This portion of the Fortress has been disbanded.
On March 28, 2006 at 6:22 in the evening, a force was officially assembled within The Fortress, this group was formed as an independant arm of The Fortress, much like the Shadow Wolves team.
The purpose of The Assault Squadron? ' ' To annihilate zombies like a plague of locusts. The team is commanderless, and will be deployed by The Fortress to hand out punishment to anything undead in a particular zone with relentless and unnecessarily excessive force!
Can you join The Assault Squadron? If you are an Assault Officer of The Fortress and have been accepted a position by The Head, then yes...but The Assault Squadron accepts NO LESS!

Perks of the Assault Squadron
Achievement Based Awards
Journeyman - To earn this award the AO needs to visit ALL 100 suburbs. You will gain Malton experience and understanding of the different suburbs. Where appropriate you would be excused from your combat squad for a month. The Journeymen would bring proof that they have been to every suburb in the form of certain landmark significant buildings around the City.
Warlord - The AO is set a strict target of slaughtering a high number of zombies in a time-scale. A very tough challenge that requires superb AP management and improvisation.
Veteran - The achievement is that the AO has lasted 3 more months on top of the first 3, in Combat Squads. The first Veterans are expected to achieve their titles in May!
- - - Elite - Twelve months in a combat squad - some AO's are already half way there!
Assassin - The AO has managed to Headshot the Leaders of 5 official Hordes.
- - - Master Assassin - An upgrade to the Assassin rank - 10 Zombie Leaders killed.
Head Hunter - Sounds vicious, but actually the AO has to convince a certain number of people to join The Fortress, quoting your name, in a certain time period.
Horde Slaughterer - The Assault Officer must kill ten known members of a single horde within seven days. If achieved, you will receive the Horde Slaughterer ABA, join the Horde Slaughterer Scoreboard, and be added to the Hall of Fame
Heaven's Touch - The Assault Officer is to revive twenty zombies at an established revive point within seven days. If achieved, you will receive the Heaven's Touch ABA, and be added to the Hall of Fame
Assault Squadron Advice
-- Jason Valer's Advice --
Always keep your gun pointed in a safe direction such as at a zombie or communist.
No matter how responsible he seems, never give your gun to a zombie.
If guns make you nervous, drink a bottle of whiskey before heading to hunt zombies
When unholsterign your gun, its customary to say "Excuse me while i whip this out."
Don't load your gun unless you are ready to shoot a zombie or are just feeling generally angry.
If your gun misfires, never look down the barrel to inspect it. Have a zombie or someone you
hate do that for you.
Never use your gun to pistol whip a zombie, it could mar the finish.
-- Trong Tran's Advice --
Kill. Find your own strategy. I'm not here to tell you what to do...yet.
-- Skull Kid's Advice --
"Shoot when there not looking, then run"
