Guerrillas you can trust

Our goal is to protect the area around Tompson Mall and to slow down the relentless hordes in the area! We are a small independent band of a dozen members. We believe that information is vital and attempt to send warnings to people in the area. We also belive in using guerrilla tactics as often as possible.

Rules of the Rangers

1. Protect new players and the other survivors. PKing is not allowed. If command orders the removal of an infiltrator they are to be located and have their crime broadcast prior to their removal. We do this in accordance with all other regulations.

2. We also believe in a strategy of attack and fade. Most Hordes do not leave behind garrisons to protect what they take. This is their weakness. We rebuild behind their lines forcing them to send out teams to retake them. This helps humans in two ways. One this spreads out the hordes main force, Two it leaves options open for other humans to take refuge.

Ranks

Based on your skills and time helping the rangers the following ranks are available. We Train! No ranks are to be displayed in battle or on radio messages. It is also common for members to remove their group name as to make it harder for PKers and Infiltrators to detect them.

  • Living
    • Civilian: The first rank available after contact. These are the freelance warriors that support the main body by offering Onsite Intel and assisting with the combat operations. (Required skill: Have a radio)
    • Private: The 2nd rank that offers the chance to strike out solo with the support of the rangers. At this rank you are given a ranger number and learn how they change. (Required skill: Radio use and 2 radios)
    • Sargent: The main rank of the group. Usually solo operatives who have 2-5 soldiers under them. At sergeant you are taught how to use the description software and have all codes. (Level 10, proven leadership.)
    • Captain: During a siege if the rangers defend a location they will ellect a seige captain.
  • Dead
    • UnDead Recon: Any dead may join. You will provide intel on the movements of the hordes. Sometimes even embedding with the enemy.
    • Defender in Death: Normal dead rangers that keep finding the zeds!
    • Long Range Recon Team: Higher leveled Undead that traveled deep into zed territory to exploit the ungarrisoned buildings!

Ranger Reports

Recon reports are issued on the following stations:

26.11: The Tompson region report.

26.42: Our main radio station! If you are interested in joining or have a hot tip call it in on 26.42

Current Reports

  • 5/14: Moving back to Lockettside. Operations North of the mall have made the area a little safer and the larger hordes have dispersed. We are also toying with an alliance with TMS.
  • 5/01: The fort is still intact. For the most part it looks like it will hold for a while.
  • 4/26: Looks like the defenses in Nixbank are still holding as the MOB pulls south. Just a reminder these guys like a stand up fight. DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM. We play by our own rules.
  • 4/24: Tompson down... CQD logged. Teams show movement W of Tompson into supporting structures up to 10 buildings away. Most zeds are MOB and of good levels.
    • MOB: Most recon shows this group to use heavy assaults in very cord. attacks. They are prone to leave some Garrisons (about 20% high level regulars and 80% Zergs) in the immediate area behind them. They do not usually try to hold a position (boring). Given this it is better to move in on the flanks and frustrate them.

Current Orders

  • Retake Auxiliary buildings and set up recon posts 10 blocks from the mall.
  • Use flares if needed
  • Fan out
  • Remove IDs from Profiles and Group names
