IMPORTANT NOTE:

THIS IS PURELY FOR ROLE-PLAYING PURPOSES. ANY TEXT-RAPISTS OR PEDOPHILES NEED NOT APPLY FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING. THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT, EVEN IN ROLE-PLAYING, ARE JUST PLAIN SICK.

Red Mage.gif Roleplaying Notice
Notice: This User or Group enjoys the RPG aspect of MMORPGs, the category of games that Urban Dead falls into. As such, there is probably quite a bit of roleplaying and/or creative writing on this page and in said User/Group's in-game actions. In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off.

The Truth of Human Nature

When Malton succumbed to the zombie outbreak and infestation all order broke down. It was in those moments that humanity revealed to all its true colors as creatures of chaos and desire. Some tried to reverse this trend, imposing false restrictions and order upon them. They misunderstood the true boon of the crisis: humanity could return to its true state as beings free of the constraints of artificial order and embrace their heart's desires.

Chaos

Chaos is the expression of the drive to free one's self from artificial, imposed constraints. These are all limitations society places on us, limitations by morality, custom, religion, science, all things that are meant to enslave humanity. By rejecting the limitations society places on us, by embracing Chaos, are we truly free and able to live our lives as we were meant to!

The Ethos of Chaos

Ethics

Chaos embraces total freedom. Any who would seek to limit the freedom of another person deserve nothing better then to be fed to the zombies. If this means to kill another, then yes by all means you are free to do so.

On Zombies

Zombies are a manifestation of Chaos. They are society's constant self-repression made flesh and lashing out at us for denying our true natures. We feel that each adherent of Chaos is free to decide how they deal with zombies, whether joining them for brief trips to understand the nature of death first-hand, letting them into a building to observe Chaos in action for the more intellectual, or blasting away to slake your bloodlust when other live humans are not present.

Regarding Science and Religion

Chaos believes that any science that would limit what one is capable of is inherently unethical. For this reason we reject their refusal of the possibility of other worlds or supernatural entities as a matter of principal. We also reject the constraints of religion as while it may be possible for there to be a Higher Power or indeed many we believe that religion is built not by such powers if they exist but by humans who use it for their own ends. To live by their strictures is to deny our true nature and, if there truly is a higher power in the universe, blasphemous to It/Him/Her/Them by thwarting Its/His/Her/Their design.

Other Ideas

Some followers wholly embrace the idea of otherworldly entities, calling them "Gods" or "Demons." These groups are one of many that exist in Chaos, their knowledge is often secretive and kept under wraps, all that is known is their "Gods" encourage all humans to live life to the fullest, completely unrestrained.

Others reject this notion completely, believing that all there is lies in the human experience. Because there is no cosmic father figure looking down on us in judgment there is no reason we should not hold back from living out our desires unrestrained.

Interestingly enough both groups get on quite well, noting that when it comes to ways and means they find a great deal of common ground even if they disagree on the why and how. After all, it's the oppressors and rulers who are the real enemy.

Symbol

There are many lesser symbols of following this path but the most recognized is the Eight Point Star, sharing similar derivation from the Buddhist Eightfold Wheel.

The eight points represent the compass directions with the arrows shooting out showing total freedom to be anywhere one desires. The pierced ring represents the constrains of society being broken down by the power of Chaos. Wearing one shows the adherence to the path of total liberation.
