Urban Dead has a few grammatical errors in it. Update them here and maybe the staff will update the in-game grammar, removing common errors from every day life.

They --> It

Error: You attack a zombie. They lose 2 hp and fall to 48. Correction: You attack a zombie. It loses 2 hp and falls to 48.

Reason: A zombie, or any person in the game for that matter, is a singular entity. They is a pronoun that refers to more than one element. Therefore, since the zombie/player is singular, so should be the pronouns and verbs.

  • Quoting from wikipedia "...modern uses appear to be driven by the needs of gender neutral English specifically where English's syntactically singular third-person personal pronouns are all either gender-specific (he and she and their inflected forms) or inappropriate for reference to people (it and its inflected forms)" So this isn't exactly a grammatical error, although it may be considered appropriate to call zombies "it"s -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 07:09, 1 June 2007 (BST)

I'm not sure how to move such information, but I have a stash of them on the main page about 1/2way down. Can somebody move those here if possible? Also, on the military reports, "organized" is spelled wrong.--Kolechovski 20:40, 29 May 2008 (BST)

Needs a space

Found this inside the NE corner of Treweeke Mall (look for the bold writing):

You are inside Treweeke Mall. Trails of looted debris litter the floors and escalators. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. There is a crowd of 53 survivors gathered here...

...A portable generator has been set up here. It is running, and powering a radio transmitter that's currently set to 26.36 MHz. Red Christmas lights decorate the room.One of the shops has been decorated with a fire-damaged painting, a torn painting, a fish skeleton, a European painting, five African sculptures, two skulls and a cracked sculpture.

Can't be bothered with a screenshot, but there's a space missing between "room." and "One". Pretty simple.--Nallan (Talk) 08:16, 18 July 2008 (BST)

Guys, is there some kind of template for posting flaws to this page, or should we just add stuff on down the line?--Kolechovski 19:21, 20 August 2008 (BST)
