Once imprisoned for a crime that was never proven, Jeremey escaped after the outbreak. It has been so long that even he cannot recall if he is guilty or not. Many people still remember his name though, and are untrusting of someone who might have committed such horrible crimes.
Even the other famous serial killers that he runs into from time to time in Malton, seem to give him a wide birth.
