Type: convenience/anti-zerging measure |
Scope: Everyone |
Description: A lot of players who have been around have collected various alts and idle and unidle them regularly. One inconvenient detail is that we have to keep in mind where that alt has idled, and when exactly we have put it to sleep, in order to avoid getting too close with other alts. What I've been wondering about is, why use external means when the game could do it itself? Just give the player an e-mail notice when the alt idles after the five day period, along with coordinates so that the player can check back where he has left his alt before he accidentally re-activates it too close to another alt. To avoid abuse, this notice would be delivered by the e-mail connected to that alt. |
Discussion (Idling Notice)
good idea, but personally i would not want any more spam in my mail box.--User:Sexualharrison13:47, 31 July 2011 (bst)
- There could simply be an option to opt out of the idling notice, in the same way you can opt out of game update mails. -- Spiderzed█ 13:55, 31 July 2011 (BST)
- that would work for me--User:Sexualharrison13:56, 31 July 2011 (bst)
Sounds good to me.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 13:49, 31 July 2011 (BST)
Not a bad idea. Would it be sent after five day or after a month? ~ 04:05, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- It would be the 5-day-period. The month period can be checked with the contacts list. -- Spiderzed█ 13:06, 7 August 2011 (BST)
