Barricade Policy Enforcement group is a gathering of survivors that check barricade levels of buildings, report survivor groups that are not enforcing their own policies, and help to deter zombie spies and generator killers.
Security For All Malton Travellers
In the streets of war torn Malton many seek refuge from the undead terrors that lurk the night. Step by painful step they scamper toward a lit building praying silently to find help and safety in numbers. As they approach, the shuffle of the hungry masses closes in. Almost in a panic they sprint the last blocks only to be greeted by (this will be the EHB you can find no way to get in message).
"Why can't I get in here?" they cry. "The fools! They panicked and overcaded it all! Now we are all going to die."
Barricades - Don't just keep zombies out
It is human nature to want to be safe. When we hide in a ruined building we instinctively close the door. When we get into a Lightly Barricaded building we make it Heavily Barricaded. It is the survival instinct, however, it is counter-productive.
Barricading a building too high prevents lower level survivors from entering. You never know, that level one that is in there might be the one that drops the zed that slips in while you are sleeping.
Too high of barricades means that you can't just step out. Many times we have tried to just step out and assist a fellow survivor fighting zombies only to have to waste AP moving to a lower barricade level *then* back to where they are. The end result was sometimes both parties dying on the street or getting infected.
Enforcement
Starting now with the surge of survivors in Malton, Barricade levels are extremely important. Our group will go around and collect data on the levels of each suburb and compare that to the stated level of any survivor group in that suburb.
If a suburb does not meet the Official Barricading Policy the survivor group responsible for that suburb will get a Demerit from us on their talk page and a request to make corrections. After 3 such demerits, they will go on Report as a hostile Survivor group. Tags will be placed in the suburb expressing that group X doesn't follow the policy.
But that won't be necessary at all because we know that the survivor groups of Malton are the best!
Special Task Force
The Barricade Policy Enforcement Special Task Force (STF) is responsible for tracking down survivors who are known to be actively helping the zombie cause by intentionally destroying barricades, reporting barricade and/or survivor status to zombie groups, or unlawfully destroying generators and radio transmitters. You may see STF officers in pursuit of known offenders: please do not interfere - STF officers are highly trained to deal with extreme circumstances, and civilians are advised to remain at a safe distance for their own safety.
Members of other groups are welcome to report violations of the barricade policy. The investigative portion of the STFs work would be impossible without users like you.
Joining Us and Reporting Cade Levels
Anyone can join! If you wish to show your support add Barricade Policy Enforcement as your group tag and use our Talk Page to report your suburb!
DISCLAIMER
We know there is a standing Barricade Policy and that it was developed a long time ago and works very well. We are just making sure that people adhere to it and stop panicking and overcading. Malton isn't as dangerous as they will have you believe!
Stop overcading buildings and leaving lower level characters out in the streets. THAT'S what attracts zombies! They are like stray cats. If you feed them once they keep coming back. Lower the cade levels on more buildings so that everyone can be safe and have fun!
