Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

Building was over run, barricades are down, the generator is gone, but the zombies have left. Don't have barricade skill but put a pipe across the doors to secure it.

M.H.U. Director Cecil Dariance here! The police department has been secured and a generator has been established. We're setting up a medical waystation here for a few days, so any injured survivors passing through be advised, you can gain access by way of the Duckworth Motel to the Northeast.
