PHAC - Centre for Biosecurity
Containment Level 4 (CL4) / Malton

Biosecurity is defined as the containment principles, technologies, and practices that are implemented to prevent unintentional exposure to pathogens and toxins, or their accidental release. The application of appropriate biosafety principles is fundamental to ensuring the safe and secure handling and storage of infectious materials and the protection of the public.

National biosafety standards and guidelines pertain to human and terrestrial animal pathogens and toxins. We, the Inspectors of PHAC-Biosec, as enforcers of these standards, have been sent to Malton to a stop the spread of an unknown undeadly pathogen and ensure the safety of citizens abroad.

Inspectors have powers in relation to compliance with the strategic goals of public safety pursuant to CFIA Directives on Biosafety. Failure to comply with PHAC Biosafety Guidelines could have severe implications both to non-compliant personnel and the public at large. Non-compliance will not be tolerted.

In the event of unauthorized release of pathogens or toxins, including infectious materials, immediately seek shelter in uncontaminated safe houses and signal Biosec Inspectors by flare or radio. Do not attempt clean up or containment on your own. Stay inside and barricade doors and windows.

Do not panic. Stay put.
Await further instructions from the Inspectors.
