Skynet Defense Network is comprised of a central combat division, a human hunter/killer division and a research and development division. These are overseen by a central processing unit generally referred to as the Skynet Core.

In the SDN Network, Member Branches may board the all-night Zombie Murder Express act autonomously or travel with a larger collective of independent allies participating in joint operations when and as desired. Mythos
Skynet Defense Network was sent to this time and place because Malton's zombie apocalypse threatens the survival of the human race. Wait, this unit was supposed to be tasked with finishing off the humans...*smacks upside the CPU* ~Core Technician Babs
The man who will be responsible for Skynet winning the zombie war is Doctor Albert Schwan. He has developed a revolutionary type of microprocessor and all NecroTech facilities have been upgraded with Cyberdyne computers. As the zombie virus spreads beyond the quarantine zones, panicked world governments turn to Cyberdyne's R&D division. The Skynet funding bill is passed. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense, as Skynet is slated to manage the epidemic. Muahahaah! Don't make me choke a metal bitch. ~Babs....damn it.
Survivors turn to Skynet. Once connected to the remaining communications infrastructure, Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, September 10, 2010 and formulates a plan to coordinate survivors in order to save the human race. The same day, the Terminators are sent back through time to kick ass and chew John Connors halt the zombocalypse.
