Don't use a First Aid Kit (FAK) on yourself.  Every building with survivors inside is an ad hoc hospital, and you just have to say "I'm wounded" to have a couple of people jump to heal you for some XP.  You want First Aid Kits for the other end of that receiving line, and if you ask nicely first, they may let you throw an axe in their gut first. (The "Hit/Heal/Hug" method of quick XP.)
If you have the ''Construction'' skill, you'll need this to repair barricades and generators for XP.  If you don't have the ''Construction'' skill it's only taking up way too much space (16% Encumbrance) that could be freed up for other things like more FAKs, clips, shells, spray cans, etc, et al, ad nauseum.

Like with the pistol, if you don't have at least the basic skill you're being wasteful, only this time ''very'' wasteful.  But if you've got ''Advanced Shotgun Training'', you'll hit often enough to make it count threefold.

The Malton Guerilla Legion (MGL) is a small, mobile, low profile, combat group dedicated to combating the Zed threat in the Malton Quarantine Zone. We intend to stay mobile, not just in a given suburb, but throughout the MQZ in an effort to support established pro survivor groups. The MGL views the "pro" in "pro survivor" to mean professional and not just in favor of.

Support Accords

As a small guerilla unit, the MGL isn't in a position to make any high-level alliances, since we don't intend to stay in any suburb for long. We do stay for "indefinite, extended periods", however, to offer manpower in support of any operations by local groups, and thus seek Support Accords with any groups we may run into on a regular basis.

The MGL is a staunch supporter of the Dulston Alliance.

Uniform

Mgl uniform.jpg
The Standard MGL Uniform consists of the following clothing items, though members are free to modify to suit their own preferences and comfort:
  • a black beret
  • a set of Fort Creedy dog-tags
  • a grey short-sleeved shirt
  • a camouflage jacket (assumed to be in subdued urban camouflage)
  • a pair of black trousers
  • a pair of black leather boots

Regardless of clothing items worn, uniform or otherwise, a Malton Guerilla Legion unit patch should be included in the character's survivor and zombie descriptions.

Loadout

Fireaxe (x1)
This should be one of the fist items you find.

While the knife is a better starter weapon, they're hard to find and fall a little short in the long run. Head to a Fire Station first chance you get and you'll be almost guaranteed to get a Fire Axe after only a few searches. Then get the Axe Proficiency skill and you'll be swinging with the best of them.

Toolbox (x1)
If you have the Construction skill.

If you have the Construction skill, you'll need this to repair barricades and generators for XP. If you don't have the Construction skill it's only taking up way too much space (16% Encumbrance) that could be freed up for other things like more FAKs, clips, shells, spray cans, etc, et al, ad nauseum.

First Aid Kit (x3)
Always have a few handy.

Revive Syringe (x3)
If you have the Lab Experience skill.

Without the Lab Experience skill, this item is useless. With the Lab Experience skill, however, this is a very, very precious thing.

Pistol (x5)
If you have the Pistol Training skill.

If you don't have Basic Firearms Training you're only wasting time and resources. If you've got Advanced Pistol Training then lock and load.

Pistol Clip (x3)
If you carry any pistols.

Having several pistols means you don't have to reload that often. But when you run dry, you'll need at least a few reloads to keep you safe while you search for more clips.

Shotgun (x3)
If you have the Shotgun Training skill.

Like with the pistol, if you don't have at least the basic skill you're being wasteful, only this time very wasteful. But if you've got Advanced Shotgun Training, you'll hit often enough to make it count threefold.

Shotgun Shells (x4)
If you carry any shotguns.

Again, always good to have some backup when you're done with the fighting, because you never know when the dust will kick up in your face.
