tarumigan 2:06, 10 June 2008 (EST)

  • At 2:49 P.M. EST, the final survivor in Ackland fell to the LUE horde, bringing the mall completely into their hands. Not long later, the final quadrant was ruined. JoJoTrue 20:15, 10 June 2008 (BST)

June 09th

LUE has arrived, ruining the NW quad of Ackland in about ten minutes. The sweet smell of barhah fills the air. Or maybe that's just my air freshener.--Panthera 01:31, 10 June 2008 (BST)

The majority of Ackland's population failed to heed the evacuation warnings posted two days ago and have paid with their lives.--Tarumigan 08:39, 10 June 2008 (BST)

June 08th

There are reports of LUE zombies attacking Auston Auto Repair. If the reports are true looks like the first of the are starting to arrive. Anyone wishing to evacuate may need to get a move on.--Doctor Oberman 15:49, 9 June 2008 (BST)

Y halo thar, buttsecks? - Brona 01:24, 10 June 2008 (BST)

Hello to you too.--Doctor Oberman 01:28, 10 June 2008 (BST)

June 07th

Ackland Mall Security confirms the evacuation order for Ackland Mall and all surrounding structures. We take this action in light of the sudden and catastrophic destruction of Caiger Mall in the north by the LUE zombie horde. AMS and allied detachments are already in motion to secure a secure place to bunker down. Evacuate to Pittman NT in Shore Hills as dictated on the radio. Tarumigan

Also a note to anyone listening to radio broadcasts. DO NOT listen to anyone telling you to stay and defend the mall. They are attempting to sabotage our best chance at fighting LUE. Just get to Pittman immediately and restock from the nearby resoruce buildings around it. LUE could be here today or tomorrow.--Doctor Oberman 16:12, 8 June 2008 (BST)
Unfortunately, some of the broadcasts asking the residents not to leave are coming from zombie deathcultists. One made just such a broadcast right in front of me and was affiliated with the Undeadites. Others are being made by trenchcoaters who appear to have never fought LUE before. It seems to have worked. Virtually no humans appear to have evacuated the Mall. If LUE strikes Ackland, there will be a massive slaughter. We'd like to remind those who are currently taking potshots at AMS and other groups that we didn't call an evacuation on a whim. LUE took out Caiger Mall in a single lightning strike. They ARE in our neighborhood, and if some survivors believe they can fight a good defense from a four-room building against a two-hundred strong zombie horde that attacks as one group, then they're welcome to show the world how the big boys do battle. I won't hold my breath. --Tarumigan 12:25, 9 June 2008 (EST)

May 2008

May 12th

There is now one zed inside the NW part of the mall, the cades are at HB and there is lot of people inside. The zed should be "dead" soon.--Jamie Cantwel3 Talk 17:12, 12 May 2008 (BST)

There is an eerie quiet as all that can be heard is the survivors inside. There are no major zombie threats with the suburb. Is this the lull before the storm. .--Backlash13 Talk 17:55 12 May 2008 (GMT)

May 9th

Drawn by Ron Burgundy's latest Cunning Plan, the forces of humanity have arrived at Ackland in glory and power for an amazing show of class. Some twits, however, are impersonating the Crimson Clan and trying to get the survivors to shoot at each other instead of Uncle Zeddy. --Tarumigan 6:56, 9 May 2008 (BST)

May 8th

Ackland Mall is back in survivor hands, and the war-banners of many groups flutter above the barricades. As we wish to document this for posterity, chime in. Ackland Mall Security is still alive and kicking, and inside. --Tarumigan 11:23, 8 May 2008 (BST)

May 2th

This is Tarumigan Gistarai, local on-site commander. All forces, it's every man for himself! Get the hell out of here, any way you can, as quick as you can! Fall back from the Mall! Fall back! Guerrilla warfare tactics! --Tarumigan 11:23, 2 May 2008 (BST)

May 1th

The Dead have returned to pummel Ackland AGAIN, making this...what? The second or third visit in a month? Oh, and the on-scene AMS Commander was first attacked by a The Dead deathcultist and then again by zombies. It shows how effective we are! --Tarumigan 08:21, 1 May 2008 (BST)

Don't think it will be safe for long, tried to cade with now luck and even killed a zed. The malls got like 5 or more zeds inside; I could be held if the kids who run the place get home from school in time to save it. I don't think they will.--Jamie Cantwel3 Talk 15:38, 1 May 2008 (BST)

It's actually kind of intriguing. I know for a fact that other Malls have larger populations and present better targets. Some of them are relatively close to us. Yet The Dead keep hammering this particular Mall as soon as it shows any signs of life whatsoever. --Tarumigan 11:41, 1 May 2008 (BST)

April 2008

April 30th

Ackland is fully operational. --אֲבִיּוֹנָהGunen.png 01:11, 1 May 2008 (BST)

Active break in as of now. At least one zombie from the Dead inside (and a deathcultist from the Dead as well) SE corner--Ramsfield 03:42, 1 May 2008 (BST)

April 29st

Although The Dead took the Mall, fighting still rages across the suburb as humans clash with the residual zombies from the siege. --Tarumigan 12:24, 29 April 2008 (EST)

April 25st

Unfortunately, the Mall may not remain in the hands of the Acklanders for very long. Drawn by the MIC report that Ackland was retaken, The Dead have arrived with over a hundred other zombies and have placed Ackland under siege. --Tarumigan 4:24, 25 April 2008 (EST)

April 21st

Ackland Mall was reclaimed on April 19 by a coalition consisting of Ackland Mall Security, the DEM, the MCDU, the Crimson Clan, and the U.S. Army Infantry. Advance elements of the Crimson and AMS forces arrived in Havercroft before the fall of Marven. --Tarumigan 11:37, 21 April 2008 (EST)

The four quads of Ackland have been reclaimed by the living and are powered...it is unknown at this point by whom, and there are a few zombies still pathetically knocking on the doors wanting goth clothing. --Mort Vulpis 09:31, 21 April 2008 (BST)

You forgot 2 DEM divisions and a detachment of the MCDU. --GT 2343 BST

April 12th

The Militant Order of Barhah ruined the two northern quads of the mall, once that was done the others fell over in very short order. Thanks to all our friends who helped! Barhah! --Grogh 23:40, 12 April 2008 (BST)

After probing the mall last night, today the NW was struck at and ruined by the Militant Order of Barhah, opening a beachhead for the hordes of zombies in the area to once again reduce Ackland to ruins. Barhah, zethren! ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 05:03, 13 April 2008 (BST)

The Dead have arrived at Ackland Mall and are in the process of consuming head flesh. --Killbottom 15:30, 12 April 2008 (BST)

