| He had been an expat-scientist in Poland, studying Revivication on a NecroTech grant. It was dark work and never discussed in so-called 'Polite Circles', and when the program was close to discovery, the facility was moved to Chechnya-where even more disturbing experimentation followed. As he fell deeper in to his work, his sanity began to crumble and fade and his behavior became more erratic. As valuable as he was to the Project, his growing issues presented greater and greater challenges to NecroTech. When it was discovered that he had been aiding Shamil Basayev's rebel group with technology and information, he was deemed a threat to NecroTech security and was sent back to the main NecroTech facilities for Observation and Re-education. The Chechen experimentation facility was shut down and NecroTech Cleaning-Teams were sent in to erase all links between Basayev's group and NecroTech (ending the Operation with the assassination of Shamil Basayev himself). Back at the central NecroTech labs, he was prepped for experimental re-education neuro-surgery, and the NecroTech surgeons cut in to his brain. They were not set up to deal with surgical recovery, so he was transferred to Malton to recover in a NecroTech sponsored Hospital. An infection set in, and further neuro-surgery was required. While on the operating table, brain laid bare, news of the Zombie Apocalypse came. He was quickly patched up in a semi-professional manner and left in a comatose state as the Hospital staff fled the area. He woke, unharmed, several days later. There was nothing left of his sanity, so he left the Hospital and followed the directions given by the growling voices in his head. At the Greswell Puppet Museum he donned his Mask and Robes, per the directives of the Puppets, and set out on the work...the Divine work...that was presented to him. He befriended others of his ilk: masked and robed and determined to illuminate the ignorant. He became one of the '''Philosophe Knights''' and began his Holy Work of Illumination. He carries with him a writing kit of a razor-sharp stylus and a sharpening stone: recording his diary of madness in his flesh, each new discovery, healing or kill scored in to his skin by the blood-caked stylus. His body is criss-crossed with festering cuts and ill-healed scars-the story of his life since his rebirth. the Reverand Cyanide has come to Malton to spread The Word...
