Duties
As with most groups in this post-apocalyptic city, Barnerd Way Police Department has it's own roles within the station. The current roles and officers participating in these are listed and described below.
Medical Officer - These officers deal with the unlucky yet lucky survivors that have had a run in with a hostile and lived. They may have to deal with multiple and sometimes very different injuries, like bullet wounds, minor lacerations or burns. Focusing mainly on keeping fellow officers and the public in good health rather than the eradication of the undead horde.
Current Medical Officers are:
Revival Officer - These officers are those that deal with casualties that do not stay dead. These may be infected individuals who still retain enough of their mind to make their way to marked spots, hoping for the chance to live again. It is the Revival Officers responsibility to ensure those who are brought back from the dead, are citizens, allies or officers of the law, and not potential threats. These officers are the ones who maintain the main revival points of Kempsterbank, located in Ebbutt Road, or the wasteland just west of the Police Department.
Current Revival Officers are:
Patrol Officer - These officers are the backbone of the police force. They are tasked with keeping Kempsterbank safe, through most means possible. They are to protect citizens at all costs, by usually destroying the undead. They may also be tasked with noting possibly player killers, and either taking them out, or updating the station of their position.
Current Patrol Officers are:
Xhani
Bulletin Officer - These officers deal with the problems that arise in Kempsterbank. Whether it is a building broken into by the undead, a new player killer has been reported, or it will be the Bulletin Officers job to spread the news and keep other officers updated with such news. This could be through any way they can find, whether it is spreading the news by travelling to other buildings, or broadcasting them on the generator.
Current Bulletin Officers are:
Recruitment Officer - These officers are in charge of keeping the number of new officers growing, and making sure they settle in to their new career. These will be the ones to go to for advice, and the ones who will invite you to the force. They will be the first to help the newer recruits, and it is essentially up to them how the Police Department grows.
Current Recruitment Officers are:
Carson Shearston
Sergeant - These are the people who organise the station, be it a new barricading policy, or resolving a technicality. These officers are the ones to be level headed, for they get the last say when they say. These figures of authority should be respected, and listened to. It is rare to see many sergeants, due to the authority they have over the officers, and is normally limited to one sergeant per branch. Specialist sergeants are mainly in charge of their respective branch. For example: A Medical sergeant will be able to focus and organise relief efforts for the public, while a patrol sergeant can guide patrol officers to locations they may be more useful.
Current Sergeants are:
Lucy Emrissah
Please note, that though some of these roles are dedicated, adaptability and diversity are key to survival. Therefore it will not be frowned upon that a patrol officer gives medical treatment to a citizen, or revives a member of the undead. Nor will it be discouraged that a medical officer reports on a player killers status, or helps secure a fallen building. Though they should be specialised in their given role, officers are encouraged to be proficient, if not efficient, at any other role(s) they wish.