The place is totally ransacked with all the barricades down. Possible barricaded buildings nearby? Other than that, a total evac of everyone who checked their account before they got eaten. --Akkryls 20:16, 12 April 2008 (BST)

April 11nd

Rumor has it that the Militant Order of Barhah has returned to siege Ackland Mall. --Tarumigan 03:25, 11 April 2008 (BST)

April 2nd

All EH caded but only about 10 survivors inside. --Major Dick 03:53, 2 April 2008 (BST)

March 2008

March 28th

Mall's completely ruined, but there's currently less then 10 zeds in the entire mall with small groups of 10 or less in the surrounding areas. --Zeal The Savior 22:03, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

March 17th

A new siege starts. 70 zombies outside the SE corner are fighting to keep the barricades down. -

13:11, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Both southern corners ruined, with 120 standing zombahs inside the mall, and both northern corners with very few survivors left. Mall will fall soon. -Wutafreek 19:10, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Mar 12th, 2008

After 10 days of darkness, Ackland have light again due to efforts of The Crimson Clan, AMS and local survivors. --

Febuary 2008

  • Feb 30th, 2008 - Owned.--Jorm 10:07, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Feb 29th, 2008 Former AMS Commander Tarumigan Gistarai apparently misuderstood the zombie sock throwing gesture. When he failed to return the socks, as is customary, the zombies were left with no choice but to enter the mall to request the return of their footwear. Negotiations are currently underway with over 100 representatives of the zombie forces inside the NW corner of the mall. Interestingly, former AMS Commander Tarumigan Gistarai is nowhere to be seen and it is rumored that he may have removed the socks from the premises. Headshot Hal 21:14, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Over one hundred zombies led by the Militant Order of Barhah have surged into the north-west quadrant of the mall. Grim tidings for the food that remains.--Jorm 21:57, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
      • NW quadrant is ruined.--Jorm 22:37, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
  • (lmao @ the sock posts) With the mall ransacked survivors are adivsed to fall back to Marven Mall. Staying anywhere in the suburb would be considered suicidal.--Doctor Oberman 23:46, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Uh, what sock posts?--Jorm 23:55, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
      • The one by Headshot Hal and Tarumigan Gistarai--Doctor Oberman 00:55, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Feb 28th, 2008 On news that Ackland's siege is underway, former AMS Commander Tarumigan Gistarai has returned to defend his home turf. As his first act, he danced the traditional Ackland Skirmisher Jig as a salute to the zombie siege force, and was reportedly showered by zombie-thrown socks as a sign of mutual respect. It should be noted that the Skirmisher Jig is only danced in the most severe of situations, so the approaching combat will surely rise to legendary status in short order. Tarumigan Gistarai 9:50, 28 February 2008 (UTC)"
Reports coming in from survivors at Ackland report that their secondary supply of weapons and ammo at Spurdell Walk Police Department have been compromised. Their comment on the event is that although the station has fallen they are already planning on taking it back at a later time. They would also like to point out to the zombie forces that this is a mall, and their is a gun store here for trained fighters.--Com 5;AZMG operative
Zombies have broken in to the south-west quadrant of the mall, roughly 30 remain inside after the defenders managed to evict several and get the barricades back up. Whole mall is without power, but large numbers of survivors remain inside to counter the massive horde outside. As with every report over the previous few days, the situation is more or less a stalemate. The zombies are consistently able to break in and do damage, then are consistently repelled, but not fast enough to make them feel they can't win. Unless one side can achieve a breakthrough in efficiency, this could keep going for quite some time.--Panthera 05:18, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Zombie have been remaining in the mall for several hours now. Very low survivor activity. Zombie count in NW corner is about 84 (known) there are about 210 (known) outside the NW corner. Survivor count in NW corner is 38 (known). 29(known) of those survivors are infected. Little effort is being made to save the mall. Many are retreating to nearby hospitals and resource points. NT workers trying to give revives were attacked due to a number of survivors and zombies not respecting the sacred ground policy. Making survivors and zombies(who were waiting revives) fight back and lose AP.Approximately 60(known) Zombies awaiting revival. It looks like Ackland Mall is going to be in ruin.H4ppy 24 7 19:25, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Feb 27th, 2008 The mall is being surrounded my zeds. They are coming and do plan on ruining the mall. Most of the buildings to the north are gone. Buldings to the south are standing, and people are putting the cades back together. Be advised...the mall is going to be attacked soon, and it will be brutal. "Raiden.Grey 19:54, 27 February 2008 (UTC)"
  • February 25nd, 2008 Recent break in just occurred, zombie numbers ranging from 19-24 inside, bodies coming and going. Pretty intense action in the NW, barricades bouncing between QSB and being non-existent, only the SE is still it. Both sides are active and it doesn't look like there's a decisive advantage on either side so far.--Panthera 04:59, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

All corners EHB caded, lights on. All the survivors from nearby suburbs should come to Ackland Mall and help the bravest fighters in Malton. Better die standing than live on your knees! --Gaetano Bresci 19:41, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

  • February 24nd, 2008 Still Under attack, Ackland and it's brave defenders are holding strong. After a never ending assault by local and organized zombie groups, Ackland currently remains lit in all four corners and with radio transmitters in 3/4 of the mall's areas. Survivors are holding strong but freelancers and regular defenders alike are starting to become irritated with attacking zombie forces, and are requesting assistance from all surrounding forces. Keep up the fight and good luck to all the defenders.-EXOPS Militarized Mercenary Group: 01:42AM (EST)
Despite MOB's attack on key resource buildings there is a large survivor presence in the suburb and the mall. Ackland Mall Security has been working with other groups in coordination and many survivor groups are coming to the aid of survivors. --Doctor Oberman 18:51, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
According to latest EST reports several key resource buildings in the area have fallen but are expected to be taken back slowly in the next few hours. Survivors are holding strong and many are expecting this will become a siege situation. Pro-Survivor groups are encouraged to send support in large numbers if they want Ackland to stay a symbol of human power, due to the fact mercanery and local forces alone cannot continue to hold the area alone with this new threat from additional Zombie forces all over Malton.-EXOPS Militarized Mercenary Group: 09:14PM (EST)

  • February 22nd, 2008 Ackland is currently under attack from a large enough horde to threaten her security. Power is out in 3/4 of the mall at the time of this post, and break-ins are frequent. We need the folks of Havercroft to focus on Ackland and her surrounding tactical resource points if we're to keep this mall. Stand strong. -- Russell Oakley 06:08, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

January 2008

  • January 12th, 2008 Ackland mall is now secure as is most outlaying resource buildings and area's. Minor PKing activity in the area can be controlled by Local Survivor groups, Alpha Company, USAI will be moving out to assist in more contested locations. Good Luck Ackland, Captain Decon, USAI Alpha Company Commander. -- LexDecon 22:01, 12 January 2008 (UTC).

