| The Zone Defenders were born out of the idea of the [[Survivor Security Zone]], which was based on a [[Survivor Security Zone#Discussion of General Theory|little discussion]] on the geography of Malton. [[Tynte Mall|F]][[Woodroffe Mall|o]][[Hildebrand Mall|u]][[Nichols Mall|r]] malls that were within 10 buildings of each other were suggested as the foundation for an area that was a strong point of survivor defense, and someone had to defend these malls and the idea of the SSZ. Thus, the Zone Defenders came into existence.
