Oct 14/08 The survivors inside the Suter Boulevard Police Department in Ruddlebank felt the power of the Blues today due to an impromptu, unannounced show by Huddie Ledbetter. The raw emotion he poured forth had the inhabitants moved to tears, recalling better days before the outbreak. There was one Malcontent, however, whose grief moved him to violence. Leadbelly was shot repeatedly and chased from the club by a raving mad drunk. He escaped only through the grace of God almighty. Oct 07/08 Charlie Mingus was struck down in cold blood today, without even so much as a reasonable kill shot speech by RobertBrownieJr. As per MBB policy, those killing the Jazz will be killed by the music whenever possible. On a positive note, The Mingus Big Band has increased it's membership. The fresh members include a new alto saxophonist Jack Dewfall, the legendary soul singer Sam Cooke, and the guitarist Robert Cray. Word around is that there may also be a new pianist auditioning for The Band... Oct 06/08 Huddie is back with the living and delivered a crowd moving show for the sick at Peter General Hospital in Crowbank. He moved the crowd to tears with his playing of Take this Hammer. Oct 03/08 Tragedy strikes today as zombies crashed Huddie's last engagement in Crowbank, killing the famed blues man. As is the case with all members of the band, even in death, they turn it into a chance to bring the music to a new audience. Huddie was last seen launching into some serious riffs with other zeds at a local RP. Soon, others began to lurch to where he was playing the undead blues. Oct 01/08 Huddie Ledbetter of the Mingus Big Band jams with some locals at the Mydleham Building in Crowbank as a tuneup for his upcoming tour. The show is a big success and has now been held over for two more days! Watch for Huddie as he brings the blues to your neighborhood. Sept 25/08 The Mingus Big Band is formed! Recruitment begins, with the first member, Huddie Ledbetter, joining the fray.