2007

  • December 26, 2007 All corners powered but we could use some help dow here as zombie problem is high and maybe some revive needles too with the mall back we could get the suburb in human hands in no time.

--User:avatar aang 2:52, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

  • December 25, 2007 Back in the hands of the survivors, a day too late to help me with Christmas shopping. All barricades back up at EHB, and one or two survivors in each corner, no power yet. At least now I can access Ye Olde Gothe Shoppe to get the finishing touches for my Uncle Sam costume. --Sterling Bershadsky 18:31, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
  • December 18th, 2007 Woke up just in time. 59 in the SW corner of the mall, no cades at all in that corner (I built it up to "strongly"), no working generators, one body inside. I was getting clawed at a couple times a second, so I had to leave. I managed to cure three infections first. Most of the nearby buildings are ruined.   --cuio (talk) (NW) 06:36, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Zombies are inside. Aprox. 130 zombies inside of Ackland mall. If you want a revive, get in line now, because the traffic will be terrible in a few hours.--Normal PhobicC
Ackland Mall is now completely full of zombies and totally ruined. Over 300 zombies inside and in the area. --Perianwyr 20:45, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
  • December 17th, 2007 Reinforcements are in route ETA within the next three days tops. Full attack capability within the week. Hold out at all cost. -- LexDecon 22:11, 1 December 2007 (UTC).
  • December 17th, 2007 Mall now has about 30 zeds in total in the NW and SW parts of the mall. There are no working gennies in all sections. Some reinforcements might be needed if these continues. Also barricades levels fall dangerously low in the SW section --User:TheRussianSpy 19:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC).
  • December 17th, 2007 The mall has three zombies in the SW corner, with 94 survivors. Cades are holding. Revive points are slightly congested, but the revive situation seems to be stabilizing. Also, the Greatcoat Detective Agency has moved into the Ackland area. While this does not make the suburb significantly safer for the survivors, as our numbers are few, it makes it much more dangerous for the zombies--Screw Names 17:34, 17 December 2007 (UTC).
  • December 17th, 2007 Major breach in the mall. There are 20 zeds inside the SW corner, no barricades and they keep comin'. I'm already dead and help is extremely necessery. - Drakon Brazil! # Beer! 11:17, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
  • December 15th, 2007 Things are far worse than we feared. With the flow of needles slowy draining, there are less people to help hold important buildings. We might have to call in some back-up. -doc crook 16:23, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
  • December 11th, 2007 While I can't vouch for any of Ackland's support network (NTs, fire stations, et cetera), the mall itself is a Bastion of Humanity. All four corners caded up to EHB, powered, and tons of people inside. --Boris 18:14, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
  • As of the night of December 5th, 2007 a reunion has taken place, many of the retired or former members of Ackland Mall Security have converged on Ackland Mall. Calling in favors from several different areas, Nuerotoxic2213, in alliance mainly with The Crimson Clan, and Tompson Mall Security, has begun a manhunt for any known RRF members. RRF members are viciously being hunted down by several survivor groups and fate looks dim on these poor souls. Nuerotoxic2213
  • December 5th, 2007 Ackland's revive points are getting overflow from Zombie/PK attacks at Caiger Mall and Darvall Heights/Chudleyton in general. The Gore Corps (Death Cultists) plus extras are moving into Havercroft and are reportedly hitting tactical resource buildings in the area; survivors should be on alert. Several NT buildings important in the malls defense are under Zed control (specifically Brennand & Stagg)- Retaking these places are vital if Ackland plans on lasting longer than our unfortunate comrades at Caiger. --Kale Black 16:59, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

  • October 31, 2007 On my rounds through Ackland Mall on this evening. I found a New store that had opened. a New Store in 2 years since this mess all started. It is a New clothing store with Goth releated clothing. It is located in the South East Corner Smithy Jones 16:38, 1 November 2007

A griefer named Razies apparently attempted to spark a war between the 82nd Airborne Division and the Crimson Clan by having his alts from each clan attack each other, but the attempt was detected and he has now become a fugitive from justice in the area. Razies (also acting as Dr. Lingus) has also been impersonating Ackland defender Tarumigan Gistarai on the radio transmitter.Tarumigan 12:30, 29 October 2007 (BST)

The fog has slowed survivor activity, and over the darkness of the day, Auston Auto Repair became re-ruined and filled with zombies. The inactivity caused by the fog unfortunately boosted the radio spam from its already ridiculous rate into astronomical proportions. For every knock of the door from the undead, there is a pointless message over the radio. Razies' fake war between The CC and the 82nd has driven everyone in the mall absolutely insane, and morale is low.Joe Anger 06:51, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

  • October 8, 2007

The horde has identified itself as The Many, although it seems unlikely that they are a continuation of the original, historical horde. Instead, it is likely that they are inspired by them. Judging on field recon, The Many number approximately 70-100 individuals, most of them low-rank zombies. This should not put survivors in Ackland at ease...LUE started in precisely the same fashion. I strongly recommend that all survivors throughout Havercroft retreat into Ackland Mall itself. --Tarumigan Crimson Clan Militia 12:09, 8, October 2007 (BST)

Are they identifying themselves as the Many or is that just people speculating?Margaret Vainglory 19:30, 9 October 2007 (BST)

++ahem++ since someone haven't updated this page... I guess I'll break the ice. The Axworthy Hotel 35, 43 (1N, 2E) is ruined and has more or less 50 zombies inside. In a stunning and abrupt end to an Ackland Mall era, AMS Command has stripped Tarumigan Gistarai of his leadership post and has summarily dismissed him from the group. A subsequent shootout between Officer Gistarai and AMS left a top AMS commander dead and Gistarai running for his life. --Tarumigan 12:16, 12 September 2007 (BST)

  • Would that not be a subsequent PK rather than shootout considering the AMS officer in question was sleeping?
  • Does the person who wrote that have the balls to sign their name? Nope, I didn't think so, must be an AMS member.--Toothdecay 01:46, 18 September 2007 (BST)
  • Not AMS but still smart enough to not want to be targeted by Tarumigans PK friends. Maybe Tarumigan can come on here and deny it himself rather than send his pker to do his dirty work?
Taru didnt send anyone, we came on our own will. Thats what loyalty is, fool.--Doctor Oberman 03:58, 22 September 2007 (BST)

