This setting (which can be changed in player setting page) will allow user to pick up a shotgun or pistol unload it take the shell or clip and throw away the firearm.Basically when you find a gun you get its ammo and don't get the gun.

Notes:

It cost ap when you search an item and no other ap subtractions.
It's automatic when you find an fire arm ,but if you don't want it you can change the setting.
