Wouldn't it be better to use an external link with single brackets, rather than an internal link with double brackets? Else by using both categories and this template, we get the same problem as with the Orphan/Yorphan template - that there is an additional internal link, which keeps those pages from showing up on Special:Lonelypages should the original internal link be destroyed. (See [[UDWiki:Administration/Policy_Discussion/Special:lonelypages|this policy discussion]], particularly the talk page.) --{{User:Spiderzed/Sandbox/Sig}} 21:24, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

:Nevermind, I just checked closer and saw that you used stealthexternallink. (From my first look on Cat:ZALP it looked to me like an internal link, which immediately created a Yorphan dejavu.) Pretend that I never posted :p --{{User:Spiderzed/Sandbox/Sig}} 21:29, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
::Just saw your comments. The template does use external links but the links you see on [[:Category:Z.A.L.P.]] and other group cats are in fact internal. This is because of a conversation started (but never quite acted upon) during [[UDWiki:Administration/Policy_Discussion/Special:lonelypages|this policy discussion]]. Because recruit ads and nav bars are transcluded on the wiki but not typically linked anywhere, they can be treated differently than Orphans. There really aren't too many meaningful places to link them from normal articles. It was either link them from talk pages (such as with the Orphan/Yorphan project), use an ark (which it sort of what I went with), or find a meaningful place to link them. The categories I've created or edited act as an ark and are as meaningful a place as I could think to link them. {{User:Vapor/sig}} 00:18, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind, I just checked closer and saw that you used stealthexternallink. (From my first look on Cat:ZALP it looked to me like an internal link, which immediately created a Yorphan dejavu.) Pretend that I never posted :p -- Spiderzed 21:29, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Just saw your comments. The template does use external links but the links you see on Category:Z.A.L.P. and other group cats are in fact internal. This is because of a conversation started (but never quite acted upon) during this policy discussion. ~Vsig.png 00:18, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
