:That's not how it works. You don't fit the criteria to be a sysop, and you don't have community support. This policy (which wouldn't work because of the wiki groups we have atm) would be better suited to people like Thad. He got fairly even support and fits a good amount of the criteria. :You see, your problem is that you don't understand politics. Asking to be a sysop is like proposing to be wed. The more you do it, the less people will want to give it to you. Forget the whole concept of you being sysop. Unless someone asks you about it, don't even mention it until someone eventually nominates you. That way, you won't let your own hubris ruin your chances like it is. Focus solely on improving the wiki like any other common person. You know how, and you've clearly been doing this, but what you've done so far just isn't enough. You need to flood the wiki with examples of your devotion to it. Force everyone to see how helpful you are, give helpful opinions even on topics that don't concern you, and make some friends. I liked your comment "Now believe it or not, they are among the easiest places for survivors to thrive" Which I totally agree but for myself I tend to survive in these areas without feeling the need to reclaim the whole suburb.

Pkers or hunted men use these areas to live and settle in because of their lack of human and generally zombie presence, if your in no rush you can restock through ruined buildings and take the heat off yourself slightly.

I wondered would your article consider changing its slant to include a general "life in a ghost town" theme?
