Description

Atkins Cinema is a cinema in Fryerbank.

History

Atkins Cinema was constructed in 1919 by Henry Atkins, a onetime derelict who had been involved in a rather unusual case of arson involving five quarts of whiskey, two phosphorus matches, and several tons of bacon a few years before. Somehow acquitted by the court, he received a large cash settlement and spent the next few years living like any rich derelict would- that is, getting drop-dead drunk at the local pub. After a particularly hard night at the bar, he woke up to discover he had purchased a movie theatre. Still tipsy, he decided to theme it after his bacony misadventure. The idea caught on, and Atkins Cinema flourished as site for many blockbuster food movies, including Lord of the Onion Rings, The Catcher in the Rye Chips, and Jurassic Pork. Sometime in early 2000, Atkins Cinema jumped on the coincidentally named Atkins diet bandwagon. Managers were quick to brag that their sextuple-bypass-deep-fried bacon curds (an Elvis favorite!) were 100% carbohydrate free. Shortly before the outbreak, the cinema was known for showing hour-long infomercials concerning weight loss through pork & beef products.

Barricade Policy

According to the Fryerbank Barricade Plan, this building is to be maintained at EHB at all times, in order to prevent zombies from stealing the "ultimate" bacon recipe.
