Barricade Plan construction
I've fleshed out a barricade plan for Pimbank. After the discussion is over with, we can move it to the main page and I'll delete the map below. The discussion of course will stay on the talk page. Pimbank desperateley needs an official barricade plan, since it comprises the north of the Survivor Security Zone, and I tried to make one that conforms to the Uniform Barricading Policy. The entry points and revive points are based on already existing data. I also tried to keep most buildings VSB - to make the suburb easily accessable to low-level players - but have strategcally placed EHB buildings as additional safehouses.
Please add your comments here. I did this by myself so there may be some screw ups. Thanks for your time! --Benigno SSZ RCC 23:06, 28 March 2007 (BST)
- the Brittan Building [63, 44] should be EHB, it has a Mobile Phone Mast. May Bradbury Library [67, 43] be vsb? situation with entries north of mall is hard. all IMHO --Duke Garland 20:48, 29 March 2007 (BST)
- ah, I was not aware of the phone mast. I've switched it with the Towker Building. As far as bradbury library goes, at one time it was the designated entry point, and then it got moved to the revive point. But I don't see why we can't have both. --Benigno SSZ RCC 00:07, 30 March 2007 (BST)
- I'm all for a good barricade plan --- but it seems that these plans are being ignored routinely, as most of the buildings that are supposed to be VSB are currently barricaded at EHB, making it very, very difficult for low-level characters to find safe haven. Please let's keep to the plan. -- TommyVee 15:57, 7 August 2007 (BST)
- This barricade plan is not UBP compliant as there are far too many VSB buildings. There should be secure EHB free-running corridors from the mall to neighboring areas with the buildings that are not a critical part of these corridors at VSB. The hordes are focusing attacks on weak buildings along these corridors to isolate the mall. The pinch points on these corridors are good locations to build a pinata and seriously disrupt supply routes. Consequently, the pinch points especially need to be EHB, (by way of example see Towker[63,43] and factory[62,42]... these should be EHB) --Txoui Oct 30, 2007
- I agree with Txoui. When was the last time this plan was looked at? It's all well and good providing VSB buildings for low level players but this does not make the suburb safe as VSB buildings can get taken down far too easily. The plan should have VSB TRP's, entry points for the mall with most of the rest EHB with some strategic VSB entry points. -- Archangel Michael Sept 4, 2008
Needs a map key. --Arcology 02:29, 26 June 2008 (BST)
