Description

Name: Melancholy Rupert Scarr

Age: 27

D.O.B.: 9/19/80

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Height: 5'9"/6'3" in boots

Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois

Experience: Originally the lead singer and guitarist of a progressive Glam Rock band called Melancholy Rupert Scarr and the Perennial Pirate Glitter Gang, he was temporarily kicked out of the group for overindulgence in pornography. After the inital zombie infestations, he left rehab to try and find his band and capitalize on the publicity to be gained by performing in front of the undead without any qualms or misgivings. Sadly, most of his band members had already turned or been killed outright. He thus converted his ax into an axe and cut a bloody swath through the hordes of zombies from Penny Heights to Foulkes Village before ending up in Brooksville.

Appearance: He's rather trim and fit, keeping in shape through constant physical activity and zombie hunting. Rupert Scarr dons a large, midnight purple velvet captain's coat, adorned with glitter, a pair of 6-inch belted and modified platform pirate boots, a fishnet undershirt with neck ruffle, deep green leather pants with a number of belts around the waist, a black and red feathered boa, and a velvet captain's hat to top it all off. His hair is black with red highlighted streaks, and is usually pulled back in a ponytail. Also wears lipstick and eyeliner.

Current Status: Rupert Scarr is an active member of the Bandit Queens, doing his part to exterminate the undead filth that roam the streets. He moonlights as a radio personality and occasionally updates the Brooksville area on goings-on in the still active music industry; even going so far as to follow the highly confounding Mrh Rock genre which has seemingly risen from nowhere with deceased and zombified musicians such as Iggy Pop and David Bowie.

Rupert Scarr decided to rent out one of the buildings in western Brooksville for use as a rehearsal space. He hosts open rehearsals for those still breathing and not attempting to eat him, and provides basic first aid to anyone who pops in when he can. Drop by for free autographs, on the house! Almost guaranteed to be extremely heavily barricaded while Scarr is rehearsing there.

A radio transmitter and power supply has been set up in his rehearsal space, allowing for live broadcasts and more consistent updates on the Mrh Rock and Neo Glam genres in Malton's music scene, as well as occasional random nuggets of wisdom.

Scarr has also taken it upon himself to act as MC for all of the BQ holiday celebrations, hosting clothing-optional parties in his rehearsal space and broadcasting live news of the events as they occur.

His tour of Malton was cut short when his home-town fell to undead hands, and he had to amass supplies to bring his Bandit Queen comrades back to life. This leg of the tour proved to be incredibly prolific for the artist, prompting the creation of several new songs in a concept cycle dedicated to the examination of the need for a home to go to after a long journey. The new tracks, one of which is titled "Like An ADHD Afflicted Turtle (Spawning Grounds)," will be aired in Malton when BQ pirate radio goes back online.

Rupert Scarr left Brooksville for a brief musical tour of the Northwest, and came back to his hometown emboldened by experience and some new inspiration. Setting down his guitar, he took up drumsticks and donned an old-fasioned suit for his latest concept album. Based completely off of jazz drummers of the latter part of the 20th century, many of the tracks focus on epic polyrhythms, flashy solos, and features a DVD filmed in black and white with Rupert Scarr acting very much like Gene Krupa in a thirty minute cover of Sing Sing Sing.

Currently, he can be found manning the mic of his radio show again after a long period of downtime. You can also hear him swearing profusely while he attempts to wash the blood out of his clothing and remove the scratches from his monocle.

Background: Born Zack Forrester, Melancholy Rupert Scarr was a part of the Neo-Glam movement in Malton, and a promising young guitarist with a flair for outrageous stage performances. The pyrotechnicians he hired to augment concerts were actually given pension for the amount of work they had to do to satisfy him. At the height of a tour, Rupert Scarr was forced to enter rehabilitation for an apparent porn addiction, to be replaced by a no-name girl in her twenties who flaunted herself onstage more shamelessly than he did. Upon hearing this, he left rehab half-cured and tried to catch up with the band at their last known location, a recording studio just outside of Penny Heights. Upon arrival, he was attacked by zombified members of the group and had to utilize his guitar as a weapon to defend himself. Afterwards, he decided to try and restart his career while taking out as many of the moaning freaks as he possibly could.
