Albert Wesker has been working with the Umbrella Corporation since 1978. In 1998, it was assumed that he betrayed Umbrella, but in 2004 it was discovered that he was in fact bringing back the corporation. Since then, he has secretly been working with Tricell, a rival of Umbrella.