Ackland Mall Security and other survivors struck in larger force today and have reclaimed all four sections of the Mall in a clatter of gunfire and the groans of de-vivified zombies. AMS officers are currently on station, repairing the damage done by the zombies and holding the barricades until reinforcements can arrive. --Tarumigan 12:16, 06 September 2007 (BST)

  • August 26, 2007

A valiant effort by the Crimson Clan to clear and retake the mall today occured. 3 quads were cleared before the zombies pushed them out once more. More survivors will be needed for a fully effective assault.--Doctor Oberman 02:16, 28 August 2007 (BST)

  • August 21, 2007

After cooling down a day or two in Chudleyton and Darvall Heights, LUE has returned to action. Ackland mall has been breached, over 70 zombies are feasting on the survivors inside the NW corner, with more LUEsers on his way to the mall. This time a repel of the horde seems impossible. --Jakio 00:21, 21 August 2007 (BST)

The NW corner of the mall has been ruined after only 25 minutes of action, with more than 80 zombies standing inside, over 50 survivors slain, and possibly no casualties of the undead.--Jakio 00:31, 21 August 2007 (BST)
No duh... no AMS, or any security really, so no need to boast. -Kaboose117
Correction, there are plenty of AMS there - I counted at least 5-6 members, 3 already slain in NW quad. And that was a quick check of two quads...so the confusion on the airwaves has obviously tricked some AMS personell to stay and be eaten. Perhaps some way of authentication on the airwaves might be figured out next time? *grin* --Mort Vulpis 01:00, 21 August 2007 (BST)
Sad state of affairs when killing 60 people in less than half and hour is no longer impressive. LUE will probably clean out the NW corner soon, but oh, nobody cares because they've done it before. That's the problem with doing something extraordinary. When you do it enough, people come to expect it from you and no longer appreciate it. Shame shame.--Insomniac By Choice 01:28, 21 August 2007 (BST)
Maybe LUE should just retire like Shacknews then. Your atleast guaranteed historical group status for the damage the group has done.--Major Striker 01:38, 21 August 2007 (BST)
Maybe LUE can paint the rest of Malton RED. I smell endgame in the not-all-too-distant future. --Donathin 16:31, 21 August 2007 (BST)
Oh, FEG no. Psychology alone dictates that there WILL BE no end to this game. When the challenge grows less, the winning side loses members. People convert. Like happened to the survivors. Plus, the more territory you occupy, the more spread out you will be. Flood tactics, baby! Nalikill 21:40, 21 August 2007 (BST)
Well... I'm sure 5-6 memebers isn't AMS at their full force, even close to the full force. And I'm sure that 60 people is about 50% of the survivors, so the reason you guys won, was because riverside tactics won most people over... 60 people in one corner is a lot but 60 people in one mall aint much. -Kaboose117
as you said, there were 60 persons in the least populated corner of Ackland, not 60 people inside the entire mall. --Jakio 00:32, 22 August 2007 (BST)
60 was not the number of people in the last corner, because the person above stated they would clear the NW corner at a later time. I'm just pointing out that this was a victory for you, just not a great one. Those AMS were most likely acting against orders, or they were not the very active ones. So either you killed the inactive mall security, or you killed those who stayed behind. Also, the majority of veterans probably left knowing the situation was grim, therefore, you guys killed 60 or some novices. A victory, but not a great one. -kaboose
Im going to have to second Kaboose. Those were obviously unactive members, the majority was trying to get as many people to Brennard, but only 70 people isnt much better then 60. I thought it would take at least 300 to repel the horde mroe then once. Ee were hoping for 4 quads worth of people, but the confusion on the airwaves was no doubt a blow. It was an attempt at something different then what usually happened. Nevertheless Im thankful for LUE, even if they kick our arses everytime XD. Maybe AMS will do better at cooperation in the next siege --Doctor Oberman 23:04, 22 August 2007 (BST)
  • August 13, 2007

A lone zombie broke into the mall at approximately 2:45 PM EST. It was quickly dealt with and was disposed of properly. In other news the Brennand NT point was restored to working order earlier today.

  • August 07, 2007

Ackland Mall remains a bastion of the living. Most of Havercroft has electrical power, and the streets are empty of zombies. South Havercroft is slightly more dangerous, but still a lot safer than many other strongholds in Malton. --Tarumigan 04:01, 07 August 2007 (BST)

