| == Description ==
| |
|
| |
| An abandoned factory in Lamport Hills.
| |
|
| |
| == Barricading Policy ==
| |
| It is designated EHB by the Lamport Hills barricade plan. Tagging it earns no XP.

|
| |
| == History ==
| |
| Sheehan Consolidated Waste Products (SCWP, pronounced 'Scoop') dominated northern Lamport Hills, occupying two vast factory complexes; the Sheehan Building administrative zone; and spilling over - often literally - into neighbouring brownfield sites and scrublands.
| |
|
| |
| The nearby residential areas were predominantly occupied by its workers, as no-one else could be induced to live near to the foul-smelling and heavily polluted industrial complex. The employees tended not to mix much even with other Lamportians, and the lingering odour of chemicals and waste products which clung to them made them less than sought-after for whist drives, bingo nights and other popular local recreations.

| |
| ===The Lamport Incident===
| |
| Quite what sort of waste products were processed at the factory - and what processes were being carried out - were matters of great secrecy. The stench suggested that all of Malton's human waste ended up here for treatment, and the River Kevan (which runs just to the west of Lamport Hills) was often observed turning strange colours at the bend in the river nearest to the complex, as well as allegedly bubbling, frothing and even flowing uphill.
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
| Given that Malton's conventional power stations, Krinks and Tolman, were located in the extreme south and west of the city respectively, many residents thought the Sheehan on Malton's northern fringe was actually a nuclear power station, and that the waste products it processed were in fact its own radioactive waste. This rumour was bolstered by the occasional faint glow that could be seen above the factory at night.
| |
|
| |
| The presence of radioactive material has been linked by various scientists to the first appearance of the zombie mutation in human organs, and Professor van der Waal has published a convincing study claiming that the Sheehan factory was in fact the source of radioactive contamination which affected patients at the Adalbert, workplace of the doctor-cum-organ stealer Alexis Reed, of Lamport Incident infamy.
