The 57th Overlanders

Who We Are

The 57th Overlanders are based around the Firefly TV show and the movie it spawned, Serenity. The 57th Overlanders was the unit that Malcolm Reynolds fought in during the Unification War in the Firefly Universe created by Joss Whedon. It is the ideals present in this show that help form the basis of the 57th. As such, we aim to be a small and tight-knit group, with the basic goal to keep flyin', even in a zombie infested wasteland... we may even have to sell little porcelain geisha dolls with heads that wobble to survive.

The 57th Overlanders follows a very broad Vision document which forms the core element of their rules. It should be noted that this applies to the 57th regardless of game. There are provision for a separate document to constitute the Charter of the 57th in a particular game, but as of yet such provision remains unused.

What We Operate & Where

At present we are looking for a base of operations, but are currently defending Dorothey Plaza Police Department and Neot General Hospital in West Boundwood. No permanent location has been selected to establish a base of operations from as of yet though.

What We Expect

This can be summarized in one word: community. This is what the 57th expects out of all of her members. You must contribute to the community in some form, or you will quickly find yourself either inactive or booted. We're friendly folk to all and sundry, but we do expect more you to be a part of the 57th. If you're not willing to put in the time and effort into us, we're certainly not going to put time and effort into coordinating things for you.

Other games of the 57th

The 57th Overlanders currently operate in Urban Dead, Shintolin, Supremacy 1914 and 9 Empires in addition to Cybernations. Further games will be added to this "official" list as the prerequisites are met and as interest demands.