For its stalwart efforts to repel the Horde, their courage, and their honorable behavior under fire, the LUE horde affirms that the AMS is a foe worthy of the highest respect. Nuerotoxic2213
  • June 28, 2007 - 63 standing zeds. 52 outside the NE corner of the mall. Probably at least 30 or 40 more lying down. Meaning the status of this mall could be re-upgraded at any point. Nalikill 20:07, 28 June 2007 (BST)
  • June 27, 2007 - VICTORY. Great job, Ackland! It got a little rough there for a while, but we pulled through--It's not over yet, thogh... we need to rebuild Havercroft. I've not seen such a spectacle in Malton since my days defending Caiger during the First Siege. Godspeed! --Chris Retnam 18:56, 27 June 2007 (BST)
  • June 26, 2007 - IT IS TIME. Ackland only has 24 zeds inside at the time of this posting. Upper right quad has only 1 zed inside. It's time to strike! All survivors should gather what supplies they can and deploy to the mall--It's time to retake what's ours from those shambling bastards.--Chris Retnam 18:29, 26 June 2007 (BST)
  • I entered the mall...'. Couple of dead zombies, theres overall 11 zombies, the NE and SW have a couple of survivors in, barricades are low in the SW, the doors are shut, if people can kill the 9 zombies in the NW and the 2 in the SE the mall will be EASILY retaken, you can kill like 2 zs a trip, so thats only like 6 people need to log on, but quickly come and kill, otherwise doors open, thousands rush in, a couple of buildings around are safe, sorry if entry points are closed, I did not do this, but leave them, because people can be revived once the mall is safe, just try and fight off the zombie freaks! --Stuape27 22:39, 26 June 2007 (BST)
  • Ackland Mall is now back in Human hands. All 4 corners populated and half of the mall powered up. There is only 1 zombie left in the SW corner. Many thanks to AMS and the citizens of Havercroft. for quickly recapturing the Mall. Now we can about our shopping peacefully.--Doctor Oberman
  • June 25, 2007 - WAR HAS COME TO HAVERCROFT. The collapse of Ackland Mall has destroyed the single largest seat of survivor power in Havercroft. Large numbers of feral zombies unaffiliated with the LUE Horde have swarmed into the districts streets, tearing down barricades and destroying everyone they encounter. A few days ago, Havercroft was lit up like a Christmas tree. Now the streets are dark, and the buildings lie empty and ransacked. If you are a survivor traveling through this district, exercise extreme caution.Tarumigan
  • June 23, 2007 - Ackland Mall has been defeated by the LUE Horde. Though the initial round of skirmishes ended in the favor of the survivors, LUE's coordinated blitzkrieg simply overwhelmed the defenders of Ackland. LUE's siege lasted less than two days, and was incredibly well coordinated. It is, however, believed that a large portion of survivors...perhaps a majority...escaped Ackland before the collapse. Timely evacuation on the part of human forces saved many lives. Tarumigan
  • ALERT: I am calling out a bounty on one "Barhah Betty", whose pro-zombie propaganda is meant to dishearten and discourage survivors from fighting the good fight. Rumored last seen at Martha General Hospital, she is considered KOS for the good of humanity. Kill her, give me proof, and name your price for your services.--Chris Retnam
  • NE Quad is ransacked with 100+ zombies inside. It's only a matter of time, unless a counterattack happens. Personally, as a member of the Ackland Abattoir, I thank the AMS for keeping such quantities of brains available. I also must give credit to LUE where it is due...for without them this wouldn't have been possible. Mort Vulpis
  • LUE wishes, in turn, to thank the membership of the Ackland Abattoir who showed up for our little soiree, as well as members of Lueshi's Undead (our sister group, and brothers in Barhah), as well as the large numbers of Feral zombies who attended. This would almost assuredly not have gone down this quickly without the necessary help with barricades, feeding groans, and dragging efforts they provided. The Mall is ours! Barhah! Celebrate, please - help yourselves to a harman'doeuvre! ... snack! (never could spell that!)--Vito Mortis
  • June 22, 2007 - EMERGENCY BULLETIN: 80+ zombies have broken into the NE Quad! They've slaughtered at least 50 survivors there...there's only four left standing in that Quad. This is a priority one emergency. As the local, active AMS officer currently observing, I am calling for all other quads to counterattack at NE Quad in force. We must riposte IMMEDIATELY and in force if we are to drive the enemy back! All survivors converge on NE Quad and engage, or this Mall is going to collapse.--Lieutenant Tarumigan Gistarai
  • Right now, Ackland Mall is bleeding. Ackland Mall is dying. Ackland Mall ... is beautiful.--Vito Mortis 8:24 PM, 22 June 2007 (EST)
  • As the siege enters its' second day, Ackland is now facing down the threat of at least 160 zombies, marking the single largest zombie assault force to enter Havercroft since the Mall Tour of 2007. The Mall's administrators reiterate their call for reinforcements from outside of Havercroft. Rumor has it that Caiger Mall is readying a relief force to bolster the defenders of Ackland, but this is not confirmed.
  • Today, at 7:01 pm EST, roughly 20 zombies breached the northwest quadrant of Ackland Mall. Several defenders were killed, and the generator and radio transmitter were destroyed. One survivor was witnessed to turn his shotgun on another; this individual claimed LUE affiliation in his profile but LUE has stated they did not know of the survivor's intentions beforehand. It is currently believed the turncoat has been executed for his crimes.
  • June 21, 2007 - Ackland Mall's defenses were pierced this evening by a major assault by zombie forces. An unknown number of human casualties occurred in the ensuing rampage. However, Ackland's defenders rallied and re-established the barricades. As of the time of this writing, approximately 37 zombies remain standing in the SW Quad. One zed was still alive in the NE Quad. Fighting continues to rage in the SW Quad, with survivors outnumbering zombies. Maintain the barricades, heal the wounded, then shoot any intruding zombies and dump their worthless bodies out the windows.
  • Zombie Number has dramatically increased. 42 Zombie in North-West Corner. There are no confirmation of LUE activity. Skritz
  • Zombie number is up to 79 84 in Ackland NW. Nearby revive points clogged with Brain Rotters to prevent survivors from easily being revived. Try going to a building away from the action and requesting a DEM revive. Put "Ackland Survivor" in the description and we'll help you out as soon as possible. Hang in there!Chris Retnam 18:15, 21 June 2007 (BST) 21:05, 21 June 2007 (BST)
  • June 18, 2007 - after some extensive arguing, Nuerotoxic2213 of AMS and Leonard Futz have apparently come to a personal cease fire of sorts. Nuerotoxic2213
  • June 17, 2007 - Somewhat after the fact, but AMS and M-BEK agreed to a ceasefire as of last week, both admitting that the other was too-closely matched with them to effect anything resembling a decisive victory. Tarumigan
  • June 14, 2007 - All is fine! Barricades are at EHB and the generators are running! Nothing will get us! We can survive a YEAR in this Mall!-Skritz
  • June 09 ,2007 - The see-saw battle in Havercroft continues. AMS operatives stormed several buildings in southern and central Havercroft this morning, killing two M-BEK agents. One of those slain was Doctor Oberman, a former AMS officer that defected to M-BEK just yesterday. The other, ShinobiSlider, is regarded as the leader of the M-BEK group. Both members were revived shortly after the encounter and are at large once again. The fierce fighting between the two factions has now outlasted some historical zombie sieges. Tarumigan
  • June 02, 2007 - Zombie presence at Ackland Mall has increased considerably over the past two days. That is not, however, the most serious problem. After a lull in activity, the M-BEK PKers have re-emerged in force, and have killed two Ackland Security officers. Disruption to AMS operations in Ackland is serious. AMS is asking Havercroft residents to be on the lookout for members of the Malton Bounty Emo Killers, and to report any sightings immediately on the radio. Of particular interest are the whereabouts of ShinobiSlider, TheStillWind, Leonard Futz, and Mrs Flibble.--Tarumigan

