Usage and Modifications Discussion

This template is meant to be subst:ed onto an inactive sysop's page as a warning that they face demotion. I've gone with a table with background colour to increase it's visibility, given it's a major warning that they're about to be demoted. To use place {{subst:Inactive}} on the page, or if you sign with other than the standard ~~~~, {{subst:Inactive|signature code}} -- boxy talki 04:39 31 January 2008 (BST)

Made it a little more noticeable with a better color scheme. Changed the sign link to a default UDWiki Administration link that way it can work a little better as a template. I don't really think it's that necessary to have the poster's signature involved but I'm sure we could find a better way to do it without substituting. --Karekmaps?! 05:36, 9 April 2011 (BST)

For signatures to work in a template, you have to subst them, which is what he's talking about. See Template:Vandalbot for an example of that sort of thing. Aichon 05:57, 9 April 2011 (BST)

Yeah, I didn't feel it really made sense here anyway. It's actually more of a group thing and probably shouldn't have had it in the first place. --Karekmaps?! 08:54, 9 April 2011 (BST)
