Description
The Upshall Monument was a 15-foot tall stone monument located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. Built in 1921, the monument honors Lord William Upshall (1620-1649). In 1649 Lord Upshall killed twenty-nine men, some his own, during the Battle of Whippleshire. Unfortunately during the battle he was greviously wounded by an opponent's sword. When physicians later attempted to care for his profusely bleeding wound the lord is said to have waved them away each time having declared, "This wee cut? 'Tis only a flesh wound! Ha-ha!". He died later that very night from blood loss, with his last words rumored to have been, "See... the bleeding... it has... stopped". Few other personal or historic details are known about Lord Upshall, save for his passion which happened to be eating meat pies. It is said that more than any other man of his rank and stature he loved to eat meat pies, and once he ate fifteen in a single sitting! Of course people do not go about erecting statues in your name for one's eating habits, so most locals assume the statue commemorated his victory at the Battle of Whippleshire and not his extraordinary pie eating skills. Even so, some survivors wonder why the people of Rhodenbank went to the trouble of building the large monument in the first place. The reason will probably never be known.
The area has fallen into a bit of disrepair as of late, so survivors are reminded to be mindful not to trip over the discarded refuse or severed arms and legs concealed among the now knee-high weeds around the statue.
Revive Point
Please note that this location now serves as an official Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps' revive point. As such, undead survivors can seek revival at this location so they can rejoin the living.
Spraypaint tags often mark this location as a revive point and survivors are reminded not to attack the zombie(s) standing at this location as though they are hostile. There are exceptions to this rule. Survivors must first identify the zombie as either being brain damaged, a known PKer, or a death cultist. Unlike normal survivors seeking revival, these three types of zombies are considered enemies of humanity and therefore can be exterminated on sight. In some cases they may even be attempting to impede normal revivification practice at this location, in which case killing them will be essential for restoring order.
Need a revive? Contact the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps on the group forum.
Need a revive? Post a revive request below, but ALWAYS follow-up by posting another revival request on the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps on their group forum. This is important for speedy revival service.

Medical Assistance
The Upshall Monument does not provide any clinic facilities and is thus not considered to be a clinic. The revivification point does serve as a simple triage area where dead survivors can hope to rejoin the living and thus, the battle. Because of the open nature of the point, members are warned to use the facilities at their own risk should any zombie(s) turn hostile.
Revived patients can either travel northwest to St. Alban's Hospital (81,5) or St. Helier's Hospital (80,6) two blocks to the west, for further attention post-revivification.

December 26th, 2009 - despite the devastation of the entire Northeast suburbs, Upshall continues to be a viable revive point stubbornly held by RCDC and other brave survivors with spare revive syringes --OO Willie 06:25, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