May 2007

  • May 30, 2007 - Zombie attack at the North West corner.--Zalqpz
  • May 28, 2007 - It is not often that the historian becomes a part of history himself.
  • Tarumigan Gistarai, the AMS officer who has recently been updating the Ackland Mall Wiki, was himself attacked in Ackland Mall itself by an M-BEK agent while he was online. The AMS officer returned fire, and shoppers ran for cover as the two men fought a running gun battle not unlike the famous Chinese blood operas. The M-BEK agent, Leonard Futz, was killed in the firefight.
  • Gistarai's commentary: "Just to show that you can't keep a good man down, he (now zombie-Futz) then bit me and forced me to run for my life like a little schoolgirl." Overall, we rate this event a solid "four shotgun shells" award for excellence (the zombie equivalent rating would be three and one half brainz). Truly this event must vie with the Battle of the Bear Pit as a part of Ackland history. Tarumigan 9:30, 28 May 2007 (EST)
  • May 26, 2007 - Gunfire again broke out in the suburb this morning when an Ackland Mall Security officer was shot to death in the mall proper. Security forces responded, tracked down, and shot the attacker at the Husted Building north of the mall. Citizens are advised to exercise caution by the AMS as the ongoing PKer problem at Ackland represents a low-moderate risk to survivors in the region. Tarumigan 12:30, 26 May 2007 (EST)
  • May 24, 2007 - At approximately 11:30 this morning, Ackland Security forces stormed the Lumber Building north of the mall and caught several nefarious criminal masterminds by surprise. One of the M-BEK PKers was cut down in the hail of bullets that ensued.Tarumigan 11:30, 24 May 2007 (EST)
  • May 23, 2007 - An organized group known as "The Malton Bounty Emo Killers" has apparently declared war on Ackland Mall Security for reasons that are not entirely clear at tis point. M-BEK is apparently a group that specifically targets players with "trenchcoat" descriptions. Among the first victims was AMS's former leader, who was assassinated in broad daylight in the Mall itself. Tarumigan 11:23, 23 May 2007 (EST)

April 2007

  • April 24, 2007 - The Ackland Mall has been sacked twice in as many months. While seeing a mall change hands is certainly not unusual, one is forced to analyze the reasons WHY Ackland seems to fall so quickly and easily.
  • Although a more scientific study would be in order, I suspect strongly that the single most important factor that complicates the defense of Ackland is the difficulty in obtaining syringes. Ackland does not have a source as convenient as Caiger. More action must be expended to secure Necrotech supplies, which means that the entire revive operation is hampered. Until survivors can establish some sort of reliable system to resupply Ackland's defenders, this event will be repeated over and over again. A strong, centralized defense authority is needed to coordinate Ackland's activities. Tarumigan Gistarai 10:54, 18 April 2007 (EST)
  • April 18, 2007 - The mall is fallen, all four corners sacked and full of zombies. A local zombie was quoted as saying "Nah mahr harmanz? Harmanz rahn ahraa. Harmanz gah mrh? mrh? mrh? Hahaha BARHAH!" Srekto 02:37, 18 April 2007 (BST)

March 2007

  • March 29, 2007 - The battle for Ackland Mall heats up tonight. Repeated break ins by small numbers of Zombies, barricades going up and down already. Survivors unable to get the mall clean of Zeds between break ins, only 80 breathers alive inside the besieged NE corner. If you're sleeping in Ackland Mall tonight, keep one eye on the barricades and one eye on your brains.--Electrasol 00:59, 29 March 2007 (BST)
  • 12:52 Eastern time. NE and NW corners are down, 67 zeds in NE and around 20 people, 33 zeds in NW and less than 15 people. Both cades are down.
  • 9 hours have passed since the last update, the only notable change is that zombie numbers are up to 328.
  • The Drama Club staged a performance of "Apocalypse Now" in the SE corner of Ackland Mall as part of their Outward Spiral Tour of Malton. The group plans to travel in a counter-clockwise outward spiral from the center of the town to the outer edges with one show in each suburb. Today they performed for the 47 survivors defending the mall from the Mall Tour '07 as part of this tour. See their group page for performing groups and schedules.
  • 16:53 Eastern time: 230 zeds inside. All but SW corner are ransacked and all survivors are gone/dead. Time to bail out. The mall is lost, I repeat, the mall is lost.--Charest
    • More than 130 zombies inside the mall. The few survivors remaining in the NE corner are either heavily wounded or infected. If the harmans dont act now, this siege will be over before the end of the day. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 19:25, 29 March 2007 (BST)
  • Joseph Hawk wins the dubious honour of being the last breather in Ackland Mall.
  • Ranzag! Ram Man Ham! Bra!nz! Barhah! That's another one for the Mall Tour gentle breathers. Zambahs give Ackland a rating of 1-1/2 Bra!nz. Oh, and Zambahs don't like those conceptual paintings either, the place will look better decorated with gore and shredded trenchcoats. --Electrasol 22:47, 29 March 2007 (BST)
  • 5:00 EST - This is Tarumigan Gistarai, AMS. There are three hundred zombies INSIDE the mall! All remaining humans, evacuate Ackland and the surrounding safehouses. We cannot stand against this force. Ackland, and likely Havercroft, are lost to survivors.
  • March 28, 2007 - The vanguard of the Mall Tour has arrived, bringing the total number of zombies outside the NE corner to 270. The barricades stand at heavy, a pile of 117 dead speaks of the fighting that's been raging in and around the Mall for at least a week. The bulk of the tourists are shambling towards the Mall right now. Arriving in force tonight, tomorrow they'll be ready to begin their assault in earnest. Will the mall still be standing by the time the bulk of the tour arrives? Will this be an epic mall defense? Stay tuned...--Electrasol 23:18, 28 March 2007 (BST)
  • Word is that the Mall Tour cometh....let them. Ackland has withstood constant siege now for an extended period of time...primarily because people are doing their duty. We shall make such a stand as to be remembered for it, like the great defense of Caiger Mall. We will not yield to the crazed hordes undeath. Oh, and, by the way...if you are a survivor with plentiful weapons of death, we would love to have you on board.
  • March 27, 2007 - Zombies outside the NE Quad now number around 130. In addition, a smaller group of 30 zombies is sieging the NW Quad. Electrical power has failed in several mall quadrants, but the really heavy barricades are back up. Ackland's defenses are strong.--User:Tarumigan Gistarai
  • In addition to all these zombies already outside, the mall tour is now going to arrive shortly. The mall currently stands with a 1.326% chance of survival.
  • March 26, 2007 - Zed forces have attacked the North EAST barricades and have brought them down. Some had already entered the mall before security could react and slam the doors. They are running amok and destroying all of our radio transmitters. This is especially annoying, as I happened to like several of those transmitters.. Tarumigan Gistarai

February 2007

  • February 11, 2007 - The mall has recently been prosperous; however, someone killed a known PKer in the mall and didn't remove his dead body. When he stood up again, the PKer destroyed all the generators; at the moment, the mall is completely unpowered. This just goes to show that Monty Python is applicable to almost everything in both life and unlife. Enziet 08:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

January 2007

  • January 20, 2007 - A massive human counterattack led by The Lime Brigade has reduced all the zombies outside to just a pile of bodies. There were over 60 standing zeds, now there are none. The mall is powered in all corners, and its residents are winning this battle on the inside AND outside. --Pchem 02:52, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
  • January 15, 2007 - Ackland is holding strong, with over 130 humans inside and only 7 standing zeds are at either revive point. The number of standing zeds outside Ackland is less than 50 again. • January 2, 2007 - With all corners barricaded, and no zombies inside the building, the mall is in human hands. There is a large group of zombies gathered outside the NW corner however, we can only assume they will be making a move soon.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 02:15, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

