| Before entering Malton, Bogdan joined the military to make his father proud, a general in the air force. In need of officers, he quickly got promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Upon embarking, he received a brown ribbon from his girlfriend who swore to wait for his return when all is settled. He tied the ribbon to his arm, got on the helicopter and left towards the derelict city of Malton.

| On the 14th of August, 2006, new squads were air-dropped into various suburbs to help keep the zombie population in control. Shuttlebank was the location of squad Delta-091, composed out of 10 well-trained soldiers. Lt.Bogdan was assigned as scout for the team, taking on the greater risk by going alone a few blocks ahead of the other members to signal them for any threats. Irony is that while he was in front, the squad was ambushed by a large group of zombies and got slaughtered. By the time Bogdan came back in response to the gunfire, the entire team was rising from the dead as well. After emptying all the magazines in his pistol and all the shells in his shotgun, he quickly ran away to save his life, promising one day he'll revive his fallen teammates.

| Wandering for months to the north-east, he found himself in Lamport Hills, in the Rolls Road Police Department for salvaging some ammunition for his shotgun. While he was there, he heard cheerful noises from a nearby tavern. He curiously walked in and found himself in the middle of the Smith Arms Regulars. After a few weeks with the drunk yet coordinated bunch, he decided to make Lamport Hills and the Smith Arms his new home.

| He is often seen writing letters to his girlfriend and sending them every once in a while, when a mail helicopter drops by Lamport Hills, awaiting patiently in his guard post for the day Malton will be unsealed and he can return to her.
