This is very bad.
This is bad.

Even worse, I tagged a couple guys I recognized as mallrats.  They must've rolled [[Buckley Mall|Buckley]] already.

Crunch Time

Woke up to find a phone message from Dickson - "50+ mob just struck Screech Lane PD"

I slept in the 30th floor of the Ryles Building, so I dug my binoculars out of my pack and looked south.

Yup.

Smoke rising out of the PD, mob of maybe ten zeds milling around outside, smaller packs breaking off. Didn't look too organized on the street, but who knows, they're probably regrouping for tomorrow.

So I grabbed my kit and hit the street. Literally. Jumped from a 4th story balcony to the museum next door, ended up with a handful of crumbled ledge and a mess of bruises for my trouble. Looks like the place is trashed already, some of the pack has made it this far north...

Most of the zeds on the street were swaying in the breeze. Guess they were all partied out from the bash at the PD. Surreal.

Took about a dozen samples off the horde. I had a little hope when the extractor identified a couple babah zambahs; maybe this horde wasn't as tough as they looked?

No such luck. Like drilling through knotty pine, I ran into a mess of rotters, had to keep myself from wasting time rescanning.

Plenty of rotten fish in the sea, and all that.

I ID'ed a couple more. Militant Order of Barhah. Hm. One of the larger hordes. Organized, too.

This is bad.

Even worse, I tagged a couple guys I recognized as mallrats. They must've rolled Buckley already.

Guess it's time to see what you're made of, old boy.
