Malton Zoo Telethon
If you follow the suggestions page, you may already know that Lord of the Pies recently recommended some changes be made to the Malton City Zoo. The Malton Zookeepers absolutely loved the suggestion, and wanted to get right to work! Unfortunately, our accountant recently informed us that - probably as a result of our refusal to charge for admission - we're dead, flat broke! All of our liquid assets are currently tied up in elephant food and monkey pants. The geniuses on the Board of Directors put their heads together and decided to raise the funds using a time honored and tested tradition...THE TELETHON
POSTPONED
Due to certain scheduling conflicts, the Malton Zoo Telethon has been postponed. Our radio blitz will begin Wednesday the 20th at midnight GMT and continue until Thursday the 21st, midnight GMT. Sorry for the delay, folks!
A Telethon? Like that Jerry's Kids jerk?
Well...pretty much, yeah! From midnight GMT on Wednesday, the 20th of December until midnight GMT on Thursday the 21st, the talent at Malton Zoo Radio will be entertaining and informing the residents of Malton all day and all night. Our hope is to raise an as yet undetermined amount of support and money we'll need to make sure the Zoo gets the improvements it so richly deserves.
What kind of entertainment? This better not involve Jerry Lewis
The deejays at Malton Zoo Radio have been digging through the crates all week, selecting the best Malton and zombie themed material the 80s have to offer. Our Zombie Zookeepers have even lent a hand, and are providing songs written and performed entirely in zombish. Did somebody say Zombie Christmas Carols?
We've also contacted some local celebrities that we hope to interview on the air, and of course our chairman Belmond will give a very special address about why the Zoo is so important to the city of Malton. And of course, there's always the potential for special, surprise guests!
Ok, give it to me straight, are you talking about Jerry Lewis?
It's hard to say for sure...there are so many celebrities in Malton! We haven't specifically invited Mr. Lewis, but we certainly won't turn him away if he shows up and wants to be on the air.
Man, I hate that guy
That shouldn't stop you from tuning your radio to 27.19 from midnight GMT on Wednesday the 20th through midnight GMT on Thursday the 21st! Be a part of Malton history! Take an active role in changing the face of the Zoo, so that everyone in the city can have a chance to enjoy it to its fullest. All it takes is just a few minutes of your time, and it could change one animal's life forever.
