Long ago, before any of you were born, I lived in England. It was the industrial era and everything was growing and becoming better. Things that everyone takes for granted today were just being invented while I was alive. While I was alive I was a detective who worked with the English Police. I was working on trying to find this evil man who used magic to raise the dead, machines to kill, and tortured hundreds while remaining untraceable.

I worked day and night to try and find this guy but every time I came close he got away. I would chase him through sewers, factories, boatyards, homes, and butcher shops. Every time I came close to catching him he vanished. He killed many people and I could do nothing about it. He killed government workers, police officers, doctors, store owners, prostitutes. If he wanted someone dead they were as good as dead.

One night I got the clue I needed. A new killing machine was manufactured in a building near the coast. I went there to find him working with chemicals and plants. The merderer ended up being a famous doctor. His name was Doctor Necrosis. A carriage arrived with a coffin in the back. Two men loaded up his chemicals and his noted and closed up the carriage. I followed the carriage to find it stopped in front of another factory. This factory had been abandoned for years.

I went around the back and got a view of him working. He mixed up a couple of the chemicals, took a needle, and injected them into the dead man. Nothing happened. The doctor cursed at his misfortune and went back to mixing chemicals. This process went on for hours before I finally confronted him. 

He finished another mixture when I finally made it to him. He worked away even while I talked. I told him everything, from what will happen to him to how I found him. Went I went to arrest him He stuck me with the needle. My head spun for a moment which gave him time to run. I chased after him even through the splitting head ache and spinning room.

I lost him near this very cold room holding a lot of the dead bodies. It was very cold in this room and I was having a hard time focusing my vision and I lost sight of him. He taunted me at every step. Then it got dark and I heard a loud door slamming shut. I tried to get free, screaming and pounding on what I thought was the door. That is when my memory goes blank.

I woke up from my slumber in the same room I was in. I didn't know what year it was or what was happening. Apparently the power was lost and everything in the room thawed out. The door to the room was closed but not locked. I pushed open the door to see the present day. My body hadn't aged a day and I was as healthy as humanly possible. I looked around the building looking for anyone. It seemed as if something attacked the people inside the building. There was blood everywhere but no bodies. 

Then I looked outside. There were creatures posing as men walking around. Than I saw it a plaque stating the founder of the company. Doctor Necrosis was the founder of Necrotech. It seemed whatever he was working on when I confronted him worked and let him open this company. Now I am stuck in this era locked in where the demons roam.

It seems Doctor Necrosis's work was continued after I was frozen. He seemed to have been able to stop the process of aging and cure all diseases. With his work, though, he has brought about walking dead. The walking dead, though most are feral, are now his army. They terrorize the city and kill en mass. He has taken control over the city, which seems to have been renamed while I was frozen. His work may have spread to other parts of the world but that I have yet to see.

I have been learning as I go but it seems my skills in diagnosis and first aid, although rusty, are affective. The undead seem unstoppable. No wound has brought down one permanently, only slowing them down in the process.
