Critical Mass is the required number of survivors (or zombies) required to hold or maintain a location. In Mall Sieges, Critical Mass can refer to:
- The point at which a survivor will ALWAYS be online and have the capabilities to barricade
- The point at which enough zombies have entered and are standing in one square of the mall to effectively block all barricading