But Shacknews does deserve credit for breaking the record for Toppling Ackland Defenses in the shortest ammount of time - Smithy Jones 14:56, October 16 2006
  • The number of zombies remaining in the mall has fallen to single figures, but the NW corner remains ransacked and more zombies break in as players log on during the period of increased activity in the evening. Unless the corner can be fully restored, sleeping in the mall tonight is not a healthy option. Low level survivors are advised to quit the mall immediately. --Preasure 19:20, 16 October 2006 (BST)
  • October 15, 2006 - The New Malton Colossus Has ordered a General Evacuation of the Ackland Mall Survivor Population. This EVAC Order was a hard choice but is in the best interest to keep Survivor casualties low. - Smithy Jones 22:47, October 15 2006
  • A bit of News Team Clarification: This is not a retreat! We're simply sidestepping the inevitable broadside from Shacknews. Should we stand and fight, there would be no siege. For now, we are attacking Shacknews zombies as they sleep. There are 70 of them in Moseley Plaza Police Dept [36, 44], for instance. When they hit the mall, we will be doing the same thing; we will be attacking the zombies in the mall while residing ourselves in low key safehouses outside. This is the only way to take on a group as coordinated as Shacknews. They strike as one, so we have to break them up. --Ron Burgundy 02:00, 16 October 2006 (BST)

August 2006

  • August 8, 2006 - Ackland Mall as well as Havercroft is back to Yellow. There is a Zombie break in at least once a day, mainly in the SW corner. The Invading Zombies are killed, bodies dumped and baracades refortified within a few minutes. On a Sad Side note: It seems each and every time The Classy Ron Burgundy enters the Mall, he is dragged back outside by his screaming rabid zombie fans that cant get enough of this man. - Smithy Jones 13:15, August 8th 2006

July 2006

  • July 31, 2006 - The Channel 4 News Team, having regrouped in Ketchelbank and flipped off the monkeys, is now en route back to Ackland Mall. There are currently several survivors within the mall and a handfull of zombies outside. Our Classy allies from the Battle of the Bear Pit have been trying to retake the place for a few days- and by the hammer of Thor, they seem to have done it! It's no stronghold, but it's back in survivor hands and the times seem to be a-changin! Should it stay in survivor hands, we'll be spreading ourselves out through the suburb and bringing Swift and Hideous Death to the remnants of the Big Bash. --Ron Burgundy 21:48, 31 July 2006 (BST)
  • July 25, 2006 - Currently 13 standing zombies occupying a heavily ransacked Ackland Mall. There is even evidence of arson in some of the stores, whether it was caused by Zombies or humans is unsure -- Smithy Jones 4:15, 25 July 2006 (BST) Edit: It was zombies. After a huge Metal Concert the zombies set the place ablaze. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS CoL 05:16, 25 July 2006 (BST)
  • July 15, 2006 - There are around 150 zombies inside the mall, the remaining survivors are being slaughtered. For all intents and purposes, the Mall has fallen as there is no possibility at present of it being cleared of zombies. Survivors are being advised to withdraw to Caiger Mall. Update: 245 zombies, 12 survivors - do the math. Update: Ackland Mall is now completely under zombie control.
  • The Channel 4 News Team is falling back to Nichols Mall to regroup and revive who we can. Nichols Mall is much closer than Caiger and really could use the help. Falling back to Caiger is, in this anchorman's mind, complete surrender. The zombies are never going to shamble on back that way. We'll rebuild Ackland, but squatting in Caiger Mall, suburbs away from any action, isn't the way to do it. Never fear, my friends. We took a hard hit, today- and it was the first one in our history- but we're the Channel 4 News Team, God dammit. We clean up good. --Ron Burgundy 04:38, 16 July 2006 (BST)
  • The southwest corner has been cleared and ransacked. Based on the Big Bash's track record at Buckley, Pole, Tompson and Marven mall, Ackland is not expected to last more than two days.Convider 16:21, 15 July 2006 (BST)
  • Update: Knights of Columbus, the Big Bash folks are already outside Nichols! The Classy folks over there would do better to barricade than revive, so we shouldn't add to the problem. Of course, if you're alive and looking for a fight, you need look no further. On the other hand, anyone dead and looking for a revive should try Yagoton instead of Nichols. The YRC is the largest revive group in Malton and they're damn Classy people to boot (some of you may remember them from our fights in Bale Mall). Their revive zone is inside St. Swithun's Church [45,17], which is kept unbarricaded. Sorry to change things around, but here I was thinking zombies still shambled everywhere they went. --Ron Burgundy 19:29, 16 July 2006 (BST)
  • July 14, 2006 - The Channel 4 News Team is back in the area. The attack in which 30 zombies got inside is now over, but survivors take special care to sleep in the southeast corner. It's where they're attacking and it's far easier to see the barricades coming down and prevent an attack than to try to repulse an attack once in. What's more, zombies now have the ransack ability and that means losing one corner of the mall is tantamount to losing the whole thing and being unable to barricade it back up. This stands to be the first mall siege where ransack and drag play a large part and the first in a long time where zombies outnumber survivors in all of Malton. As such, we, the Channel 4 News Team could use all the help we can get.
  • Ackland's siege has gotten worse. There are over 30 zombies currently inside the mall (SW corner), with over 150 outside. Barricaders are needed desperately, as well as healers and skilled fighters.
  • July 13, 2006 - Ackland is currently under siege. There are at least 190 zombies outside the southwest corner with regular organized breakins. The affiliation of these zombies has yet to be determined.

June 2006

  • June 14, 2006 - The Channel 4 News Team has declared victory and left the Bear Pit. We are now on the move to Barrville, as there are no longer enough zombies in Ackland Mall to justify our staying there.
  • June 12, 2006 - The Ackland Abattoir makes a historic announcement. See their wiki for more info!
  • June 6, 2006 - As the devils' number enters the date, so does the WSFFG sweep into the mall, slightly disappointed at the lack of action. --Matson Jade 17:40, 6 June 2006 (BST)
  • June 3, 2006 - The Havercroft barricade plan has been updated by the Loose Cannons. The mall is to be heavily barricaded (in case anyone needed to be told). There are three entry points, and revive points have now been marked.
  • June 2, 2006 - The buildings outside are taking a pounding but the barricades are mostly holding. The upper-left corner of the mall has at least 130 standing zombies. Broadcast on the Ackland Mall Station: 27.50. 4:00 PM EST (US East Coast)

