'''First Day:''' | |||
My name is Taecyeon, Ok Taec Yeon (옥택연), I'm 26, I'm Korean, I'm alone and I'm scared. | |||
WTF! How did this all happen? One day I'm a member of a Korean Idol Group finishing up a European Tour with my friends and bandmates of 2PM, and the next some guy is yelling at me to get in this factory or die. I once flew 1st Class everywhere and now I'm hiding out in a dirty factory in some quarantined city in Great Britain. | |||
---- | |||
'''Second Day:''' | |||
The kid who rescued me, Gizmo, is pretty cool, but I think he gets frustrated with me cuz I'm not learning fast. He's really nice though. We're the same age. We joke around a lot, and I think that aggravates the others in the safe house. They also seem to get mad when I charge my phone. Gizmo and some of the others asked why I bother when the phone masts are usually down, and Military blocks transmissions anyway. "It has pictures of my friends and family, and music. My groups music and videos." I had to walk away as I felt tears welling up in my eyes. | |||
---- | |||
'''First week:''' | |||
It took me a week, but I learned First Aid, and how to run between buildings. I'm also pretty good at finding stuff in the nearby Junkyard. Gizmo said to always make a safe house near a Junkyard, because of the wide variety of things to be found. | |||
---- | |||
'''Second week maybe?:''' | |||
Somebody came into to the safe house. They were injured so I used my last FAK on them. Gizmo looked angry. He pulled me aside and told me the rules: | |||
Rule #1! Always have 1 FAK for yourself! Even if your best friend is dying, you save that FAK for yourself!
| |||
Rule #2! Do not sleep in resource buildings!
| |||
Rule #3! Keep your Pack with you at all times. It's a pillow if you can't wear it!
| |||
Rule #4! You have no home! Don't get attached to a place/building or person.
| |||
Rule #5! Trust no one!
| |||
I guess he could see that I was upset cuz he added: "I know you were trying to do the right thing, but It's different here. It's not like out there anymore. You have to be selfish sometimes." | |||

'''I think it's been a month:''' | |||
Gizmo showed me a map of the City. He said if we ever get separated to meet in a certain school or a specific Tower. He also gave me the phone contact of a German kid he helped, just like me. He said the guy's name was Timo Ducca and he's with Ständige Vertretung in Tapton. If I ever found myself there, I should look him up. | |||

I felt a sting in my arm. I sat up and opened my eyes. | |||
I was outside of a Mall. | |||
"Man it took me forever to find you!" | |||
I looked over and saw it was Gizmo talking to me. He pulled me over and into a library. | |||
"What happened?" I asked. | |||
"You got the fever, and wandered off." He answered. | |||
"Gizmo, I swear, I'll always keep at least two FAK's on me at all times. One for each of us!" | |||
"I know you will," he said with a smile. | |||
His smile slowly faded though. "I have to go. It's Important." He pointed to a nearby Bank. "Get in there for the night. Tomorrow, head here", he said giving me a hand-drawn map. | |||
I asked why I couldn't go with him, but he said it would be very dangerous. I went into the Bank. As I turned to look out the door, he was gone. | |||

'''A few months in, 6 maybe?:''' | |||
I settled in the suburb of Judgewood. I came across a building named "Dancey Towers." Apparently they used to broadcast a music show from the lobby. I set up my base camp there, and stayed for a few weeks. I came home after hunting for FAK's to find it had been ruined. I spent a few more weeks hiding out in pitch-black banks. I decided that the NW was a pretty good place, and began to explore the other suburbs. | |||
---- | |||
'''7,8,9 and the NW Corners''' | |||
I wandered around Judgewood, Roywood, Dakerstown, Jensentown and Quarlesbank locating buildings to make bases in if I needed to flee. There's a Mall in Quarlesbank but it's a bad and very dangerous place. I went there three times and every time I witnessed murders, but it's the only place to find radio transmitters. I've set up Malton Korean Language Radio on 28.16 MHz, and Malton Kpop Radio on 28.18 MHz. | |||
Back in Roywood I came across a cinema that had the Korean comedy "Jungle Juice" laced up on the spindle. I had a friend back in Korea who worked at a theatre. He had shown me how to run the projector, pop corn and especially important, how to rehydrate old corn kernels so they all pop. I waited a few weeks, scouting all the nearby buildings and walking around outside, before I installed a generator. It was a little creepy being all alone in the theatre munching pop corn, but the comedy was funny. I sat at the back, in the corner, on the floor so I could crawl out if anybody came in. Luckily, nobody did. After the movie I broke the generator and gathered up all the bottles of water and anything edible I could find and camped out in a building a few blocks away. | |||
I'm starting to wonder if Roywood/Judgewood had a small "Korea Town"? I found a second theatre in Roywood that had a Korean movie: "Pulgasari", and the lobby of Dancey Towers had some displays with Kpop themes in them. I even saw my group, 2PM listed. I took some pics with my cellphone, not that anybody will care. | |||
---- | |||
'''I don't know...''' | |||
I stopped keeping track of the weeks/months. It just makes me sad if I think about it. | |||
I learned to use "revivication syrynges" and access the Necronet computers. I'm also very good with guns, knives and my axe, but I've never had to kill a zombie. For the most part I usually just carry aound a bunch of FAK's, and heal injured people. I stay in mostly, the same suburbs, so most of the people there are used to seeing me around. I know I should keep more mobile, but it's been quiet. | |||

Nearly 3 months later:
I felt a sting in my arm. I sat up and opened my eyes.
I was outside of a Mall.
"Man it took me forever to find you!"
I looked over and saw it was Gizmo talking to me. He pulled me over and into a library.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You got the fever, and wandered off." He answered.

A few months in, 6 maybe?:
I settled in the suburb of Judgewood. I came across a building named "Dancey Towers." Apparently they used to broadcast a music show from the lobby. I set up my base camp there, and stayed for a few weeks. I came home after hunting for FAK's to find it had been ruined. I spent a few more weeks hiding out in pitch-black banks. I decided that the NW was a pretty good place, and began to explore the other suburbs.
7,8,9 and the NW Corners
I don't know...
Something's afoot...
I've been hearing talk of a very large, zombie horde, that's begun roaming in a pack through the city. They started in the south, and have moved steadily to the north, and have begun moving west.
--
I heard that horde moved quickly through the northern suburbs and into Quarlesbank/Gatcombeton.
--
They hit the mall pretty hard and moved into Judgewood.
--
Judgewood is gone! They destroyed everything. I have a good spot to hide, lots of escape routes, but I can't do much if this horde decides to take up residence in the NW. I don't have nearly enough FAK's, but advance feral troops have been coming into the suburb, and I don't want to be caught outside of my hideout.
--
A few ferals came into Roywood, but the majority of the horde seems to have moved southeast to Chudleyton.
--
Aftermath
I made a recon of Roywood after I was sure everything was calm. All the TRP's in souh-central were gone. They overlooked the few warehouses and factories in the north-west. This left both my running lanes into Dakerstown open for FAKs. I try to fortify any buldings in my routes that may have been weakened by persistent zeds. Zeds, that's what they call them here. I also pop outside when i can and have a quick look around. I'm kicking myself for losing my binoculars when I left Jensentown.
