**Update** 12/14/07 - We are back in action, hit us up for membership.

Simply put, The Common Heroes are a return to the core idea of Urban Dead. When this game began, it was simply survivors vs. zombies in a locked down, quarantined city. There was no way out, there was no help from the outside. Everyone unlucky enough to be trapped inside Malton City was left to fend for themselves. In this regard, all you had as a survivor was the men and women next to you to count on. You'd help them, they'd help you. The survivor cause in this game (we feel) was always meant to be rag-tag survivors coming together in a dimly lit, barricaded building, trying to formulate a plan and scrounge for supplies. To stay alive, no matter what...and help those less strong than us. Urban Dead has many, many groups and they are all very cool in their own right. However, some of us feel like certain things that have been made for this game (all sorts of technology that is cool and effective) have begun to take away from the essence of what it's supposed to be about. We are a group returning to that base ideal.

Group Goals

Our main goal is to help people. If we are near you, and you need help you'll get it even if we don't know you. We always work in one suburb at a time because; believing that groups of people could work in various suburbs in the chaos that Malton City should be in without reliable communication is kind of far-fetched. The main thing we ask all members to do is play the class they chose as it was meant to be played. If you are a medic, heal people first and foremost. Should you carry a weapon? Absolutely! But you should be stocked to the gills with FAK's. Scientist? Once again, weapons are necessary but you should be who we turn to for syringes and DNA scans. As a group, people can combine their talents and bring something to the table to better the overall. We aim to foster a sense of role-playing out your character and breathing life into them past a two dimensional representation of you on our forum boards. We're interested in people that want to play the game, not get caught up in politics or drama.

Membership

Our membership policy is an open door. We do not care if you were in other groups, if you were a player killer, or what your class is. We simply require you to be a survivor and be playing a survivor class with a healthy desire to help other survivors and spread the vibe. We do not allow player killing, cheating or zerging by our members. Likewise, we aren't interested in people with agendas, people interested in UD's "politics", or trolls who want to come onto our forum and bitch. Please, this game is supposed to be fun and for most of us...a welcome distraction from our daily jobs. So, don't make our day any harder than it already is. If you would like to join, please do!