May 2006

  • May 29, 2006 - It saddens me to report that one member of the Channel 4 News Team has been caught by Kevan zerging in the NW corner of the mall. This is a long way from classy behaviour and Ackland Abattoir had hoped that this group, unlike so many others, were above cheating. To date no public statement has been made by their leadership and so far as we know those caught zerging are still in the group. --Davedavinson 08:51, 29 May 2006 (BST)
  • May 28, 2006 - There are 80 zombies, 150 bodies, and 400 survivors in the Ackland Mall area.
  • May 28, 2006 - Survivors holding the mall. Constant small incursions in the NW corner, but 80+ survivors there holding firm, and many more in the other corners.
  • May 27, 2006 - NW corner has been overrun. Over 130 zombies and over 100 dead bodies (outside).
  • May 19, 2006 - A new siege has begun as members of the RRF and Ackland Abattoir assault the Mall to reclaim what is theirs. Zombie count nearing 200 groaning or lying bodies. All survivors are advised to make their wills now.
  • May 15, 2006 - A recruitment drive has begun for a new group in the area. The Ackland Mall Security organisation intends to coordinate mall defences and protect local shoppers.
  • May 14, 2006 - Rumors of an approaching RRF strike force have raised tensions inside the mall. Sentiment is gelling to take the blow, make a stand and form a base from which to liberate Barrville and Ridleybank of the deader presence permanently. Ackland is the critical supply point between the centers of Survivor and Zombie power and is the fulcrum that can be used to lever the RRF from central Malton. Tamjin.
  • May 13, 2006 - The Channel 4 News Team, having liberated the mall and killed until we can kill no more, has officially left the area to buy new suits at Hildebrand Mall and slay the zombies over there! It's been wild, Acklanders. You stay Classy!
  • May 12, 2006 - 306 survivors inside, only 28 zombies futilely chewing outside Ackland Mall. This is Awaken Deep Blue 21:12, 12 May 2006 (BST)
  • May 4, 2006 - The combined offensive between members of the Malton Rangers, C4NT and a host of allies marks a turning point in the course of events in Ackland. For the first time in more than three weeks, survivors outnumber zombies around Ackland.
  • May 2, 2006 - "Due to our invincible victory march, looting by the survivors is forever good as zombies are slain and driven out in Odin's name. As of 3:13 pm EST the words Barhah now... but we'll be back are immortalized on the northeast corner. Imagine walking into Ackland Mall for the first time and seeing that on a wall. It just tells you right away the mall is definitely not under zombie control. This is awaken Deep Blue of Channel 4 News Team. Ron Burgundy wishes you to stay classy!"

April 2006

  • April 16, 2006 - New zombie horde begins to form in Havercroft, calling itself the "Ackland Abattoir"
  • April 15, 2006 - Ackland Mall falls to zombie hordes and death cultists, with 100+ zombies inside, and all harmanz fled or eaten. *Burp*
  • Nah, nah! Ackland Mall nah haz hangrah Zambah mahb. Plahz, harmanz, plahz zahnd mahr tazty, tazty bra!nz ... um, reinforcements.
  • April 14, 2006 - All people in the mall are strongly advised to evacuate the mall proper. We are currently sustaining an extremely high rate of attrition due to the zombie break-ins and some recent PKing, and we will not be able to sustain this rate of loss much longer. Cut your losses and evacuate immediately if able.
  • April 11, 2006 - The siege continues. The survivors retain posession of the mall despite regular zombie attack.
  • April 5, 2006 - NEW SIEGE HAS BEGUN!!!!!!!! Over 90 Zeds forming on the NE corner of the Mall. Survivors inside are preparing for an attack at any moment. Get to Ackland...We need help! Entry points as of April 8th include St Blaise's Church (31, 46) and Woollacot Boulevard Fire Station (30, 45).

  • March 1, 2006 - Mall in human control. Random Zed attacks on outlying buildings. Have penetrated serval nearby Hospitals and a constant tug of war exists between Zeds and Survivors.

January 2006

  • January 30, 2006 - (burp) The Mall is perfectly safe. Requesting tasty reinforcements! We will hold! Send more harmanz...err...humans!
  • January 29, 2006 - After a restless night the barricades are up again, but about 80 zeds are still inside the mall. Less then 15 survivors remain in the NW corner. All remaining humans scatter or migrate to Caiger Mall, site of the final showdown of Mall Tour '06.
  • January, 28, 2006 - The situation deteriorates as the first Mall Tour '06 tourists begin to arrive at Ackland. There are now 500+ visitors outside the Mall's four squares. Small groups of humans try to fight off the tourists while the people inside try to keep the barricades up.
  • January, 27, 2006 - The locals of Havercroft, along with the various human groups that are defending the mall as well as their suburub, have decided to switch the revive point. There are around 350+ zombies at the NW corner of the mall with 150+ dead bodies. The situation is looking better with strong barricades and survivors are eliminating the zombie threat and barricading back up whenever there is a breach of the mall.
  • January, 26, 2006 - The siege enters the 3rd week. The mall still stands.
  • January, 25, 2006 - 351 zombies spotted outside the NW quadrant. The situation looks grim.

  • January 11, 2006 - Zombie mobs from nearby Barrville have attacked the low-level buildings surrounding Ackland Mall. Many have retreated into the safety of the mall itself but factions are rallying either for making a stand or abandoning the mall for safer suburbs. If you come to Havercroft to join in the looting, beware.

2005

In late August, 2005, Ackland Mall was the site of a large-scale massacre led by the Undying Scourge, who claimed credit for killing several members of the CoL. Total human casualties during this assault have been estimated at anywhere between 40 to 200.

On September 20th, it was reported by a PLEB member that Ackland Mall was still in the grip of a zombie horde, possibly since the attack by The Undying Scourge, with in excess of 60 zombies inside and outside the four blocks comprising the mall proper and various zombies on the streets in surrounding blocks. Some surrounding buildings were reported as barricaded and free of zombie activity. Some of these were reported as being possible to enter, others were not.

On September 26th, it was reported that Ackland Mall was once more in human hands. With the Mall heavily barricaded and heaped bodies outside it seemed as if ownership of this disputed landmark had once more swung back into the hands of the living.

On October 26th the mall became the target of the Ridleybank Resistance Front group two, joined the day after by group one. Human resistance lasted one day only: on Oct 27th the mall was overrun. The number of casualties is still unknown.

Throughout November, with vital help from the HHH, remaining Zombie forces were slowly and deliberately eliminated, through the use of strong military tact and, of course, sheer courage and strength. A horde of 40 - 60 Zombies was forced into retreat; the area is now, once again, in the hands of the living. The history of this hard-fought battleground continues to unfold.
