I just read your intriguing Anti siege strategy work and I was thinking a slightly better name and a template (a la River Tactics) would do a lot to spread your spot-on points about siege tactics.  I don't know, just a thought.  Overall though, I think you are right about meat shields and the advantage of holding a NT instead of a mall. Some expansion beyond the Shearbank siege would be useful for others trying to apply your ideas, but whatever.--Lachryma 03:39, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

:Thanks for commenting, and I fully agree. I've been looking for the time to clean it up and make it more generally applicable... at the time I wrote it I just wanted to get the thoughts down and available for consideration in the then-current Shearbank siege. I have more to add, the wording/presentation certainly need cleaning up, concepts summarized, etc... your feedback is definitely helpful in focusing these things a bit.

Thanks for commenting, and I fully agree. I appreciate the reference to River Tactics, I was unaware of that page and it looks like a great model... don't recall it coming up in my search for "strategies". I'll have to dig more thoroughly, to avoid overlapping other pages too much and make sure credit goes where due. I do have to admit I'm rather new to using/contributing within a wiki system.

Okay, gotcha. Just getting your thoughts down, then polish later, that makes sense. If you need any help with wiki stuff let me know, as I have a touch of knowledge. Oh yeah, you should really sign your posts with the sig button. And most people wouldn't know you'd replied to them if you do it on your own talk page, but luckily I'm addicted to the Recent Changes page! Anyway, I'll be watching for improvements in the near future (aka whenever) and if you ever slap together a template I'll put on my (tiny) group's page!--Lachryma 04:09, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Heh, I just ran into the wiki's conflict handling (I realized I forgot to sign it and was doing so when you commented)... rather nice the way it works. So, I should reply by posting to the relevant person's own talk page then? Thanks for the suggestions, I may indeed pick your brain when the time comes (post holidays I imagine). --exonecro 04:20, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Where you reply to is really up to you. I'd suggest replying to a talk page of someone you don't know, but I'm fine with talking here. And that edit conflict is a really cool feature. Anyway, we can plot about tactics whenever you want. I know someone who makes templates, so maybe later we can make one. Anyway, hope you have fun holidays!--Lachryma 04:28, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm honored to know that I'm "more of a risk than [these] flailing meatsacks." Sucks (for you) that I got combat revived within a minute of being dumped, huh? See you soon! --Goolina Gore Corps 01:56, 15 May 2007 (BST)
